NUENDO

Yesterday I spoke to my buddy Allison Thrash. She's in the process of
finalizing her CD. She had the whole thing mixed and mastered. Her producer
had
just acquired Nuendo. He started playing with it and remixed one of her songs,
to let her hear the before and after difference. He told her Nuendo might help
bring out the instruments. She had a listen then called him and said.
"You didn't tell me that it was going to make me sound better."
So she gave him the greenlight to remix and master her entire CD with Nuendo.

Yesterday I also spoke with Larry Seyer. Larry is a ten time grammy winner, a
Nuendo user, and a Nuendo dealer. He's told me he thinks it's the best
platform out there and surprisingly affordable. Here's an article Larry wrote
about Nuendo.

NASHVILLE STAR

Thursday I attended the first round of the Austin Nashville Star auditions. I
heard some really excellent singers. plus I met Tracy Gershon and Rick
Trevino. Tracy said she'd love to come to Austin for an Austin Songwriters
Group
Conference.
I couldn't attend Fridays, but I hope to make it for part of tonight.
BTW there's still a number of Auditions Yet to take place.
http://www.usanetwork.com/nashvillestar/auditions.html
I bet several IFS readers make it to the finals again.
I love to help out my friends.

I've been doing a great deal of cowriting this week because one of my Houston
cowriters is in the mood to crank out an album of songs, so I've sent her
several lyrics.

MP3.COM

MP3 went down. I've had mp3.com/ande since Dec 1999. So I've been loading

Lloyd Webber Eyes Warner Chappell
Theater composer and entrepreneur Andrew Lloyd Webber has expressed formal
interest in purchasing Warner Chappell, the publishing division of Warner Music,
from the consortium led by Edgar Bronfman that recently bought the label from
Time Warner. The publishing arm could be worth as much as $1 billion,
according to analysts, an amount Lloyd Webber reportedly is confident he can
raise.
It remains to be seen whether Bronfman wants to hold on to the publishing arm.

Speaking of Liz Pappademas, in addition to being a finalist in the Texas Demo
Review
Liz now has a website:
http://www.lizpappademas.com/

I'm such a Liz fan! She used a quote I wrote about her:

"Liz Pappademas is one of the finest new writers in Austin. She is a huge
talent waiting to be discovered. Keep your ears on this rapidly rising lone
star."

from: wahine_toa_99@...

I am a female singer (and dancer) seeking pop songs to sing.
I come from a family of entertainers; my father was a singer.
I have also appeared on several episodes of the TV series Hercules.
I have contacts in the entertainment industry and in particular with a record
company. The record company I have contacts with have a UK and Australian
distribution deal.
I am virtually guaranteed a record contract with the right song.

I have a strong black sounding voice like Natalie Cole , Anastacia, Alison
Moyet,Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summers , Aretha Franklin but can also sing ballads.
My vocal range is at its best in the range an octave below and above middle C.
I can read basic music and play the keyboard. I am not a country singer nor a
rapper.

Thank you for your time.
