**Street Dogs Win 2 Boston Music Awards For Best Local Punk Act And
Best Local Male Vocalist**
NEW YORK, NY -- Brass Tacks/DRT recording artists Street Dogs will
join Throwrag and The Briefs on the road beginning July 11. The band
recently finished up a short west coast tour with Tiger Army in
support of their latest effort, BACK TO THE WORLD. The album title
(and song) is a tribute to the tribulations all soldiers endure who
serve abroad, and was inspired by lead singer Mike McColgan's own
experience as a GI.
Released in February, BACK TO THE WORLD has garnered critical acclaim
from a variety of publications, including Classic Rock ("It's
singalong, drinkalong, Irish punk at its finest. An awesome debut.
4/5*s"), Kerrang ("Street Dogs have us grinning from ear to ear with a
set of no-frills street punk that hits the target square on."),
Alternative Press "McColgan could teach his former band a few tricks.
4/5"), and Boston Herald ("Lyrics with brains behind the brawn. Yep,
this is the real thing. 3 ½ *").

-Howe-Squire-White More Drama Tour Set To Launch August 2, With
Legendar Prog-Rockers The Syn, To Be Presented By VH1 Classic
Tour to feature three Yes solo/side projects and special encore set
Fans pre-ordering tickets via selected radio websites will receive
free compilation CD
LOS ANGELES -- While Yes takes a well-earned break from touring this
year following its critically acclaimed 35th anniversary arena tour,
three core members (drummer Alan White, guitarist Steve Howe and
bassist Chris Squire) will combine forces to offer a primer on the
past, present and future of Progressive Rock. The trio hit the road
with the More Drama Tour beginning August 2, 2005 in Seattle. The tour
will be presented by VH1 Classic. Pre-sale tickets will be available
on YesWorld.com from June 16-19 (with special Fan Club packages,
meet-and-greet opportunities and merchandise) as well as VH1.com and
various radio websites from June 20-24. Tickets will be available to
the general public on June 25. More dates will be announced as they
are announced.
The tour features performances by four distinct bands, one of which is
the legendary pre-Yes Prog Rock pioneers The Syn, featuring Yes
bassist Chris Squire and original vocalist Stephen Nardelli. The Syn
is a group that launched the progressive movement in England with
their legendary shows at the Marquee Club in the mid-60s.
Another of the acts will be Yes drummer Alan White's recently formed
side project White. The band also features keyboardist Geoff Downes
(who was a member of the seminal British New Wave band The Buggles
["Video Killed The Radio Star"]) along with partner Trevor Horn when
the two joined Yes during the early '80s for the highly successful
Drama CD and tour. Downes was also a founding member of the band Asia,
where he teamed with legendary Yes guitarist Steve Howe. Howe will
perform a set of solo guitar work in between sets by White and The
Syn. Steve's solo guitar performances are a highlight of every Yes
show, and on this tour, fans will get to hear a full set showcasing
his extraordinary talent.
Following the solo and side-project sets, Howe, Squire and White will
be joined by Downes to treat the fans to a set of songs that Yes fans
have rarely heard performed live, including Dramas Tempus Fugitand
Machine Messiah. The last time Yes performed these songs live was 25
years ago during their 1980 world tour which included a still-standing
record of consecutive sold-out appearances at New York City's Madison
Square Garden.
A free compilation CD, featuring new music from forthcoming
full-length projects by The Syn, White and Steve Howe along with some
audio-only versions of songs from Yes' forthcoming 35th Anniversary
DVD, will be given away to fans who buy their tickets on participating
radio station websites which will be announced shortly.
The Syn was a group formed in 1965 by Squire and Nardelli, with
guitarist John Painter, drummer Martyn Adelman and late keyboardist
Andrew Pryce Jackman. The group's complex arrangements and orchestral
coloring led to the development of Progressive Rock though its
permanent booking at London's Marquee Club, where they would support
groups like The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream and Jimi Hendrix. When Squire
met vocalist Jon Anderson several years later, he formed Yes launching
an amazing 37-year run. Nardelli, who got involved in London's
swinging 60s fashion scene, went on to become a leading figure in the
athletic shoe industry.
Squire and Nardelli have remained friends for 40 years and have formed
a partnership to launch a new company, Umbrello Entertainment, which
includes a U.K. record label that will be releasing The Syn and White
albums as well as a satellite music TV network, THAT-TV.
The flurry of activity comes as Yes prepares a pair of summer
releases, including the 35th Anniversary: Songs From Tsongas DVD
(Image Entertainment), scheduled to come out in the U.S. on August 9,
2005. The double DVD, shot at Tsongas Arena in Boston, MA during Yes'
highly acclaimed 35th Anniversary Tour, showcases the band in high
definition and a state-of-the-art 5.1 Surround Sound audio track. The
DVD features the reunited classic line-up of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe,
Chris Squire, Rick Wakeman and Alan White. The Word Is Live, a box set
of Yes live concert performances, is scheduled for release by Rhino
Records on August 23, 2005.

