2. Marc Gunn, Bard - "The Braes of Killiecrankie"
http://mp3.com/MarcGunn?cm
=================================================
Marc Gunn is an accomplished songwriter who writes and performs
acoustic folk songs in the traditional World/Celtic music style,
but on the autoharp. He is the main vocalist for the
Brobdingnagian Bards, The Original Celtic Renaissance duo from
Austin, Texas. Marc is also an amazing folk singer who breathes
new life into traditional Scottish and Irish songs with The Bards
and alone. His second solo album, Mountain Rain, combines his
love of traditional Celtic and folk music with his passion for
contemporary songwriting into rainbow of moving melodies.
A while back, I reviewed a version of this song by Schiellion.
I fell in love with this song so much, I recorded my own version.
It's a rousing Scottish song about the Battle of Killiecrankie
that took place in 1689. The first three verses and chorus were
written by Robert Burns in 1789. It's great for jamming to and
at long last it's now available on the "Best of CelticMP3s.com"
compilation CD.

4. Jim Brannigan - "The Troubadour"
http://mp3.com/JimBrannigan?cm
=================================================
Celt Folk Entertainment at its very best. Jim Brannigan is Celtic
to the bone. Born of Irish stock in a small town in the West of
Scotland, Jim brings a performance which is pleasing to any room.
His repertoire includes an abundance of Scottish and Irish
drinking songs and sea shanties and an endless stream of
traditional songs and ballads as well as many of the works of
our modern day poets.
"The Troubadour" is an original song by Jim Brannigan. It's a
bright, pleasant folk song about the buskers on Vancouver Island's
inner harbour. I bet it must be a joy to see Jim perfrom this song
live. I imagine a cheerful smile on his face while the audience
drinks a Guiness and sings along.
