As an example the Texas unclaimed property website is:

Enter your last name and city
and you might find things that belong to you

You might want to search for
your businesses, entities, and family members
Also check parents, grand parents, brothers, sisters, coworkers,
clients, and friends
You're bound to find something that belongs to someone

If you or someone has everlived out of state
drop by:
http://www.unclaimed.org
Then click on "Owners"
Then click on "Find Property"
Then click on the state you want to search and
Do a search at that particular state's site
