| Professional a cappella group in search of alto and bass/baritone. An Octave Above, a professional a cappella group, is looking for vocalists to fill vacancies in our alto and bass/baritone section. Vocalists must be independent singers with good intonation and the ability to learn music quickly and adapt to a previously developed group-sound. An Octave Above is comprised of eight singers who perform a cappella music in a variety of different genres including jazz, doo-wop, R & B and pop. Rehearsals are scheduled for week day evenings at locations in a few different suburbs of Chicago. Paid performances average around one per month and mostly occur on weekends with an occasional overnight, week-day or week day evening performance. Performances require memorization of all music and light choreographed movements.
