-Guitar Virtuoso Luca Turilli Presents THE INFINITE WONDERS OF
CREATION

Available In The USA June 6th

Best known as lead guitarist, co-composer and co-founder of symphonic
film-score metal flag bearers Rhapsody, Luca Turilli is an experienced
and accomplished musician. With his third solo album entitled THE
INFINITE WONDERS OF CREATION, Turilli ends his epic trilogy. The
trilogy began in the 1999 with KING OF THE NORDIC TWILIGHT, followed
by PROPHET OF THE LAST ECLIPSE, both of which commanded impressive
chart positions in Germany, as well as other countries around the
world.

While the first album was lyrically and musically inspired by a
fantasy tale created by Luca, the second album represented an
evolution for Luca's "typical" sound. Lyrically, the album was
influenced by one of his favorite science-fiction movies: "Event
Horizon," directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

In order to turn the mystic atmosphere of the cosmic landscapes into
music, Luca started incorporating some unique and experimental
elements to his music, with an array of futuristic and electronic
sounds.

After exploring and exhausting the topics of the past and the future,
Luca's vision led him to create a musical representation of the
present in order to complete the trilogy. With THE INFINITE WONDERS OF
CREATION, Turilli composed a symphony dedicated to Mother Nature; a
topic that has inspired and invigorated him musically and
philosophically. Immediately capturing the imagination of the listener
with atmospheric sounds and continuing to draw them in with operatic
female vocals and symphonic instrumentation, it becomes immediately
clear that THE INFINITE WONDERS OF CREATION is an intimate and
abstract album covering a wide range of themes: life, death, good,
evil, the cosmos and philosophy. Songs like "Mother Nature" and
"Altitudes" display the dual elegance and power of Turilli's
compositions.

THE INFINITE WONDERS OF CREATION marks the debut of Luca's dual
musical talents: as a guitar virtuoso and also as a prodigious
keyboardist. Turilli is joined by the same band members who performed
on the two previous albums: vocalist Olaf Hayer, bassist Sascha Paeth
and drummer Robert Hunecke-Rizzo and guest vocalist Bridget Fogle.

THE INFINITE WONDERS OF CREATION presents the logical extension of
Luca's well known musical attributes, both musically and lyrically; a
voyage into the inner workings of artist, thinking man, and maestro.
This album both wraps up one chapter in Luca's career and points to
magnificent possibilities in his future.

Track Listing For THE INFINITE WONDERS OF CREATION:

1) Secrets Of Forgotten Ages
2) Mother Nature
3) Angels Of The Winter Dawn
4) Altitudes
5) The Miracle Of Life

-Luca Turilli's Dreamquest Presents LOST HORIZONS On June 27th

Guitar virtuoso Luca Turilli, best known for his work as lead
guitarist, co-composer and co-founder in film score metal band
Rhapsody, has presented us with his new band: Luca Turilli's
Dreamquest. Not wishing this to be viewed just as a side project, Luca
asserts that Dreamquest is an additional outlet for the abundance of
overflowing musical ideas of this prolific composer. Fear not Rhapsody
fans, Dreamquest, while an entirely separate band, will not interfere
with Rhapsody's progress. The debut album, LOST HORIZONS introduces a
new style and technique to Luca's already mighty repertoire, enriched
by modern elements: new metal, opera, techno-electronic music and
gothic-symphonic atmospheres.

LOST HORIZONS displays Luca's previously unknown ability to call forth
majestic tones from the keyboard. The unique sounds produced by Luca's
instrumentation bring forth musical landscapes and haunting melodies,
invoking images of sirens and nymphs. Luca's passion for the keyboard
is clear. Before founding Rhapsody with keyboardist Alex Staropoli,
Luca had studied piano. However, Rhapsody's immediate success had
encouraged Luca to focus his efforts on the guitar, an instrument that
he had already mastered. Three years ago, Luca felt inspired to return
to the keyboard, influenced by the melancholic melodies of great
artists such as Chopin and Alexander Scriabin. Luca Turilli's
Dreamquest gives Luca the opportunity to unleash the pianist inside of
him.

