Description

For many guitarists, the infamous Fender Stratocaster is perfect. However, there are many within the ranks that prefer things a little different, and resort to tweaking, upgrading, hot-rodding and the like. This is not to conclude that the Fender Stratocaster is hopelessly flawed, to the contrary, millions of its players have found hundreds of things going for it. Having said that, this group was created as a tribute to the "hot rod" Strat. Please feel free to join the mailing list and contribute to discussions ranging from setups, basic pickup swaps, tremolo tweaks, refinishing, to all out rebuilding of the Strat. We won't discern against the brand, so if you would like to talk G&L, Tom Anderson, Kramer, Carvin, Peavey, Ibanez, your personally crafted work of art, shop class project or whatever, that will be great. In the interest of Stratocaster design evolution, any topic from vintage to super Strat is encouraged and welcome. And, please, DO NOT SPAM the list.

re-tubing blues deville
I'd like to replace all or some of the tubes in my Fender Blues Deville. Do I need to worry about re-biasing the power tubes?