-Original Lineup Of Testament Will Play Thrash Against Cancer; 4 More
Bands Added To The Benefit
SAN FRANCISCO -- The original lineup of Testament will headline the
Thrash Against Cancer benefit, which will be held at The Pound's
amphitheatre on Saturday, July 9. This will be their first show in San
Francisco since 1993 with the classic lineup that recorded THE LEGACY.
Brocas Helm, Dreams Of Damnation (featuring former Dark Angel
guitarist Jim Durkin), Agent Steel, and Dekapitator (featuring Andy
Maniac and Matt Hellfiend of Exhumed) have recently been added to the
bill.
Hirax, Laaz Rockit, Vicious Rumors, and Mudface (Death Angel guitarist
Ted Aguilar's side project), original Anthrax vocalist Neil Turbin and
his band Deathriders, Imagika, will also lend their support to this
historic event. Steve "Zetro" Souza, ex-vocalist for Bay area thrash
bands Legacy and Exodus, will emcee the benefit.
"To see these bands coming out of the woodwork lending their support
to this benefit -- some with their original lineups and some who
haven't played together in years -- makes me proud to be a part of the
Bay area scene," said Testament vocalist Chuck Billy. "This benefit
for Keith Regan's family has been a long time coming and I'm pleased
not only that the show is finally coming to life, but that it's turned
into a major event with volunteers, bands, and businesses alike doing
what they can to help out. You don't have to be a metal fan to come
out to The Pound and give your support to help families who have been
affected by this terrible disease."
Proceeds from Thrash Against Cancer will aid in the financial recovery
of families dealing with life-altering medical diagnoses.
Among the families that will benefit from the concert are Keith and
Brandy Regan, whose son, Cole Regan, was born with cancer
(leukemia/AML) and survived until just three months short of his
second birthday. The show will also help other families who have who
have children with pediatric cancer and are in severe need of help.
Tickets for Thrash Against Cancer benefit are $40 in advance and are
available through Ticketfusion.com and at The Pound SF's box office
(415-826-5009), as well as http://www.poundsf.com/ . Ticket price
includes a barbecued item, a beer or soda, and a raffle ticket. Halo
Guitars has donated a guitar for the raffle, and some of the bands
will be donating their personal gear to be raffled off as well.

-Francesco Fareri - FORBIDDEN DIMENSION
Release Date: 28th July 2005
Genre: Guitar Instrumental
~ Album Bio ~
FORBIDDEN DIMENSION is the debut release on Lion Music from 7 string
guitar whiz Francesco Fareri and the successor to his extremely
successful independently released debut album SUSPENSION.
FORBIDDEN DIMENSION heralds a newer sound to Fareri's bag of tricks,
long time fans will still find plenty of Francesco's trademark high
speed playing within a shred/progressive framework, yet there is also
a fresh fusion influence on a few lurching within.
On the album Francesco comments, "This second album can be considered
my first real album, for the reason that I've recorded with
professional players as Jon Doman (drums), Kyle Honea (bass), Vitalij
Kuprij (keyboards and piano) and Bob Katsionis (keyboard solos).
"Once again the album isn't only a guitar album but a CD focused on
the beautiful sound of each instrument as drums, bass, piano,
keyboards and guitar. The rhythm section is powerful and melodic and
the solos played at unison by guitar/keys seem to slide on the rhythm.
The guitar solos are played with the idea of putting together shred
and melody... anyway music doesn't need words to be explained..."