Luca Turilli's Dreamquest is the fulfillment of a dream that Luca has
had in mind for many years and he is looking forward to the
opportunity to perform Dreamquest material in a live forum as soon as
possible. The music on LOST HORIZONS combines powerful metal
instrumentation with angelic, operatic, female vocals to create a
sound that might best be described as "Symphonic Electro-Metal." The
first single "Virus," is a prime example of the majestic musical
flavor that Dreamquest is made of, while the operatic "Sospiro Divino"
showcases the boundless possibilities presented by this exciting new
band. Although favorable comparisons to popular acts are inevitable,
make no mistake: Luca Turilli's Dreamquest is a fresh and unique
experience.

Track Listing For Luca Turilli's Dreamquest - LOST HORIZONS:

1) Introspection
2) Virus
3) Dreamquest
4) Black Rose
5) Lost Horizon
6) Sospiro Divino
7) Shades Of Eternity
8) Energy
9) Frozen Star
10) Too Late
11) Dolphin's Heart
12) Gothic Vision

Description

For over a full decade Black Sabbath had dominated Heavy Metal. As
much as Led Zeppelin scorned the term Black Sabbath embraced it. In an
age of bona fide supergroups Sabbath were unquestionably the heaviest
thing stalking the planet and quite remarkably had remained a solid
unit where others around them suffered ongoing membership fall outs
and lineup reincarnations. Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne
and Bill Ward had weathered internal storms just as ferocious as every
other band out on the circuit but had remained resolute. They had
conquered the globe, sold close to 50 million albums and without
concession had not pulled back one iota from delivering absolute, pure
Heavy Metal. In 1977 the unthinkable happened. Ozzy Osbourne decamped.
He would be lured back for one last album NEVER SAY DIE before flying
solo, rapidly building a band unit that would equal the repute of the
mothership.

Between 1979 and 1997 Tony Iommi and Ozzy Osbourne were pitched
against each other in a titanic struggle unprecedented in Rock 'n'
Roll. Both stars would employ the very finest players of the genre in
the conflict and produce some of the finest Heavy Metal of the
generation in the process. Tony Iommi, the man who without question
invented Heavy Metal, fronted up Sabbath with vocal legends such as
Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes and Tony Martin against
Ozzy's awesome arsenal of guitar innovators Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee
and Zakk Wylde. Both Tony Iommi and Ozzy Osbourne reinvented their
bands time and time again. The huge array of elite players that
travelled through the ranks is now a constant source of fascination
and rumours for Sabbath fanatics.

"Sabbath Bloody Sabbath: The Battle For Black Sabbath" reforges the
author's two previous landmark tomes "Ozzy Osbourne: The Story Of The
Ozzy Osbourne Band" & "Black Sabbath: Never Say Die!" along with
additional material into this one definitive Metal milestone. Complete
with over 100 photographs, many never seen before, and unique
interviews, including with the late Ray Gillen and Cozy Powell as well
as the highly controversial figure of Jeff Fenholt and mysterious Dave
Donato, "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is the definitive account of those
years (1979 to 1997) before the reunion.

Additional details: 10 page discography appendix detailing 264 career
albums and singles from Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Bill Ward,
Geezer and Tony Iommi; plus 8 page index with 694 entries.

Comments From People Involved In The Story

"Garry's book is the most comprehensive Sabbath history -- Well done!"
Tony Martin.

"It was great to read a book with so much information about those
years in Black Sabbath and good to read other peoples perception of
things that happened. Inquiring minds want to know!" Geoff Nicholls.

"Garry has really been able to compile the most informative and
accurate record of these two mega-bands, including the sometimes much
misinformed history of the various members over the years. He has gone
to great lengths to track down these legendary musicians and provide
them with a comfortable forum for the telling of the little known
tales and details, never documented but only ever told by word of
mouth." Phil Soussan.

"This is the only book that goes into all the behind the scenes detail
that Black Sabbath and Ozzy fans have been waiting for so long. It's
nice to see Garry concentrated on historical truth in telling the
story as well as writing an exciting, dramatic and funny story about
two of Rock's greatest bands." Bob Daisley.

