It is possible and I've done that, sounds very good indeed.

The only thing is that you need to spend some time adjusting the MIDI notes for each instrument (on the Yamaha) to map and match with the EZdrummer ones.

I don't have the docs here but you can find them easily on the web.

I can't help with the answer to your question..sorry--But I am wondering about EZDrummer. I have been looking at the HD-1 Tutor -which is like a High end version of Rockband (and works with the Roland HD-1 ¨ only - I think? --still waiting on officaly word on that.
anyways my question to you and the forum.-
from what you are saying- ¨ CAN you hook up yamahaDTEX drums via midi to this EZdrummer and be able to trigger a multitude of sounds from that program..?
I cant find any real explainations on the www.

Good luck seperating kick and cybal/snare triggers..
if it works like you say it does...I'll buy it---troubleshoot~

Greetings..I have the older DTXpress drums, from 2000, I believe...I recntly purchased Toontrack's EZ drummer, and I can't seem to get the instruments to "line...
