Terra Australis Incognita mp3 EP series

This new series seeks to document notable Australian experimental artists (both established and lesser known) by commissioning them to produce an EP of material that will then be made available for free downloading online, as well as on CDR.

Volume I by W.I.T. “While You Were Ill…” is now available for free download, or can be purchased on CDR for $10ppd

Volume II by The Feeder “Locus Of Variation” will be available for downloading from August 2005.

Volume III by Undecisive God “Headless” will be available for downloading from October 2005.

Submissions are still open for Australian artists interested in being featured in the series, but get in touch quick because places are filling up fast.  See http://ShameFile.tripod.com for further details.

New on the Shame File catalogue

The Feeder “Scrapings From a Lucid Layer” CD – Melbourne’s Feeder presents a eerie ambient piece constructed using field recordings - $8ppd

Festering Wombats / Vomit Brothers split CD – Festering Wombats were an Adelaide trio recording strange noise in 1981.  The Vomit Brothers tracks were recorded in Melbourne in 1987 featuring David Taskas of Grong Grong and later Volvox; you can hear something like Volvox in these tracks - AU$8ppd

Isomer / Bonsai Kitten “The Way of the Transgressors” CD – split live recording between dark ambient master Isomer and noise exponent Bonsai Kitten, recorded in Adelaide February 2004 - $8ppd