"It's too easy to ignore or conveniently forget the true history of
Black Sabbath in favour of the myths, so I'm glad that Garry Sharpe–
Young has delved into the less well-known periods of Sabbath's
existence, which produced some great music and many interesting
stories." Neil Murray

Quotes From earlier Reviews

"I cannot say this strong enough. If you are a fan of Black Sabbath
... you owe it to yourself to check out this book. ... It's an awesome

-Northwest Death Fest 2006 Complete Lineup Announced

SEATTLE -- Headliners of the 3rd Annual Northwest Death Fest 2006,
Obituary and Sadus, will be joined by 27 death metal bands on Sunday,
May 28, at Fenix Underground in Seattle.

California bands Deeds Of Flesh and Severed Savior will co-headline
the second stage. The support bands, hailing from Seattle as well as
the Pacific Northwest, were handpicked by promoter and owner of
Howitzer Productions, Frank Hetzel.

Seattle locals In Memorium have the prestigious main stage slot before
Sadus. In Memorium's debut recording FROM MISERY COME DARKNESS has
been hailed as a black metal masterpiece by many journalists in the
metal community.

"Last years' Northwest Death Fest was amazing," said In Memorium
guitarist M. Krutsinger. "Horns up to Franko of Howitzer Productions
for making it the smoothest running fest I've ever been to. All of the
bands stuck to their time slots. It is just one of the many reasons we
have decided to play the festival this year. In Memorium will hit the
stage full force and hopefully have a hand at bringing the festival to
the next level."

Scorched Earth, another Seattle metal band, will play the festival for
the first time this year.

"It's an honor to be playing the Northwest Death Fest," said
guitarist/vocalist Terry Mcorriston. "I've been to the past two as a
fan, but this is the first year that Scorched Earth will be playing
it. We rarely play locally, so this will be a good showcase for our
live warfare. This year's fest is going to annihilate for sure."

Sadus are returning to the festival for the second year in a row. The
legendary Bay Area Thrash band is currently touring Europe in support
of their latest album OUT FOR BLOOD, released on Mascot Records.

"We are pumped for the chance to play up in Seattle again, said
bassist Steve DiGiorgio. "The new Sadus album is full of blood and
rage, and we expect nothing less from the insaniacs up in the
Northwest. The show last year was awesome and we are ready to come
back totally out for blood!!!"

The lineup for Northwest Death Fest 2006 is:

Main Stage:

Obituary
Sadus
In Memorium
Try Redemption
Wake The Dead
Fallen Angels
Mummification
Zuckuss
Scorched Earth
Unsanctified
Embryonic Devourment
The New Plague
Necrobiosis
Disharmony
Embalmed

Second Stage:

Deeds Of Flesh
Severed Savior
Vulgarizer
Shitstorm
Bung
Ceremonial Castings
Beltfed Weapon
Meatshits
Desolation
Non-existence
Passive Aggressive
Damage Overdose
Near Life
Doom Lit Sky

The Fenix Underground is located at 109 S. Washington St. in Seattle,
Washington. Tickets are available through Nothwestdeathfest.com, the
Fenix box office and Ticketmaster. Prices: $25.00 advance, $30.00 day
of show. Doors open at 10:00 a.m., show starts at 11:00 a.m. This is

-Vox Tempus Ink Deal

Z Records are very proud to announce the signing of Vox Tempus. The
band's amazing debut IN THE EYE OF TIME will be released in Europe
during late May 05.

Eric Ragno made the following statement after signing with Z....

"Vox Tempus is excited to be joining the illustrious Z Records family.
So many great acts have come from this amazing label which Mark Alger
has worked so hard to build. The label's recent resurgence has assured
us a solid legacy for the future, introducing us to new friends in
markets we never got to reach! A special thanks to everyone in the Z
family and to our new fans, welcome!"

The members of Vox Tempus first came together in January of 1997, as
members of the progressive rock band Equinox. The band was in the
midst of promoting their successful worldwide debut, COLOUR OF THE
TIME, which had reached the top 20 in Europe and Japan, and received
airplay in over 40 countries. During recording sessions for a follow-
up release, the lineup splintered and Ray Mantor (guitars) and Jim
Turba (bass) continued writing songs with their drummer as a trio. For
the time being, the band continued on as Equinox.

