-One Dead Three Wounded To Release MOVING UNITS On 1x1 Music, July
18th, 2006

On July 18th, 2006, One Dead Three Wounded will release MOVING UNITS,
their sophomore effort on New Jersey-based 1x1 Music. "We spent more
time on this record... a year...it makes for a better record," says
vocalist Tim Zahodski. "It's more aggressive, pissed off, cynical...
and it's better written." Continuing in the band's unique style,
MOVING UNITS is a metal/hardcore fan's fantasy album: the bastard
child of Southern grooves and sledgehammer breakdowns.

"MOVING UNITS is our reaction to the insincerity of the business side
of music. We've never been in a position where that mattered. It's a
record that really questions our ethics and our place as apart of the
industry. It also serves as a reminder for our future selves to not
get sucked into it all. I want it to remind us what motivated us to
play music to begin with: five kids in a van, in a basement, or a hall
sharing something."

One Dead Three Wounded tours constantly and presents a crushing live
performance. "That's what the song 'Pretty Faces, Shitty Places' is
about. We play in some of the worst parts of town whenever we go on
tour, but it's great to see all of these kids come out just to see
us." The band immediately gets the crowd moving, and it's not uncommon
for kids to rush the stage in an attempt to share vocal duties with
Zahodski, especially in Philadelphia. "The fans react really well. You
cannot recreate the feelings of a live hometown show."

A track listing for MOVING UNITS comprises:

1) Planning Obsolescence
2) Black Holes
3) Moving Units
4) Soldiers
5) Cold War
6) Cardia
7) Pretty Faces, Shitty Places
8) We're Broke Til Payday
9) Compassionate Assassins
10) Bad Business

-Notorious Hollywood Band "Peppermint Creeps" To Embark On A Summer
Club Tour!

Glam / Punk stalwarts to perform material from past 3 studio releases,
and former bands.

LOS ANGELES -- Hollywood's best kept secret the "Peppermint Creeps"
will be on tour this summer supporting their latest release, WE R' THE
WEIRDOZ, which also coincides with the 9th anniversary of the band.
The band is most recently known for being selected as one of Five
finalists in music channel Fuse TV's worldwide unsigned band Video
Contest for their comical song and video entitled "Lesbian," which is
one of four video singles conceived, produced, directed, and edited by
band member and drummer Traci Michaelz. The video is also a 2006
nominee for the Los Angeles Film Festival.

The "do it yourself" band has since become a hit on the popular
networking and music Web site MySpace which boasts over 30 million
members worldwide. Out of thousands of bands, they currently hold
MySpace Music's Top Artists' number one spot for Glam bands rivaling
legendary bands such as Poison or Motley Crue. The band also basks in
the Top 20 for both Goth and Pop Punk categories.

For the band members having played in various well known bands
throughout the years including Pretty Boy Floyd (MCA/Universal), Total
Chaos (Epitaph), Heart Throb Mob (Alkaloid Junkie), and Christian
Death (Century Media), there will be no shortage of material on this
tour.

Band Member Eddie Electra states "This tour is a reflection of
everything that makes us who we are. Expect to hear the kind of songs
we are known for, as well as some material from the bands that
influenced us, including those we were once a part of!" The band's
original music has been self-described as "Cyber Anime Punk Pop Glam
Rawk." A closer listen also reveals on some tracks, elements of 1950's
"Doo Wop," Thrash, and Ska.

The Peppermint Creeps first came together at the tail end of the
Grunge era in 1997. The first CD CREEPSHOW was entirely financed by
the band and produced by Phil Soussan and Randy Castillo both former
band members for Rock Legend Ozzy Osbourne.

Punks, Goths, and Metal Heads appear to each embrace different aspects
of the band known for their outlandish makeup, costumes, and tight
stage show. In the live setting it's not uncommon to see fans of bands
such as My Chemical Romance, Blink 182, Green Day and AFI along side
fans of '80s "Hair bands" like Motley Crue, Kiss, or Poison.

Having never acquired an agent or recording contract, the group
managed to still bring itself public via music publications around the
world such as Kerrang, Metal Edge and Revolver. The group has also
been spotted on various rock related specials seen on "E"
Entertainment, VH1, and MTV, and their music has been played on radio
stations and in discotheques around the world.

This marks the fifth USA tour for the band, which has plans for Europe
next.

*** REALM OF SHRED ***

by Neal Woodall (MysticX9@...)

-Well, it's been awhile since the last "Realm Of Shred" column so let
me catch up on a few things...

-According to John Sykes' Web site, Thin Lizzy should be scheduled for
US dates this summer; keep posted at
http://www.johnsykes.com/news.html .

