-DRT Entertainment Signs Aphasia, Debut Album Out September 2005

** First Single and Video "Flatline" Directed by Chris Sims (Lamb of

NEW YORK, NY -- DRT Entertainment has signed Burlingame, CA's,
Aphasia. The band's debut album, titled FACT & FICTION, 11 searing
rock tracks produced by Trapt's Chris Brown, is slated for a September
2005 release. The video for the album's first single, the powerful
"Flatline," was directed by Chris Sims (Lamb Of God).

The four members of Aphasia, ranging in age from 19-21, studied music
from very young ages, meeting in junior high as a result of their
common bond in music. Their consistent practicing in lead singer Jeff
Harber's attic formed what has ultimately become the signature sound
of Aphasia; edgy alternative rock with lyrics deeply rooted in
metaphor, yet broad enough to create a connection with fans of all
ages.

In late 2003, the band made the collective life changing choice to
leave school and focus on music as a full time career. "We talked with
a lot of people when we were looking for a record company," said
Harber. "The folks at DRT were so passionate about our music and it
felt like the right place for us. We can't wait to get out there and
play our music and for people to hear our record."

The band has already been named one of XM Radio's "best of unsigned,"
and has over 150,000 downloads on their page at

DUKES OF HAZZARD - MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE, the soundtrack album
from the summer's most eagerly-awaited action comedy, on Tuesday, July
19.

"The Dukes Of Hazzard," a Warner Bros. Pictures/Village Roadshow
Pictures film, opens nationwide on Friday, August 5.

Highlights of the film's soundtrack include new recordings by two of
the film's stars, Jessica Simpson ("Daisy Duke") and Tin Pan
Alley/country music legend Willie Nelson ("Uncle Jesse"). Jessica
turns in a saucy new interpretation, produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry
Lewis, of the Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood kick-ass feminist anthem,
"These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," featuring Jimmy Jam on keyboards
and Willie Nelson on background vocals and guitar. Willie himself
wails through a new rendition of the "Dukes Of Hazzard" theme song,
Waylon Jennings' "Good Ol' Boys," produced by James Stroud.

A rollicking cross-section of American Southern and classic rock
music, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD - MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE compiles
definitive tracks by the Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan and
Double Trouble, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Charlie Daniels Band, Molly
Hatchet, Montgomery Gentry, Ram Jam, Southern Culture On The Skids,
The Blueskins, Blues Explosion, and The James Gang. Bookending the
soundtrack album are two ribald riddles told by Willie Nelson (as
"Uncle Jesse"). The renowned musical tastemaker Nic Harcourt (host of
"Morning Becomes Eclectic") served as music supervisor for the film.

"The Dukes Of Hazzard" is an action comedy inspired by the hit
television series that ran from 1979-1985. Directed by Jay
Chandrasekhar ("Club Dread, Super Troopers"), "The Dukes Of Hazzard"
stars Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott, Jessica Simpson, Burt
Reynolds and Joe Don Baker with Lynda Carter and Willie Nelson.

Set in the present day, "The Dukes of Hazzard" follows the adventures
of two "good ol' boy" cousins -- Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke
(Johnny Knoxville) Duke -- who with the help of their eye-catching
cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and moonshine-running Uncle Jesse
(Willie Nelson), try and save the family farm from being destroyed by
Hazzard County's corrupt commissioner Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds). Their
efforts constantly find the "Duke Boys" eluding authorities in "The
General Lee," their famed 1969 orange Dodge Charger that keeps them
one step ahead of the dimwitted antics of the small southern town's
Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey).

U.S. headlining tour dates. The band will hit the road June 22 in
support of their new album THE GREAT DEPRESSION (produced by Lasse

Blindside's first two albums, their self-titled debut and A THOUGHT
CRUSHED MY MIND, were re-issued May 10 and have been digitally
remastered. Both contain four additional bonus tracks and special new
artwork designed by lead singer Christian Lindskog.

BLINDSIDE (1997), features original demos of "Superman," "Liberty,"
"Forgiven" and "Stolen," previously only available as a limited
edition released only in Stockholm in 1996. A THOUGHT CRUSHED MY MIND,
originally released in 2000, includes two songs only available on 7"
vinyl, "Knocking On Another Door," and "All You Need Is," as well as
the never before released tracks "Desert Flower" and "Sunrise."

