1. Celtic Music News
=========================
"Funny you should mention in your journal today about people
spreading the proverbial "Brobdingnagian word" to other artists
out on the WWW. I did just that a couple weeks ago when you
suggested a tune by Serious Kitchen! I was so taken by their
music that I sought out their website and dropped them a line
telling them how I heard about them (ie. MARC GUNN of the infamous
Brobdingnagian Bards!). Even though I didn't ask them to,
they signed me up for their newsletter. I was MOST pleased.
Keep up your brobdingnagian work."
- Jen from Austin
EVERY DAY IS A GREAT DAY FOR THE CELTS
Well, I threw around the idea, "Should I wait till next year to
feature that belated St. Patrick's Day edition that I never sent?
Then, I thought, wait... This is Celtic music. It's great music
any and every day of the year. Heck! I'm gonna publish it under
the premise that St Patrick's Day is every day for people who
love Celtic music. So here it is. Seventeen songs that I was
listening on the days preceding St Paddy's Day (we were too busy
gigging all day on St. Paddy's Day to listen).
CELTIC LINKS DIRECTORY UPDATED
I'm also pleased to announce that I've updated the links directory.
Now if you have a link, you can go straight to Celtic MP3s.com
and add your site. Of course, I still ask that you include a
reciprocal link, but this should make it easier to update for me,
and get you recognition faster.
Check it out. There's nearly 300 links listed.

DID I FORGET TO FEATURE YOU?
The Celtic MP3s Music Magazine is a part-time venture. I've had
a LOT of requests for features, and quite honestly, they all start
to blur. The ones who stand out are those who are interested in
building a relationship. Bands like The Rogues, Heather Dale,
Emerald Rose, Bow Triplets, Paula Lynch and some of the other
bands listed below.
If you are still waiting for a feature, please feel free to drop
me a line and say hello, how's it going, and when are ye gonna
feature me (with a link). Make sure you're listed in the Celtic
MP3s directory and have a reciprocal link, and I'll give you
priority. Thanks and sorry for the delays!

we grew up with, on hammered dulcimer, banjo, autoharp, guitar
and bass.
14. "Hills of Connemara" by Wylde Nept
http://mp3.com/wyldenept?cm
A night spent at a Wylde Nept show isn't your typical Celt jig.
A Wylde Nept night is sure to contain plenty of dancing, laughs
and strong ale fueled by the antics of the seven members of the
band and the wacky, bobbing charades of their loyal Neptiles.
If you perchance to see us in one of our haunts, please do not
be afraid to wear your Midieval outfits, it can't be any more
harrowing than what lies under those Kilts!
15. "Morrison's Jig" by The Irish Experience
http://mp3.com/IrishExperience?cm
Driving Celtic and Appalachian music played by electric fiddler,
rock guitarist, downright doghouse bassist, and master drummer.
16. "Rantin' Rovin' Robin"by Andy M. Stewart
http://mp3.com/andymstewart?cm
Called one of Celtic music's most gifted singers and arguably
the best songwriter in the entire folk tradition, Andy M. Stewart
has been delighting audiences with his music and humour for two
decades.
Perhaps best known as the singer for the Scottish super-group
Silly Wizard, Andy has had a successful solo career since Silly
Wizard disbanded in 1988, touring with musicians like Manus Lunny
and Gerry O'Beirne. He continues to record and perform stirring
traditional and inspired original songs.
17. "Dancers on your Feet Medley" by Dougie MacDonald
http://mp3.com/DougieMacDonald?cm
Born in Queensville, Cape Breton in 1968 Dougie MacDonald is one
of the finest young fiddler players and composers in Cape Breton
today. His compositions have been recorded by influential Cape
Breton players like Jerry Holland and Kinnon Beaton as well as by
a host of Irish musicians including fiddler James Kelly, whistle
player Brian Hughes as well as Irish-American supergroup Solas.
For the past few years Dougie has been out of the public eye but
with the release of his fourth recording and DEBUT CD, A Miner,
Dougie's name is poised to make its way on to the tongues of
lovers of celtic influenced fiddle music everywhere.
An Irish Blessing
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