-There is a short but cool interview with Michael Schenker here:
http://www.prog-nose.org/metal-
nose/engels/interviews/schenker_michael_interview.htm

-Less than 50 tickets are available for ProgPower USA VII, make sure
to grab 'em soon! http://www.progpowerusa.com/

-You've probably been checking some of the shows on VH1's "Metal
Month" extravaganza -- several have been pretty cool including "Heavy:
The Story Of Metal" and "SuperGroup." I'm glad they did "Behind The
Music" episodes for Ratt and Pantera but both of those have to rank
among the most depressing I've ever seen; I know drama sells but it
seems to me they could have included a little more of the good times
enjoyed by those bands and their fans, instead we were treated to an
almost constant stream of conflict, hardship and death. I am looking
forward to seeing the "Rock Honors" show on May 31 and the
continuation of "Heavy" and "SuperGroup." http://www.vh1.com/

-Hey, nice to see VonGoober RADIO is back up and running! Steve
deserves a big hand for helping deserving bands get exposure and
turning fans on to stuff they would not ordinarily get to hear. Steve
has just put up a MySpace page and of course you should be regularly
visiting VonGoober RADIO! See http://www.vongoober.com/ and
http://www.myspace.com/vongoober for more.

-Speaking of MySpace, there are more cool pages to check out if you're
into it. I've noticed a lot of pages have disappeared recently
(including one I made), apparently due to copyright infringement
anxiety on the part of MySpace. Fortunately it looks like a lot of
bands are making efforts to get official pages up so be patient. Some
of my recent adds include:

http://www.myspace.com/dioofficial (finally an official Dio site!)
http://www.myspace.com/yngwiemalmsteenofficialpage (official Yngwie
page back up)
http://www.myspace.com/benedictum (very kick ass female fronted metal)
http://www.myspace.com/rushband (tribute)
http://www.myspace.com/nocturnalrites
http://www.myspace.com/vinniemoore (tribute)
http://www.myspace.com/thebandjadedheart
http://www.myspace.com/officialsymphonyx
http://www.myspace.com/nilskrue (Nils K. Rue of Pagan's Mind and
Eidolon)
http://www.myspace.com/viggopm (Jorn Viggo Lofstad of Pagan's Mind and
Jorn)
http://www.myspace.com/sevenwishes1 (excellent melodic hard rock
discovery)
http://www.myspace.com/twilightningownsass
http://www.myspace.com/realjorn (official for Jorn Lande)
http://www.myspace.com/officialcm (Circus Maximus site)
http://www.myspace.com/guitaristjamesbyrd
http://www.myspace.com/iconrox (Icon tribute)

You are always welcome to add me if you'd like. I'm here:
http://www.myspace.com/20317565 .

-Bullshit quote of the week comes from Vivian Campbell, who I still
rate as an excellent guitarist but with a f*cked up attitude. Here he
is spouting off a la Geoff Tate in a recent "Entertainment Weekly"
article:

"It's so weird, man. I meet people and they're all like, 'Dude, HOLY
DIVER, metal! And I hate metal music. It's true that in the '80s I
wanted to play like [metal fret-meisters] Yngwie Malmsteen and Paul
Gilbert and all those cats. But that stuff does not endure. It's
really impressive for the first 20 seconds. But I can still go back
and listen to [David Bowie's late guitarist] Mick Ronson and be
totally blown away every time."

Does not endure? My ass! I can go back and listen to metal albums I
bought when I was 14 and still enjoy the hell out of them. Why the
elitism?

-Anyway, in DVD news, Rush is all set to release REPLAY, a box set of
EXIT...STAGE LEFT, GRACE UNDER PRESSURE and A SHOW OF HANDS all re-
mixed in 5.1 surround sound and visually re-mastered -- awesome.
http://www.rush.com/php/replay_dvd.php

-Spending tons of time in the DVD player is Whitesnake's LIVE - IN THE
STILL OF THE NIGHT. Certainly one of the best of the recent spate of
DVD releases, this one just kicks ass from start to finish. A+, highly
recommended! http://whitesnake.com/goldsite/index2.html

-Also kicking ass is Dio's WE ROCK, a DVD featuring two early concerts
recorded in 1983 and 1984 in Holland and Philadelphia. Unfortunately
some of the original videos were omitted but most of it is here, plus
you get an excellent new interview with Ronnie. Obtain it!
http://www.ronniejamesdio.com/

-Strangely, I haven't heard much shred guitar stuff that has impressed
me lately. The new Joe Satriani is good, and there are a bunch of
fretburners all over MySpace trying to be the next fastest thing, but
I'm not really hearing that originality factor as much as I would
like. I'm going to keep my ears open for some new stuff and hopefully
have several interesting recommendations soon. For now you might check
out the band Code Of Perfection, they do some nice melodic shred on
their latest album LAST EXIT FOR THE LOST.
http://www.codeofperfection.de/

-Currently on the playlist: Benedictum - UNCREATION, Vanden Plas -
CHRIST 0, Evergrey - MONDAY MORNING APOCALYPSE, Eidolon - THE PARALLEL
OTHERWORLD, Killing Machine - METALMORPHOSIS, Jorn - THE DUKE. Vintage
Pick: Vandenberg - HEADING FOR A STORM.

-Well, I've taken up enough space for now. See you next time as the
Summer concert season heats up!
