I found another previously unseen by me photo in a book at Borders
called "Big Band Almanac" in the BG section. There is a photo of the
Sextet at Catalina Island, on which someone had handwritten "Benny
Goodman Sextet" at the bottom. Hamp is at the vibes(Johnny G. at the
piano)and Charles is behind him playing an ES250. You can't see the
body, but the neck and headpiece are visible. As far as I know, this
is the only photo of CC playing a 250 WITH that ensemble, and possibly
the earliest with the "white" 250. Comments, questions, insults,
