I AM 53,i was there when it came to be,i still amaze people with cow
and dagmar,they were artists nearing the level of the great paul
hindemith,much of their knowlege of beautiful melodies and rhythm,use

It's the original 7" News from Babel release, included in the
subscription series for ReR, and then part of the Recommended Records
7" series, now long out of print.  I like the song quite a bit,
though it's not particularly long or significantly different from the
material in other two CDs; of  course Dagmar sounds excellent, as
does the entire band.  For me it's great to have the complete
picture, and to be able to hear this otherwise very obscure piece,
restored with the original art work from the single.

Still I don't think it's the best reason to buy the News from Babel
box, I think the re-mastering work on all the material in the box is
the real winner here.  I've known this material since the 80's, but I
was incredibly surprised at the level of detail that comes out in all
the recordings, so many musical gestures that I never noticed
before.  Kudos to Chris Cutler and crew for restoring this important
and excellent music.

It's not difficult to prevent that kind of spam, but I guess Thor just
doesn't have the time for it.

What I do in my groups is to moderate the posts of all new subscribers,
changing their status to unmoderated once they've posted, which obviously
indicates if they're a spammer or not. If Thor hasn't the time do do that,
then I'll be glad to assist.

Thanks, that's such a shame :-(

By the way, many thanks to those here who contributed extra for their copy.