TEN YEARS RUNNING BLIND, the band's premier DVD, will be available

band's 10-year run. Also included is a 40 minute documentary with

Blindside formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1994 and have done extensive

-Japanese Horror Punks Balzac Return With New Release On Misfits
Records

NEW YORK -- Japanese horror punks Balzac return with their second
North American release, OUT OF THE GRAVE AND INTO THE DARK, via
Misfits Records/Rykodisc.

OUT OF THE GRAVE AND INTO THE DARK is a double CD/DVD package
combining two brand new full-length Balzac CDs, CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE
and DARK-ISM, and one bonus track, for a total of 22 songs on the
80-minute CD. The limited edition 60-minute bonus DVD features three
music videos, five live performance videos, five bonus audio tracks,
and a short horror film by Balzac.

"The dynamics of this double disc set from Balzac reinforces the fact
that not even the grave cannot contain the power of this band!" said
Misfits founding member Jerry Only. "A rip-your-face-off record.
Melodic, yet monstrously abrasive."

Formed in 1992 in Osaka, Japan, Balzac quickly gained notoriety for
their similarities to the legendary Misfits, both in musical style and
image. As time went on, Balzac grew into their own while still
retaining the ghastly image made famous by their American
counterparts. "I am strongly influenced by the Misfits," said vocalist
Hirosuke. "It is quite natural to be influenced by a band you like, to
digest it in your own way, and to turn it into something new."

"I think Balzac is the most cutting-edge new horror-punk band out
there today," said Only. "The fact that they come from the other side
of the world just adds to their originality."

Balzac released several records and toured Japan nationally before
hooking up with the Misfits as opening act on a Japanese tour, which
would lead to Balzac's introduction to North America. In the late
1990s, Misfits Records' John Cafiero first saw Balzac on a live video
from Japan. Impressed with the strength of the band's songs,
performance, and musicianship, in 2002 Cafiero worked out a
collaboration between the two bands on a split CD, DAY THE EARTH
CAUGHT FIRE, on which the two bands covered each others' songs. The
split CD was the first Misfits Records release. With the help of the
Misfits, Balzac made it over to the U.S. for the first time for a
Halloween performance in New York City that year.

The band's first full-length North American release came in the form
of BEYOND THE DARKNESS in 2003, followed by a slot on the Fiend Fest
Tour, which traveled nationwide throughout the United States and
featured some of the top names in past and present punk rock.

The band's popularity and dedicated cult following in Japan prompted a
limited production of 2,000 12-inch figures by Medicom Toy Company in
2000. The previous year, the band started their own Balzac Fiendish
Club, where members could obtain collectible merchandise, and the band
also operates a store called Shocker in Osaka that acts a as a Balzac
merchandise shop.

-Penetrator Welcomes Drummer Ogie Dawg To Penetrator's Drum Throne

Recently coming off tour with Buddy Guy's Legends, Ogie Dawg steps
back into his metal roots. Influenced by a lifetime of heros, Tommy
Aldridge, Neil Peart, Joey Krammer and John Bohnam, Ogie is a true
hard hitter from Toronto.

Original drummer, Simon Vanderzand, who recorded Penetrator's demo
UNLEASH THE FURY in his studio, The Sound Lounge, departed from the
band to pursue his passion in the pop-punk genre.

In April 2005, Ogie entered Penetrator's realm of insane song writing,
learning 23 songs and writing 3 new ones with the band...so far...

Ogie's first show with the band will be on Tuesday, July 12 in Toronto
opening for fellow power metal band Metal Church at The Reverb, 651
Queen Street West.

Penetrator also plays the Aggression Session in St. Catherines,
Ontario at L3, 6 James Street on August 13 and Thunder Bay, Ontario's
War On The Shore 2005 on August 27.

Penetrator's video "The Adulteress." The Museum of Contemporary

-Mad Dragzter Preparing Second Album

Mad Dragzter has just finished the pre-production of their second
album, KILLING THE DEVIL INSIDE, which will be released towards the
end of the year. The recordings will start in July, at Via Musique
studio. The album will be produced by Thiago Bianchi and it's expected
to be out in November.

The band yet reveals that they intend to shoot the recordings'
sessions and all unforeseen facts which occurred behind the scenes by
the studio's period of time, to be included in a DVD that will be
released along with the new album and one more time they promise to
revolutionize with a great production and a devastating Brazilian
Thrash Metal album.