In 1998 the band was introduced to Eric Ragno, a keyboard player in
Los Angeles. Eric has played with many of hard rock's musical legends,
and was finishing up an album with Takara when he heard that the band
was searching for a keyboard player for their upcoming album. Eric's
musical contributions served to solidify the band's new sound.

As the songs were written and recorded for the new album, the band
went through several vocalists. After going through over a hundred
submissions from throughout North America, the group finally settled
on Dan Reed. His voice is coloured with many different influences --
though he truly has a unique sound that's all his own.

As mixing began on the new album, the drummer chose to move on. With
this latest change in personnel and a more guitar-oriented approach to
their music, the band changed their name to Vox Tempus. The legendary
Gregg Bissonette was brought in to record new drum tracks, and a title
was chosen -- IN THE EYE OF TIME. The album features Ray Mantor
(guitar), Jim Turba (bass), Eric Ragno (keyboards), Dan Reed (vocals),
and special guest Gregg Bissonette (drums).

Sound samples will be online shortly at http://www.zrecords.net/ .

-Bludgeon Let Off Some Steam With WORLD CONTROLLED

Available Through Magic Circle Music On June 27th

Bludgeon is a unique metal entity from Chicago that is not afraid to
cause mayhem. The first band signed to Magic Circle Music, Bludgeon
takes extreme metal by the balls and doesn't let go. Their sophomore
album, WORLD CONTROLLED is a brutal assault on the senses that is sure
to leave a lasting impression on fans of death, thrash, hardcore and
speed metal.

Bludgeon has earned several distinctions in their relatively young
career. When Manowar bassist and Magic Circle Music founder Joey
DeMaio discovered the band, he agreed to produce their debut album,
CRUCIFY THE PRIEST -- an honor never before bestowed upon a band other
than his own -- and signed them to his label. DeMaio then introduced
the band to Metal Blade Records CEO Brian Slagel, who recognized that
the band had immense potential and agreed to distribute their debut
album worldwide. Such signs of confidence from metal elite speak
volumes about Bludgeon.

The Bludgeon beast is no stranger to touring. Having performed at the
Metal Meltdown III in Asbury Park, NJ and as support act to the
legendary Manowar on the Warriors Of The World Tour 2002, Bludgeon is
a band that has spread the crusade of metal.

On the new album, WORLD CONTROLLED, Bludgeon further evolves the sound
and attitude that helped them to make such an impressive start. By
incorporating hardcore influences into their already powerful death/
thrash metal sound, the band has reached a new level of anger and
brutality. Vocalist/guitarist Marc Duca explains, "I always write what
I feel; half the record was written when I was going through pain and
suffering. But I don't see that as a bad thing." Songs like "Carnage
Begins" and "Consumed By Anger" illustrate the thoughts and feelings
of a band that faces the challenges of everyday life with the
aggression and persistence needed to come out on top. "You have to
suffer to move forward. It's like you have to prove how faithful you
are."

-John-5 – Founding Member Of Loser Leaves Band And Island Records

HOLLYWOOD -- Island Records made the decision to drop the band Loser
when founding member John 5 decided to leave Loser and maintain his
position as the guitarist for Rob Zombie. "Being the founding member
of Loser, my decision to leave was not an easy one," states John 5.
"I've been juggling two careers both with Loser and Rob Zombie for
over 1 year now. I found it impossible to be in two places at once."

With the success of Rob Zombie's 2006 tour and the additional dates
added, this had made it impossible for John 5 to promote Loser
accordingly. In discussions, John 5 had wanted to bring in a
replacement guitarist for Loser's live shows. Island Records was in
opposition to the suggestion as that is not "what they had signed on
for." In that regard, Island Records chose to drop the act with the
absence of John 5. "I understand the decision from the label but feel
it could have worked out for everyone involved. I wish Joe, Glen and
Charles all the success they deserve, they are amazing guys and
deserve their shot."

At the current time there is no word on if the album will be released.

