It is my pleasure to formally announce Surfside Chorus' B.O.T.Y. is none
other than:

Bill Hibbert!

Bill joined Surfside Chorus in 1989 and has been contributing ever since.
Last year when we lost our Director suddenly and with little notice, Bill
stepped in and up from his unofficial Assistant Director position and kept
Surfside going for the next six months until we could hire a new Director.

Bill's quartet, Intracoastal Connection [where he sings Lead], is also a
staple of our sing-outs and shows and gave us a solid fifteen minutes at
our annual Installation Dinner last Friday where the award was presented. I
believe we did manage to surprise him with this well-deserved honor. [grin]

Bill currently resides in Ponce Inlet, Florida [part of the Daytona Metro
area], with his lovely wife, Shirley, and also directs another group of
Barbershoppers in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, every Monday at 1 P.M. at the
Brannon Senior Center on Riverside Drive, if you're ever in the neighborhood.

We are lucky to have him as an Assistant Director, a quartet leader, a
fellow Barbershopper, and a friend.
