I was talking to Sundray one day - many a year ago, and we got to
talking about Mary Wells. I told Sundray that I loved Mary Wells and
she told me that she worked with Bobby Womack back in the day. Now
remember Mary Wells was married to Bobby's brother Cecil Womack.

The stories she told me - I won't post here as I'm sure they are for
a book in the future! Oh my what stories Sundray can tell!

Anyway, I mentioned that I had a favorite Mary Wells track and that
it is not one that everyone knows. She said, "Me too." I said, "My
favorite Mary Wells track is 'The One Who Really Loves You.'" She
said, "Oh my, that's my favorite too."

She told me that someday she wanted to record the song but she wanted
to change the style of it. I said, "I don't care what you do to it -
just sing my song!"

I remember talking to her about the recording sessions with Dave
Powner, but she never mentioned recording this one. It was a total
surprise to me when I saw it on the Loving Country 2.
