For Songwriters, Musicians, Artists, Music Ministers...

2007 New Thought Songwriters Tribute Awards

http://www.itoiministries.org/itoitributeinfo.htm
http://www.itoiministries.org/songsubmission2007.htm
$9 Song Submissions till 9/15, then $15
Awesome awards program forwarding positive, spiritual music for all
faiths. If your song is nominated you will have the opportunity to
be a part of nationwide Posipalooza Concerts as well as flown to the
summer Awards ceremony. It's been such a blessing for me as a
nominee & recent winner to be able to share my music around the
country & to be honored in such a special way. Please consider
submitting your music if it fits in with one of these categories:
Group/Chant songs are prayers to be sung in groups or congregations,
with the express purpose of connecting people with God and with each
other.
Inspirational songs inspire us into action and empower us to make
the difference that can transform the world. Any one of us has that
potential.
Personal Transformation songs help us to grow into our full
potential as spiritual beings by giving us suggestions on actions we
can take to become our best spiritual selves.
Humorous songs use humor to deliver a New Thought message of any
theme.
Healing songs affirm the wholeness of body, mind, spirit, and the
world, no matter what outer appearances seem to tell us.
Most Uniting New Thought Message songs affirm our common heritage as
children of one Creator. They help us see through the politics that
separate us into the heart of humankind where we are all truly
equal. Namaste

ASCAPLUS Award notifications Arrived

I got one in the mail this week. Below is a notice from Dennis
Livingston and I spoke with Halie Loren who also received one.
In January 2007 ASCAP is going to mail us check. Not sure when the
2007 Award Applications begins but the deadline is probably sometime
in june.
Did you Get one?

Boston cabaret songwriter Dennis Livingston has received an ASCAPLUS
Award
for 2006-07. This program is not a songwriting competition, but
intended to
recognize work done by member writers of ASCAP who are in early or
mid-career stage and, for more established writers, work done mainly
outside
of broadcast media. Awards are granted in Classical, Jazz and Popular
Divisions I applied in the latter and are based on the recent
performance history of onešs catalog. As a non-performing
songwriter, I am
especially pleased at this acknowledgment that my songs are being
covered by
singers performing across the country and abroad, including Lua
Hadar's
recording of "An Ordinary Day" on her CD, "It's About Time." My
songs can be
heard in full at
www.dennislivingston.com

SINGER SEARCHING FOR SONGS

more details on the one I mentioned last time

arahimi@...

Good morning Ande,
Obviously by now you have been warned about my 12 year old daughter
Elle Rahimi.

To give you a quick profile on Elle:

She is 12 years old & a honor roll student in 7th. grade and has a
passion for music. During the past 4 years Elle's music achievements
have been accomplished locally under the care of vocal instructor
Mr. Robert Zoppi Jr.

Within the past 2 years Elle released two CDS, the latest
being "Freedom" for which we distributed aprox. 400 complimentary
copies amongst family & friends.

In April 2006 Elle was selected by 98 Rock (local radio station in
Sacramento) to perform the National Anthem (twice) at Infineon Race
Way in Sonoma Ca. Panel of judges, which included: Steve Page,
president and general manager, Infineon Raceway; John Kessler,
morning news anchor for CBS-TV (San Francisco); and Chris Cotter, 98
Rock FM. Elle has entered and won multiple talent shows in
Sacramento, Rocklin & Roseville California. Her music idles include
Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood & LeAnn Rimes. She loves to sing
country & top 40!

Attached please find two sample songs from her latest CD Freedom as
well as her picture. Although her mother and I don't mind her voice
being posted (in an event you require) we are strongly against
having her picture posted at this point. Also please feel free to
post my email address incase other writers are interested in
submitting their songs.

Thanks & hope to hear that one amazing song that we are all waiting
for...

Take care

Ali Rahimi

ericcopeland@... writes:
I'm excited to announce a brand new service from Creative Soul in
Nashville!

ChristianSessionPlayers.com

A new paradigm in recording great musicians. With the instant
communication and connectivity of the web, the top musicians of
Christian Music can be yours for cheaper than buying a plane ticket
to
Nashville.

Use the players who play regularly for Michael W. Smith, Keith Urban,
Rebecca St. James, Avalon, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, and Sara Groves.

Our goal is simple: To provide quality session players to everyone
despite where they are physically located, bring high quality
performances to your project, and providing these deserving players
with consistent work.

What is the purpose of this site?

We've worked outside a music city trying to get projects done, so we
know the challenges you face. You really want to record the project
yourself, yet the talent pool around you is sometimes not as strong
as
coming to
Nashville. However, budget, time, and other reasons make it
impossible
to take the steps to record here.

Also, it's not always easy to make relationships where you know you
will get the quality that you hear on major Christian releases. We'd
like to become your conduit to the industry here and help you make
great records for years to come.

OK, that makes sense. How can I justify the costs?

Well, if you think about it, you'll spend $50 an hour on studio time
recording a guitar part. So probably $100 there. Then you'll have to
pay the player. That's $50-100. By that time, you're paying $200 for
a
decent area player. With our service you're spending $50 more to get
the top player in Christian music today. And believe us, it makes a
difference. That's why we moved our business here a few years ago!

Also, you're getting the experience of our producers who work with
these musicians and on high quality Christian recording every day.

Check it out today at
www.ChristianSessionPlayers.com

Write On,
Ande Rasmussen

Does anyone ever read IFS to the VERY END?
