(drums) left Electric Wizard and joined forces with Adam Richardson
(bass / vocals), to form a more experimental, devastating and horrific
form of free heavy doom rock.

-L.A. Guns: New Release TALES FROM THE STRIP On Shrapnel Records

HOLLYWOOD -- In January 2005 L.A. Guns headed to the studio with
producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones) and began work
on TALES FROM THE STRIP.

TALES FROM THE STRIP is a reference to the band's longtime affiliation
with L.A.'s legendary rock scene, whose hub is the renowned Sunset
Strip. The album's lyrical focus is inspired by a historically
significant rock scene that L.A. Guns had a strong hand in creating.
With producer Andy Johns at the helm, L.A. Guns delivers a new studio
record of original songs that proves, without a doubt, that L.A. Guns
is still on top of their game.

The 2005 summer release is planned to hit the stores August 16th. The

MEDFORD, Ore. -- Scott Kelly -- a founding member of psychedelic
hardcore band Neurosis -- and Christopher Moeschl together have
founded and launched Combatmusicradio.com, a new website born of a
passion for heavy music and blood sports.

The first offering from Combatmusicradio.com (KMBT) is a weekly
pre-recorded radio show called "The Show," hosted by Kelly, focusing
on past and present underground metal, punk, and noise, and news and
interviews pertaining to blood sports. "The Show," in addition to
streaming, is available as a weekly podcast. The site also features
written columns about music and blood sports.

"The goal of combatmusicradio.com is to create a platform where we can
bring these two worlds together," said Kelly.

A Reviews column deals exclusively with music-related items such as
record reviews and live reviews, while the Blood Sports section offers
news and reviews of events and athletes. Eugene Robinson, a practicing
fighter who has been involved in the fight game for a number of years
and has previously written for "Grappling" magazine pens the Damage
Ink monthly column, focusing on NHB, mixed martial arts, and street

The band was formed in autumn 2001 and by the autumn of 2002 had
recorded its debut demo. It was a kind of doom/death metal. However,
in Aug./Sept. 2003 the band released a 5-song EP called CHAOS THEORY
-- formally based on heavy metal riffs & melodies. In its current
state Yuggoth has prepared new material -- more funky, more
aggressive, more powerful and much more qualitative -- on the SUNSETS
EP (2005). It contains pure metal tracks and experiments with some
thrash/alternative/funk elements.

Free). The result of this incredible union, RUNAWAY BRIDES, is a
staggering collection of street lethal rock and roll, imbued with both
the classic rock & roll spirit and the edge of modern youth.

In the tradition of Brides Of Destruction, the music continues to be
stripped down and raw with dark, melodic lyrics. The music is utterly
electrifying in the realms of Black Sabbath, The Sex Pistols and early
Kiss.

The first single "White Trash" is exactly what it sounds like. "The
pot calls the kettle black ..money can't buy class ...but in L.A. it's
all for free all you need is a casting couch, a bloody scalpel and a
sugar daddy," recites LeGrande. It pays homage to all the
trailer-park-style culture and the people that try to leave them. From

-Toronto Band Mastery Not On Gigantour -- Breaking News

Toronto area band Mastery has been caught-up in a controversy of their
own lately.

After announcing on their website and to their friends and fans over a
month ago that Toronto Thrash band Mastery would be playing with
Megadeth on the Gigantour on August 13th, Mastery was issued a legal
notice by Gigantour this past Monday ordering them to stop any such
promotion. It appears the band not only was not on the Tour or playing
with Megadeth but they never even applied to do so!! What added even
more to their problems was the announcement that they were selling "a
limited number of tickets" to their fans and that they could be
purchased from the band. This as it turns out was also unauthorized.
According to confidential communications between a Toronto fan and the
Gigantour recently released to the press today, the text clearly shows
a copy of the Mastery website main page with the announcements, and
spokespeople (no less than 2) from Gigantour in later messages
proclaiming that Mastery was NEVER on the tour and that the band would
be ordered to stop. As of this writing the Mastery website (
http://www.masterymetal.com/ ) is off-line. Fans should contact the
band (or the Police as a last resort) to get refunds on their tickets.

"You know it's a shame when in the music industry we no longer know
who the good guys are: once upon a time the black hats were the
industry and the white hats were the musicians and now everyone is
playing everyone else," says the fan who uncovered the story and has
asked to keep his name silent.

This "scandal" is one of many that have plagued this band as of late
for only the week before at a show at Toronto's Reverb club Mastery
failed to show to play with Penetrator and Metal Church by calling
literally five minutes before and saying they weren't coming. Although
Metal Church had subsequently cancelled also on the Girls Do It Better
sponsored event, Mastery had done this in the past and gave no reason
for this cancellation either, leaving Penetrator to complete the show
alone. Penetrator apparently put on an excellent performance all the
same.

Mastery has released only a single 4-track EP with another in the
works and have been plagued by a lack of singers (essentially they are
an instrumental band), not to mention bass players a position only
recently filled. Reports also show that the members of Megadeth have
found out about it but have made no comment. Mastery is scheduled to
play the Vatikan on the 30th of July next.

well-suited effects. Lotta and Erik successfully forego soprano vocals
and typical growls, completely dismissing the 'Beauty and the Beast'
image, and do so at no expense of the album's end result. On the
contrary, Beseech prove this well known formula to be unnecessary in
arousing the listener's deep emotions by presenting two clear voices,
which complement each other perfectly, instead of bracing for a fight.
SUNLESS DAYS provides for fast and striking tracks, as well as
touching ballads that simultaneously impart both hope and
hopelessness. Best described as 'sweet pain,' SUNLESS DAYS delivers
beautiful gothic rock targeted at those who do not feel the need to
bed down with the genre's commonplace."

-King Diamond is rumored to be compiling footage for both King Diamond
and Mercyful Fate retrospective DVDs. Both will contain

-F5's debut CD, A DRUG FOR ALL SEASONS, is out in Japan and will be

(ex-Megadeth) on bass and Dale Steele (ex-Sick Speed) singing, along

-MelodicRock.com reported Firefest 2 is slated for November 26 at

-HairballJohn.com has cool new interviews from a couple weeks ago with
Marc Ferrari (Keel, Cold Sweat, Medicine Wheel) and Ron Keel (Keel,
Iron Horse). Both talk about their various bands and other projects,
upcoming re-releases of Keel's LAY DOWN THE LAW (1984), THE RIGHT TO
ROCK (1985), THE FINAL FRONTIER (1986), and KEEL (1987), and a
possible full-on Keel reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the
release of THE RIGHT TO ROCK.

-Perris Recording artist Midnight Circus will be headlining F.B.I.
Rock Club in Houston on July 23. A TV commercial for the show can be

-Siebenburgen's DARKER DESIGNS & IMAGES is due out September 29

-Paul Stanley is tentatively planning on touring this year once his
new solo album is released. No touring band has been announced at this
time.

-Yeah, so, last week I was going on and on about "Rock Star: INXS" on
CBS. I'm still watching but I'm getting more and more tweaked at
seemingly everyone on the show throwing the devil horns ALL THE TIME.
People, please. The horns are a sacred part of heavy metal lore. You
do not throw them after covering "Roxanne" by The Police. Geez...
