Dear IFS Readers,
I hope this email finds you well.
You'll find some SINGER Searching FOR SONGS LEADS in this issue.
Has anyone out there ever found songs or gotten cuts because of IFS
leads? Tell me about it. I love reading your success stories.
I'm more than happy to share song search leads, of course I want to
get cuts, but I want artists to find the very best songs they can. I
want my songs to compete against other songs. I want my friends to
get cuts. Some songwriters keep their leads a secret. I'm happy to
share leads unless a someone asks me not to.
Congrats to the Bards their CD "brobdingnagian fairy tales" is now
the #1 selling CD on CDBaby.com
http://cdbaby.com/cd/bards6
Today I spoke with Helen Chernikof from the Austin American Statesman
and told her about a few friends how received help from their fans to
finance their CD's, projects, and help their careers. I mentioned
Idgy Vaughn, Sarah Sharp, Sara Hickman, and Abi Tapia.
Idgy's friend financed her CD.
Sarah wrote a business plan and raised $35,000.
Sara Hickman got dropped from her label and her fans helped her buy
back her master recordings.
Abi presold her upcoming CD at various levels to obtain funding.
Does anyone else have stories of how your fans helped you finance
your CD?
I'm considering creating a for sale CD of some of my better songs. I
noticed that Molly-Ann Leikin put her "Sliced Bread" CD up on
CDBaby.com It's looks to me like she just burned a CD of her demos
and sent it in to them.

I was curious if anyone has any suggestions.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Which songs should I put on the project?
Good luck guys,
Ande
