Dear IFS Readers,
Hope you're doing wonderful, I just got back from 2 weeks of back
packing and camping near Cimmaron, New Mexico at Philmont Scout
Ranch. What an experience! Any IFS readers Boy Scouts, Boy Scout
parents or ever been to Philmont?
During my trip, I wrote one lyric on the way home, I send it to a
cowriter this morning and she wrote back saying she "likey." Maybe
she'll jump on it and work it up. I started a few others as well.
My biggest little development is I received a check from ASCAP
for "Home Made of Stone" Perfomances. It's about enough to buy
dinner for two some where nice. Maybe it's the end of those letters
that begin
"WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU we found no performances of your works in
the previous quarter."
First this is REAL short notice BUT,
ALLIE DANIELLE & BRIAN HANKINS are performing at
THE COTTON CLUB & STEAKHOUSE in Granger AT
6:30PM ON
SUNDAY JULY 17TH.
BRIAN'S LABEL RCA AND PRODUCERS
RANDY SCRUGGS AND FRANK LIDDELL WILL BE THERE.
COME SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.
TERRY

Congratulations Brian, Allie, and Terry. it's not every day that
Frank and Randy come to Austin.

Here's a little more about Mez who created my "Ain't Gonna Stop" Demo
mez has been involved with music since early childhood. Ten years of
classical piano discipline to self taught rhythm/lead/bass guitar;
paving the way to songwriting and lead vocal duties; building an ADAT
project studio; honing skills as a drum and bass programmer; and
finally giving way to computer based music recording. And practice...
mez has performed and recorded with rock bands since the late 1970's,
having success in song placement within the top 40 of a few rock
stations in the New England markets. It wasn't until the late `90s
when he traded in dreams of rock goddom for serious song crafting.
Armed with a Mac and Cubase, mez writes, performs, and records songs
in his home studio for placement in film, television, and with
artists.
In addition to signing multiple song publishing deals with Global
Graffiti Music and SongCastle Music, mez has had 18 songs placed in
various independent films. He also records demos for other
songwriters in need of getting their songs out there and noticed.

Hey I needed help finding a R&B/pop singer to replace a member that
left the group. We have plenty of producers to work with and do
traveling to gigs in the Tri-State area and are planning to shop a
demo shortly. The ad is below I hope you could help.

Philadelphia male Vocal group Undefined is still in search of one
more member to complete their already existing group. They need a
high tenor with capabilities to sing strong in harmony and to catch
onto material quickly. Age range is between 16-24.
The group rehearses in Philly at least 2-3 times a week and at
least one time a week in New York City with a production/artist
Development company. Along with that they also have songs from
European producers to record as soon as possible as well as many
established Philadelphia based contacts.

can do that. We have male and female songwriter attendees on a
