I ended up buying the Soundtower editor and it works a treat! Still haven't found a basic list of the presets though. Very odd. Doesn't matter much now...

i got the cheaper --'detent encoder  ' upgrade  and it seems to do the one click peek thing pretty normally.   its those original crappy encoders...