Unflinching before today's anachronic encumberings, archetypes of
discord undulate among platitude and retort, through dreams merged to
ebbing beyonds.
With the reflected superbness that glistens in the mad beauty of
corpses to be, LULLABIES FOR LUNATICS is the writhing stillborn opus
meant to enchant both poles of the human aural paradox.
Power that grins, the dark muse clustered in five elements her

-King's X Signs With InsideOut Music America
New Studio Album Set For North American Release On September 27, 2005
The critically acclaimed, highly influential Texas-based rock trio
King's X has signed with InsideOut Music America. The band's recent
work has been released by InsideOut except in North America, and
signing with IOMA unifies its label worldwide.
The first new King's X album from guitarist/vocalist Ty Tabor, bass
guitarist/vocalist Doug Pinnick and drummer/vocalist Jerry Gaskill
under the new deal will be released in North America on September 27,
2005. It is currently untitled and will include up to 14 songs; the
track listing is being finalized.
"Signing with InsideOut is due to the longstanding relationship we
have with the great people at the label like Thomas Waber in Germany
and Jim Pitulski here in America," says Tabor. "It's another
opportunity where we found ourselves free to make a change. We have
signed with a new booking agent too.
"With InsideOut, we have that friendship and we have the same goals.
They are also realistic and honest. They don't pull punches. It's a
logical match."
Tabor first got to know Waber and Pitulski in recent years via his
solo and all-star side projects such as Platypus, The Jelly Jam and
Jughead that were released by InsideOut. Gaskill's solo album COME
SOMEWHERE was also issued by the label.
The new King's X album was produced by Michael Wagener, who has
produced, engineered or mixed work by the likes of Metallica, Alice
Cooper, Queen, Ozzy Osbourne, Dokken, Megadeth, Motley Crue, Skid Row,
Extreme and many others.
"This was a big change for us after years of self-producing our
albums. We wanted to be free to focus on the music itself. Things were
often fragmented the past several years. I had to oversee a lot of
business things -- such as working with different labels for different
territories -- that sometimes didn't allow me to really focus on the
music as much as I wanted," Tabor says.
"Michael wasn't pushing us in any one direction. It was just four guys
having a good time creating sounds and music. It's a broad-sounding
record. It's hard to compare our music from album to album, but
vocally this one has elements of early King's X and sonicaly it's
similar to our recent ones.
"It feels so fresh to be able to concentrate fully on the music. I
honestly believe this new album is our best record in many, many
years."
King's X also plans to shoot videos for two singles from the album,
their first promotional clips since 1998's "Tapehead." They will be
directed by Dr. Teeth, who has helmed videos that are all over MTV for
artists such as new hip-hop sensation Mike Jones. Tabor loves Dr.
Teeth's hip-hop videos -- "The guy is extremely talented," he says --
and they met through mutual friends in Houston.
Tabor explains that the band is refreshed after having taken this year
off so far.
"This was our first break after five straight years of torturous work
on King's X and side projects. It was absolutely non-stop. Zero time
off," he says.
King's X is back with renewed energy and creative fire, and the
eclectic nature of the band's work and InsideOut's expertise in
quality handmade music makes it a perfect partnership.

