2004!

--Shows, guitar players, other stuff!

Hey Hey Everyone...
What's going on over there? Things have been very busy around
here -- and not just when it comes to COBRA VERDE. We've been doing
all sorts of other somewhat exciting things: Mark is finishing up
his thesis on the role of Germanic culture on American Heavy-Metal.
Frank took the Silver Feather prize at the U.S.A. juggling nationals.
John has been hanging out with Lebron. And Ed has been doing
voiceovers for infomercials.
That's not to say we aren't crazy busy with CV. Some of our side
gigs even seem to overlap....

LITTLE STEVEN ROCKS WITH CV
Tonight you can hear Ed (and the rest of us) doing voice-overs on
Little Steven's "Underground Garage" syndicated radio show. You see,
LS is going to be airing CV rock action and he wanted some hot spiel
for the show. (To find out what station near you carries it, go to:
www.littlestevensundergroundgarage.com)
That's not all....

THE COBRA VERDE STAR-STUDDED VIDEO
The new Cobra Verde VIDEO is out and hitting the airwaves as we
speak. The response has been pretty amazing. One place even called
it, "A story of social protest and sexual obsession that could only
be Cobra Verde!"
But there's a light side to it, too!
The video stars punk legend MIKE WATT as an "idle American" who
wakes up to a bowl of cereal only to discover that his TV has
been "hypnotized by a band of rock and roll terrorists." Or something
like that.
You see, Watt doesn't like watching CV on TV, but "changing the
dial is futile in this basic-cable-induced game of mind control." It
also stars comedic genius and barfly par excellance George Wendt
("Cheers," Michael Jackson's "Thriller") as a fly fisherman caught in
a "harrowing bait and switch."
Blaxploitaion legend Rudy Ray Moore "reprises his Dolemite
character to keep it surreal." But that's not all: Check out
Danielle, the internationally-renowned Egyptian belly dancer, as she
plays the sultry temptress. But that's not all: Find out how
notorious Hollywood punk character actor Tina B. ("Dharma and Greg")
earned her bad reputation. Just check out

multimedia&sub=riot-industry
But that's not all...

FOOTNOTES, DETAILS, ETC.
First, we'd like to thank J. Mascis for playing guitar in the
band. It was a blast touring the country and having him crank out all
those crazy jams with us. Lately, we've been playing with Tim, our
good pal from Cleveland. That's not to say J. isn't going to playing
some saxaphone with us, on occasion... (Man, he toots like he jams.)
But Tim sure knows the hot licks...You've gotta see him, especially
sober.
For now, we're rocking Cleveland, on Nov. 26, at the Grog Shop,
and Dec. 26, at the Beachland Ballroom. But don't worry if you live
elsewhere. We're going to be touring the country in 2004 -- and
hopefully we'll spend the night with you...
Until then, hope all's well and take care and beware of
uniforms...
John, Ed, Mark and Frank
P.S. -- antiwar.com is still the best web site for anti-war news.
(uh, yeah, because it sees the war as an outgrowth of empire-nation,
not just one guy.)
P.S.S. -- check out our sister site, scamcity.com, for an interview
with Eli Wallach on the making of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,"
working with Clint Eastwood and what it means to always be Ugly. Go