Mad Dragzter will perform on the closure of the fifth edition of the
festival "Brasil Metal Union (BMU 2005)", next July 9, at Directv
Music Hall, in São Paulo (BR), where they will play the tracks of the
debut album STRONG MIND (2003), reissued by Hellion Records recently,
with the multimedia track and video of the song "Break Down" as a
bonus track, and also some unreleased tracks from the album KILLING

Fear Factory has announced that it will release its newest album
TRANSGRESSION on August 23rd through Calvin Records, an imprint of
Liquid 8 Records that was created specifically for the band and
upcoming metal acts.

A much-anticipated follow up to ARCHETYPE, which received critical
acclaim in 2004 when it sold over 125,000 copies nationwide,
TRANSGRESSION is already being hailed as one of the band's most
explorative works to date, displaying a more mature and experimental
sound.

"This release is very precise and heavy," said drummer Raymond
Herrera. "This album is reminiscent of OBSOLETE, in that it is has a
big, cinematic sound to it."

This sound, which can be partially attributed to producer Toby
Wright's (Alice In Chains, Korn, Metallica) influence, embodies the
distinctive combination of Herrera's machine-like drumming and
vocalist Burton C. Bell's trademark bipolar vocal style. Guitarist
Christian Olde Wolbers and bassist Byron Stroud round out the group's
sound with bludgeoning assaults as the band's usual backing keyboards
add a surreal atmosphere to the 12 songs.

"Toby is a really big fan," says Herrera. "It's not like we're
bringing in a heavy hitter just for the sake of doing it. He
understands what the band is about." Bell seconds that opinion: "We
are all very, very excited about the collaboration with Toby."

A truly notable feature of TRANSGRESSION is the presence of an
impressive guest musician: former Faith No More bassist Billy Gould,
who contributed his talents to "Echo of My Scream" and "Super Nova."

"Billy brings a different vibe to the music, the way his bass lines
move around the beat and drive the songs with a unique element," said
Bell.

Other big plans for Fear Factory in the summer of 2005 include their
participation on the main stage of Gigantour. The band was hand picked
by Dave Mustaine, the mastermind behind speed metal legends Megadeth,
who will be co-headlining the tour. Also featuring Dream Theater, The
Dillinger Escape Plan and Nevermore on the main stage and Life Of
Agony, Symphony X, Dry Kill Logic and Bobaflex on the second stage,
Gigantour promises to be one of the most impactful tours of the
summer.

EXPERIENCE to the front cover depicting Stoney Curtis caught live in

The Stoney Curtis Band has been working the clubs between Los Angeles
and Las Vegas for five years honing their own brand of psychedelic
blues rock, readying their show for the road ahead. Heavily steeped in
'60s/'70s psychedelia, the Stoney Curtis Band has translated the
energy of their phenomenal live show into the grooves of ACID BLUES

In the tradition of classic blues-rock power-trios such as the Jimi
Hendrix Experience, Cream, and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble,
the Stoney Curtis band are centered around their lead singer/lead
guitarist Stoney Curtis who is, without a doubt, one of the most
impressive Strat players on the circuit today. "I was going for the
power of Zeppelin, the psycadelia of Cream and the Experience, the
flow of Robin Trower Band," explains Curtis. "We combined it all
together with band-mates Charlie (drummer) and Colby (bass) to make it
all The Stoney Curtis Band."

Their signature song "Last Train To Chicago" has a groove is to make
you feel like you're on the train, rolling through the mountains. "The
influence is Chicago Blues without being a basic 12 bar blues tune,"
states Curtis. "Everything we do has ass to it. I recorded it by using
both a Les Paul to get the thick rock sound and a Strat to get the
definition." "Last Train To Chicago" has all the elements to make it a
blues rock standard for years to come.

"Crashing Like Thunder" is a straight 12-bar tune. "We wanted to have
a tune that shows we can do some solid 12 bar material also." Curtis
continues, "Without being cliche' with our playing. I wanted the
guitar to sound like I was sitting in the living room with you. The
sound is very raw and defined, yet sloppy. The influence for me on
this song was Hendrix doing 'Red House' at Woodstock."

