-Paul Gilbert Releases First Ever All-Instrumental GET OUT OF MY YARD
August 29th On Shrapnel Records

HOLLYWOOD -- GET OUT OF MY YARD is the first all-instrumental CD by
guitarist Paul Gilbert. Known as a guitarist's guitarist, Gilbert's
strong fan base has been asking for an all-instrumental record for
years and they are about to get served up a guitar smorgasbord beyond
their wildest hopes. "Over the years, I've received tons of e-mails
from fans saying," states Gilbert. "Dude -- Why don't you make a
guitar instrumental album?" But I never wanted to."

Gilbert admits he had never aspired to write and record an
instrumental as he; himself rarely listened to guitar instrumental
records. "In 1988, I joined the band Mr. Big. At the same time, a big
record company offered me a deal to make a solo guitar instrumental
album 'just like Joe Satriani,'" explains Gilbert. "I turned the offer
down. When I would try to write instrumental songs, I don't know what
to do with the second verse. In a pop song, it's OK to repeat the
music and just change the words. But with no words, my second verse
ends up being exactly the same as the first. How do I get around
this?"

With the resurgent interest in musician oriented records the release
of this record is perfectly timed. Times have changed and once again
we find a legion of young players, now discovering the origins of high
performance shred guitar of which Paul Gilbert is one of the true
innovators. "I began to feel a genuine desire to make THIS, my first
solo guitar instrumental album," Gilbert explains. "I began by
choosing my 12 favorite guitars and basses and putting them in a room
where I could be surrounded by them. Then I called Jeff Bowders to
play drums, and started to work. Three months later, the CD was
finished. And...I LOVE THE THING."

Gilbert is regarded internationally as one of the greatest players in
the industry. Starting his recording career with Shrapnel Records as a
teenager in the late '80s, Paul Gilbert remains one of the most active
guitarists from the original shred guitar scene, stemming from his
multi-faceted talent and long range career. With Platinum success,
including a number one song with Mr. Big, and cult status as founding
member of the legendary and highly successful underground progressive
metal band Racer X, Gilbert's sales draw from nearly 20 albums and 20
years as a recording artist and touring musician.

Now, in 2006 we will experience the first of Gilbert's solo playing,
finally letting out all that pent-up shredding. GET OUT OF MY YARD in
store August 29th 2006, on Shrapnel Records.

Formed in late 2005, Furyon are poised to hit the scene with a
delicious mix of groove rock. Comprised of seasoned musicians that are
no strangers to the live scene around Europe, the band have hit the
south coast proving that rock music can be Hard, Heavy, Aggressive and
yet still audible to anyone who wants to understand what the hell the
lyrics are saying. In their own words "There's alot of rock out there,
alot of bands trying to put their message across on the live circuit.
What you get from a Furyon gig is a feeling that you've just been a
part of something, you may say 'that's not my bag' but you'll be
saying it while you're grooving to our music."

With the band's influences ranging from classic rock to progressive
metal, it would be unfair to pigeonhole their awesome music. The

-Crash Kelly Comments On Poison, Alice Cooper Shows

Toronto glam rock quartet begins California blitzkrieg

Glam rock quartet Crash Kelly -- whose new album, the Gilby Clarke-
produced ELECTRIC SATISFACTION, is now available -- is in the midst of
a series of high-profile gigs. Last week, the band performed a
hometown show at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre alongside Poison and
Cinderella before flying to America to play two shows with Alice
Cooper (including a gig at the Sturgis motorcycle rally).

"There was no better way to kick off the dog days of summer than to be
on the same bill as two of my childhood favorites," front man Sean
Kelly says about the Poison/Cinderella show. "Despite blazing heat, we
managed to rip out a couple of sets that highlighted the new material
from ELECTRIC SATISFACTION, and were pleased to find that the crowd
was on board."

Crash Kelly already toured Canada with Alice Cooper earlier this year,
but Kelly says the second go-round was even better. "Not even the
Canadian dates we did with Alice could prepare us for the thrill of
sharing the stage with him at two legendary venues. Sturgis saw us
performing in front of a crowd of 20,000, and I'm pleased to report
that we rose to the occasion. And to a kid growing up in small-town
Ontario, Billings, Montana seems like the most exotic of locales, and
playing the Shrine Auditorium felt like a true '70s-rock revival."

The group is now in Los Angeles, where Crash Kelly recorded their new
album. Kelly describes the city as the "spiritual home for the band in
a lot of ways. It was the early '80s Sunset Strip scene that served as
one of Crash Kelly's primary influences. Coming back to the birthplace
of ELECTRIC SATISFACTION is serving as inspiration for bringing these
songs to life on the stage. We're looking forward to playing with L.A.
Guns in their hometown, rocking some legendary venues and also looking
forward to highlighting some of the often overlooked other influences
of the band with our appearance at the International Pop Overthrow.
Wrapping it up at Metal Skool should prove to be a fitting cap for our
latest rock n' roll fantasy."

In other news, Crash Kelly was named "band of the day" by Spin
magazine's Web site earlier this week. The feature can be read at this

-Prog Metal Band Thessera Signs To North American Label ProgRock
Records

Brazilian Prog Metal band Thessera has just signed to the North
American label ProgRock Records, well-known for releasing and
discovering talents such as Frameshift, Chain, Oliver Wakeman, and Guy
Manning (The Tangent).

Three songs from the Brazilians' debut album FOOLED EYES are available
in their complete versions at Thessera's Official MySpace Page:
http://www.myspace.com/thessera

Thessera was formed in the early days of 2003, with the idea of
playing Prog Metal with Brazilian rhythms and elements from different
music styles such as fusion, and blues.