Plus, the online music resources get a shot at making some money,
too." In the price structure of the sale, the music resource gets $3,
MusicSUBMIT receives a transaction fee of $1 and the artist gets the
rest. "This also gives the radio station an incentive to open artist
submissions -- there might be a potential moneymaker in their email.
Everyone benefits from the deal," says Corcoran, a die-hard
independent music supporter, with confidence.

MusicSUBMIT was founded in January, 2003, by company president Trevor
Lyman. A musician himself, Lyman spent endless hours researching
potential outlets for his music and realized that there was a world
full of musicians scouring the Internet doing the exact same thing --
duplicating each others work over and over again. "I created
MusicSUBMIT to help musicians get back to doing what they love to do
most... create their music!" explains Lyman. "After all, no one ever
picked up a guitar, or sat down at a piano or banged out a kickin'
drum beat with the hopes and aspirations of one day being able to
spend 40 hours a week promoting themselves on the Internet."

Three years later, MusicSUBMIT has helped over 3,000 independent
artists connect with over 6,000 Internet music resources all over the
world.

-John 5 - Rob Zombie's New Guitar Speed Demon On The EDUCATED HORSES
Tour

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- John 5 has made a permanent home with Rob Zombie as
his lead-guitar Speed Demon. It all started when John 5 and Zombie
came together last year at the Arrowhead Pond Arena for a benefit.
They played "Thunder Kiss 65" and Zombie knew John 5 was the right
shredder to complete his merry band of monsters. "I'm totally stoked
about this because this guy is a fucking shredder," explains Zombie.
"I played 'Thunder Kiss 65' with him at The Arrowhead Pond Arena for a
benefit last year and it never sounded so fucking good."

Fresh off the major success of his latest feature film, "The Devil's
Rejects," Rob Zombie is returning this spring to his first passion --
music -- playing it live and loud. Zombie has finished recording his
third solo studio CD, EDUCATED HORSES (Geffen Records).

Zombie is now on the last leg of the EDUCATED HORSES tour. The tour
started March 17th in Jacksonville, Florida and is crossing the United
States to conclude in Mesa, Arizona on April 27th. Joining Rob on this
tour will be guitarist John 5 (ex-Marilyn Manson), longtime bassist
Blasko and drummer Tommy Clufetos (ex-Alice Cooper & Ted Nugent).
Supporting act for the tour will be Goth metal band Lacuna Coil.

EDUCATED HORSES was produced by Zombie and long time producer Scott
Humphrey (Metallica, Motley Crue), who together also produced the
platinum hits HELLBILLY DELUXE and THE SINISTER URGE. Other musicians
contributing to the CD are Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Vandals) and
Tommy Lee. The album's debut single, the anthemic "Foxy Foxy," will
begin play on Modern Rock and Active Rock radio on February 13th.

-Lotsa rumors swirling again about Black Sabbath and Ronnie James Dio.
The final word comes from Dio's site, http://www.ronniejamesdio.com/ :

"Just to put the Black Sabbath reunion rumors to rest, here is the
inside scoop from Wendy Dio [Ronnie's wife/manager]: Ronnie was in the
UK to do promo for the new HOLY DIVER LIVE CD and while there, dropped
in on Tony Iommi to kick around some ideas for the forthcoming box
set, BLACK SABBATH: THE DIO YEARS. We had previously mentioned that
the two would be writing together as their respective schedules
permitted.

"There are NO plans for Ronnie to rejoin Black Sabbath, and in fact,
Dio is preparing for their European tour, which begins May 27 in
Roselare, Belgium."

Other sources indicate the forthcoming Sabbath box set will include
re-mastered versions of all Dio-era Sabbath albums (1980's HEAVEN AND
HELL, 1981's MOB RULES, 1982's LIVE EVIL, and 1992's DEHUMANIZER), and
possibly two new tracks written by Dio and Iommi. Black-Sabbath.com
then posted "personal speculation and some rumour" that the "new
material" could possibly be "new songs, or dustoffs of leftovers from
the DEHUMANIZER sessions." We shall see. Dio's HOLY DIVER LIVE was
released this week in North America, and the band's next studio album
could be out as early as late this year.

