This is an FYI for any of you that knew Wayne or who know Shannon. A dear loss for all who knew them and for all in the larger Panic family.

Dear friends,

It is with great sadness that I find myself writing to you. The world lost an incredible man yesterday. Wayne Sawyer passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday night. This is a total shock to everyone, especially his wife Shannon Kiss and their daughter Lily. Anyone who ever met Wayne will feel this loss, as he was such an incredible soul.

Shannon has asked me to let you all know that services, to celebrate Wayne and his life, are being held on Saturday October 3, at 2 pm at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta (3098 St. Annes Lane NW Atlanta, GA 30327). There will be a gathering following the service at Martha Temple's house (303 Wilton Drive Decatur, GA). Please feel free to join Wayne's family and friends for either or both of these...the more love, the better.

In lieu of flowers Shannon and the Sawyer family are asking friends to please make donations, in Wayne’s honor, to The Michael Houser Music Fund (www.housertribute.com). Also, and almost more importantly, Shannon has asked everyone to please write Lily a letter to tell her about the man she recently began referring to as “Poppi”. Shannon will save the letters and share them with Lily as she gets older. We all know how amazing Wayne was, it is now up to us to make sure Lily grows up knowing how loved her Poppi was and what a special person Wayne was to each of us.

Please pass this information along to anyone and everyone you think should have it. Wayne was loved by so many, we need your help reaching out to everyone. Also, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the service, what you can do to help, or anything else.
