Thanks Roy,
It is fantastic the old stuff is on iTunes (that is where I got most
of it before I started my quest for the originals) and it will be
fantastic when In the Breeze, Treehouse Poetry, La Dolce Vita and
Melting in the Fullness of Time finally make it up there.
I am however quite perplexed that a reissue label like Cherry Red,
one that should conduct market research about how much the OOP stuff
is changing hands for on Ebay as part of their keeping up with the
secondary market, doesn't seem to want to support the artist and put
the albums back in print.
I am of the belief that the mantra of a reissue label - to keep
music alive - does not and has not done anything about it. A case
in point - regarding the Snake Corps Spice (Best of)- this should
never go out of print. A "best of" should never go out of print!
At least Email is still in print (of which I bought two copies).
I would love to see SLAG & Snake Corps market their own music direct
to the public (could include various solo stuff too from Tony M,
Tristan G-F, etc)
Until then, I personally am grateful that the music is still
available in some format (MP3) until the time comes for it to be
reissued.
Cheers,
Rob from Melbourne