found a new way to 'rock your world' ... with a pair of signature hot
sauces.
Perry -- whose new solo album, JOE PERRY, is in stores now -- will
join the rest of the Rock Your World crew in attendance at the
National Association for the Specialty Food Trade's (NASFT) Fancy
Foods Show July 10-12 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
Both Joe's signature sauces -- "Rock Your World Boneyard Brew" and
"Rock Your World Mango-Peach Tango" hot sauce -- are being considered
for food awards, which will be announced at the show.
A longtime fan of spicy food, Perry grew tired of concocting his own
sauce by blending different commercial hot sauces to create the right
balance of flavor and heat. Four years ago, he contacted Ashley Foods
-- a Boston-based food company -- about formulating his own hot sauce.
A year later, Perry unleashed the Rock Your World Boneyard Brew, an
all-natural mix of fresh habanero peppers, onions, garlic, lime juice,
red bell peppers, chipotle peppers and aged red wine vinegar.
Taking its name from The Boneyard -- Joe's basement home studio -- the
sauce uses the freshest ingredients possible and contains no
preservatives. "I like a sauce that adds some heat but doesn't
overwhelm the food," Perry explains. "There are plenty of sauces out
there that will blow your brains out; I wasn't interested in that. I
wanted to create an everyday sauce with no preservatives for people
who want to add a little zest to their food."
Far from a celebrity-endorsed product, Perry was deeply involved in
each step of product development from the taste to the packaging. "The
bottom line is that I won't put my name on anything -- from a Les Paul
guitar to a hot sauce -- that I don't personally use."
It was Perry's grandfather who first turned him on to fiery flavors.
"My grandfather's doctors told him he couldn't have spicy food
anymore, so he had a secret stash of hot pepper that he used to share
with me," Perry recalls. "When I started traveling a lot 25 years ago,
I was exposed to a wide range of cuisines and fell in love food that
packs a kick."
Last year, Perry introduced the Rock Your World Mango-Peach Tango hot
sauce, a flavorful mix of habanero peppers, mangos, peaches onions,
garlic, lime juice, red bell peppers and aged red wine vinegar. The
tropical twist, Perry says, was inspired by his trips to the Caribbean
and the bottles of Matouk hot sauce he saw on every restaurant table.
"The tangy taste of fresh mangos and the bite of habaneros complement
each other for an intense sweet heat," Perry explains.
Hard Rock Cafι currently serves Rock Your World Mango-Peach Tango with
its quesadillas and uses it for the Mighty Mango Mary, a twisted take
on the classic Bloody Mary. Part of the fun, Perry says, is hearing
about the new ways people use his sauce. "I never would have thought
to use the sauce in a drink like that. It's strange, but it's like
writing a song. Once you put it out there, people will interpret it
different ways. Instead of telling me stories about my songs, now
people are telling me their Rock Your World recipes."
Two years ago Aaron Hirsch -- Joe's son and the company's CEO -- began
raising the company's profile through an aggressive marketing and
advertising campaign along with the expansion of the Web site
http://www.joeperrysrockyourworld.com/ , which includes t-shirts,
recipes and limited-edition, signed bottles of hot sauce. "Right now
we are developing other products by putting our unique twist on the
kinds of snacks you would find in the pantry on the Aerosmith tour
bus," he says. "We are also exploring ways to donate a portion of the
company's profits to a charitable organization."

TRAIL OF TEARS - FREE FALL INTO FEAR (A-) Napalm Records, 2005
10 tracks, RT: 45:00
FREE FALL INTO FEAR could just as easily been called FREE FALL INTO
EVERYTHING. The fourth album from Norway's Trail Of Tears combines so
many genres of metal my mind hurts. The super talented seven member
band effortlessly blends gothic, progressive, death, black, trash, and
operatic metal. My best analogy for their sound would be Paradise Lost
playing Type O Negative sounds using Cradle Of Filth's instrumentality
to play Iron Maiden without sounding at all like Iron Maiden.
Basically FREE FALL INTO FEAR defies description with high concept
songs and wonderfully orchestrated music. Track #2 "Carrier Of The
Scars Of Life," for example, starts off with an awesome, catchy riff
and then catapults you into a simultaneous blast of melodic death
metal screeching and a gothic chorus with the patented kick-ass
machine gun drum sound, which is then followed by what sounds like a
violin sonata and then launches back into the original riff. I truly
lack the words to describe how cool this song sounds. It is so
beautifully different from anything else I have heard that I usually
play it two or three times in a row. And for fans of progressive
guitar sounds, track #3 "Frail Expectations" features an awesome
guitar solo in between gothic musings and synthesizer goodness. A lot
of people seem to complain about mixing genres of music and rightly
so, but Trail Of Tears got it right. This may not be for everyone but
definitely for lovers of diversity and originality. - Rick Berg