-Buckcherry's 15 is either out now or due soon (how's that for

by Tim Wadzinski (tsw512@...)

-Believe you me, I'm as happy as the next guy that Crimson Glory
finally reunited and we have a deluge of material coming our way (see
Press Release # 10 above), but... Wassup with that TRANSCENDENCE:
RENOVATIO thingy, especially the bit about "featuring new cover art"?
Fellas, please don't wreck this. The TRANSCENDENCE album cover is one
of my all-time favorites. Back in college (circa 1990) I sat in on my
friends Pete and Arnie's radio show "The Metal Vortex." We pulled a
vinyl copy of TRANSCENDENCE off the shelf and played a track or two,
but I was just staring at the artwork and back cover. It's just so
damn cool. (I even went so far as to decipher the "hidden message"
spelled out by mystical runes.) While Arnie was busy playing songs and
I was transfixed by the artwork, Pete was off ransacking the rest of
the studio. He actually found a TRANSCENDENCE T-shirt stowed in some
desk drawer somewhere, and he nabbed it. Bastard. (But I'm not bitter,
16 years later.) He later told me he was wearing it at home and his
mom saw it. She read the words and tarot imagery on the back and asked
him something to the effect of, "Why do you have the names of demons
and evil spirits on the back of your shirt?" Man, that's good stuff.

So anyway... This album has held a special place in my metal heart for
a long time. I consider it to be one of the few perfect albums out
there, and the artwork is no small part of that equation. I am anxious
to see what band has planned for this new version.

CANVAS SOLARIS - PENUMBRA DIFFUSE (B) Sensory, 2006
7 tracks, RT: 48:42
I've been trying to get my head around Canvas Solaris' latest offering
PENUMBRA DIFFUSE, and like their last outing SUBLIMATION, it has taken
me awhile to absorb it all. Starting with the characteristically
chaotic math metal of "Panoramic Long-Range Vertigo," Canvas Solaris
take us on a journey of constantly changing textures, alternating
between the tumultuous, complex instrumentation of pieces like
"Accidents In Mutual Silence" and "To Fracture" with the ethereal
keyboard soundscapes, airy guitar chords and sensitive acoustic
moments of "Horizontal Radiant" and album closer "Luminescence." It
seems that this time the Georgia outfit has comfortably mixed in some
material that is a bit more accessible than on their previous
releases, and this has improved the "listenability" of the music
tremendously. Still, this is the kind of thing that you have to have
an ear for; it's not casual party metal or mindless thrash by any
stretch. Canvas Solaris are resolute in their determination to make
music for discerning fans of technical prog metal, but by expanding
the boundaries of their approach, they may just reach an audience that
previously might have dismissed them as impenetrable. Definitely their
best release so far, PENUMBRA DIFFUSE is sophisticated and
adventurous, inviting both those literate in this unusual style and
the inquisitive to experience their unique vision. - Neal Woodall

WATERCLIME - THE ASTRAL FACTOR (B+/B) Lion Music, 2006
8 tracks, RT: 43:22
Waterclime is the brainchild of Vintersong's cryptically named Mr. V,
a brilliant musician who handled all the instrumentation, vocals, and
production of debut album THE ASTRAL FACTOR himself, with just a small
bit of help from some guest musicians. Musically THE ASTRAL FACTOR is
an absorbing mix of traditional progressive rock with a strong
undercurrent of Scandinavian folk melodies. Mr. V really is a jack-of-
all-trades on this one, his unusual vocal style requiring a bit of
acclimation but ultimately satisfying, his musicianship adroit but
firmly in the service of the compositions, with an impressive variety
of instruments used in just the right places. THE ASTRAL FACTOR works
best when blending in accessible melodic themes, like on opener
"Mountains," the awesome title track and "Midnight Flyer." Proceedings
meander just a bit at times, especially on the somewhat homogeneous
"Scarytale," but overall the album presents a captivating amalgam of
ideas, certainly one of the better prog oriented discs Lion has
released. Recommended for prog fans in the mood for something
substantial but uncomplicated... - Neal Woodall (MysticX9@...)