It is no wonder why rows and rows of Harleys line up in Vegas to see
this aggressive trio whip the crowd into a frenzy with their own brand
of psychedelic blues rock, fueled by Stoney's non-stop guitar
pyrotechnics. "My music is soup in a crock pot of all these memories

Statetrooper have announced the release of their latest album, THE
CALLING, on downloads via their web site.

The band are using a new, legal P2P file sharing system called Weed to
allow internet sales of the album. In essence the way the system works
is that fans can download the track from the website (
http://www.statetrooper.co.uk/ ) and then are able to listen to the
track three times before it deciding to buy. If the buyer sends their
purchased file to someone else, who then buys the track, the person
who originally sent it to them will receive a commission on the sale.
And so on ... every time someone sends a track to a friend, and the
friend buys it, they receive commission! Weed is even giving new users
to the system a start up voucher for $5! Fans can burn the album onto
CD as well as give the whole album as a data CD rather than copy
illegally.

-This is cute. A couple years ago, out of the blue I was sent a promo
copy of Ra's album FROM ONE (Republic/Universal, 2002). I looked at
the band photos (bald guys! dreadlocks!! eek!!!) and hastily tagged
the guys as nu-metal, but after actually listening to the disc I
realized they played a cool hybrid of old and "nu." There's some great
melody and energy on the disc, and singer Sahaj Ticotin stood out as
having a killer voice, sorta like a heavier version of Sting. So
anyway, fast-forward to the present day when I saw in the Best Buy ad
a couple weeks ago Ra's new album DUALITY came out on June 21. So why
is this all so cute? Well, I think FROM ONE was the band's debut, and
it had "one" in the title, so har-dee-har for that. And now album #2
is called DUALITY. I sense a theme here. Plus, Ra is the ancient
Egyptian god of the sun, right? And up here in the good ol' northern
hemisphere, summer began on June 21 -- a good time for the Sun God to
make an appeance, no? I tell ya, it's all marketing these days. :) (By
the way, in case you care I gave FROM ONE an "A-/B+" back in March of
'03.) (By the way #2: Trixter/40ft. Ringo bassist P.J. Farley is now
in the group!!!) (By the way #3: DUALITY was on sale at said Best Buy
for a mere $6.99 in its first week. This kind of pricing needs to
happen more!!!)

I must confess that when this CD first arrived in my mailbox, I
immediately wondered, "Jeez, what kind of crap is Tim sending me now?"
I chuckled at the nonsensical band name (voice of Comic Book Guy:
"Worst...name... EVER") and the God-awful album cover (a photo of a
denim and leather dude triumphantly holding his axe aloft in both
hands...woo hoo, rokk ON, brutha!), then prepared for the worst as I
slipped it into my player. However, the old adage "Don't judge a book
by its cover" came to mind after the first spin, because this album
turned out to be a fairly pleasant surprise in spite of the cheesy
coating. Philly-based Slik Helvetika is the brainchild of
guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Mikhall Myers (wasn't he the killer in
the Russian version of "Halloween?" Heh heh!), and it resembles a
grimy mixture of TOO FAST FOR LOVE-era Motley Crue and CREATURES OF
THE NIGHT-era Kiss with a few pinches of Accept, W.A.S.P. and Armored
Saint thrown over the top. The less-than-crisp production job (also by
Myers) furthers the old-school vibe. Tim could've told me that this
was a reissue of an album from 1984 and I would've believed him
without question! Slik Helvetika (or "The Slik" to their friends)
finds a balance between chugging early '80s style metal anthems and
heavy-handed cock-rock; the snarling opener "War Machine" and the
shrill hair-band throwback "Scream" (tracks #2 and #3, respectively)
do a nice job of showing both sides of the band in a nutshell.
Headbangers will get off on the aggressive "Swine," "Ride," and "Where
Blood Spills," while the hard rock crowd will dig the radio-friendly
(I'm talking about late '80s radio, mind you) "High On You," the
sleazy-as-hell (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) "She
Kills" and the acoustic ballad "September," which sits at the album's
midway point and provides a nice break from the crunch. Slik Helvetika
is obviously not out to re-invent the musical wheel and they certainly
won't win any originality points with this release, but that probably
wasn't the intention anyway. They just wanted to take us all back to
the good ol' loud, raunchy metal sound of the '80s, and on that front