The band is composed of Marcelo Quina (voice), Nando Costa (guitar),
Raphael Lamim (guitar), Marcelo Mattos (bass), Rodolfo Amaro
(keyboards) and Fernando Cerutti (drums), and has been performing live
in a number of shows, taking part in festivals, workshops and cultural
events, and having played as an opening act for Angra in September
2004.

FOOLED EYES tells the story of young artist Andrew Hesser, who finds
himself in the most fulfilling moment of his life: the celebration of
his engagement to Jeanne Seamus. During the engagement party, he
starts to feel sick and faints before a friend. He then starts a
journey throughout his unconscious mind, traveling across a real
gallery of memories. There, Andrew recalls the family conflicts of his
childhood, his dreams, disappointments, and his love for Jeanne. Hours
later, at home, Andrew is awakened by his friend. Impressed by the
dream he just had, Andrew answers a phone call, only to find that this
is where the real nightmare begins...

-Pillar: New CD & Tour!

Pillar - THE RECKONING to release October 3rd, 2006
Lead radio single & debut video to impact August 2006
Headlining "Days of Reckoning Tour" planned for fall 2006

As evidenced by their fourth release overall, THE RECKONING, the
Oklahoma-based quartet, Pillar, continue to hone their melodic yet
simple and tough sound. "We're all from the Midwest. It's all about
real rock and roll," explains singer Rob Beckley. And while RECKONING
should appeal to fans of good ol' rock and roll, there is a modern
edge to the tunes as well -- the Tool-esque "Awake," the Jimmy Eat
World-like "Sometimes," and the Rage Against The Machine vs. AC/DC
heavyweight bout, "Everything."

Produced by Travis Wyrick and Pillar and mixed by David Bendeth
(Hawthorne Heights, As I Lay Dying, Breaking Benjamin), THE RECKONING
carries on the Midwest's legacy of rich rock with sounds and themes
inspired by Pillar's home turf.

"The majority of this country is small-town America and suburban
living out in the middle of nowhere," comments frontman Rob Beckley.
"Those type of hardworking people, that's who we are, that's where we
come from. Rock and roll in the Midwest is rock and roll."

Pillar innovates its rock and roll style on THE RECKONING,
experimenting with musical genres, vocal technique and song
narratives. Tracks like "Sometimes" skips with infectious punk urgency
while the melancholy ballad "Angel In Disguise" is lyrically laid out
like a country tune. Beckley also uses his voice as an instrument for
the first time in the haunting introduction to "Last Goodbye."

"We're concerned with what our fans think of us," Beckley grants. "And
we don't want to let them down, but at the same time we know that in
order to grow you can't stay stagnant."

Releasing simultaneously on Oct. 3 will be a special edition of THE
RECKONING, comprising the new album and featuring a bonus DVD with
over 3 1/2 hours of footage, including a 2006 performance, as well as
song commentaries by the band, and a "how to" section (in which the
members explain the equipment they use, the technical aspects of
songs, etc.)

Pillar's first single from the record, "Everything," goes for adds at
Rock and Active Rock radio in August. The band will headline the "Days
Of Reckoning Tour" this fall featuring Kids In The Way, Dead Poetic
and Showdown. For more information, visit http://www.pillarmusic.com/
.

Since the band's 2001 debut ABOVE, Flicker Records artist Pillar has
seen unprecedented success in every aspect of its career. With over
700,000 lifetime sales (including FIREPROOF and WHERE DO WE GO FROM
HERE both approaching 300,000 units scanned), headlining seven
national tours, performed for more than two million people, and been
featured on the covers of Radio & Records, Rockline Magazine, and HM
Magazine. The band has also received print coverage in Rolling Stone,
Spin, Bass Player, and Hit Parader.

Pillar's video "Bring Me Down" saw heavy rotation on the Fuse TV
program "Rockzilla" and was voted No. 1 at Fuse TV's "Oven Fresh." The
band additionally won Fuse TV's Next Big Thing award. The band will be
filming a performance based video for the first single, "Everything"
on a 10,000 acre ranch in Kansas.

-Warface's INSANITY OF THE OBSESSED On Deathquake Records -- Crushing
The World August 15th

"What separates Warface from virtually every other lesser-known yet
highly talented Death Metal acts out there? Hooks. Miles and miles of
ridiculously barbed and jagged hooks delivered with a precision so
many groups of such ilk strive for yet so few truly attain. Just when
you think the group is about to relinquish its ice cold death-grip and
leave you to molder in a shallow unmarked grave, they pull you back
just below the surface for even more cruel and unusual punishment. If
every group in the genre were this capable and genuinely dedicated to
perfecting their craft the charts and airwaves, as we know them,
wouldn't be hopelessly clogged with insipid Pop drivel. Trust me, my
friends, if this one don't leave ya battered, bruised and bloodied,
then nothing -- and I mean nothing -- ever will."
~~Todd Newton – Blasting Zone

HOLLYWOOD -- Deathquake Records is proud to present Death Metal Trio
Warface and their full-length debut INSANITY OF THE OBSESSED. Hailing
from San Diego, CA the trio is comprised of Laura Christine (Lead
guitar), Dave Smith (vocals/bass) and Tyson Jupin (drums).

Since the release of their EP, Warface has grown and developed its
unique style and chemistry giving fans music that they can really sink
their teeth into. When Deathquake Records came knocking, they
recognized the brutal metal music this band created and signed the
Death Metal trio immediately. After signing the band was sent straight
to the studio to work with world-class engineer/producer Alan
Sanderson (System Of A Down, Slayer, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash).

INSANITY OF THE OBSESSED blends complex yet catchy moody-melodies with
low brow pounding grooves that hook. This style of writing makes the
songs memorable and sticks in the listener's head and soul.

One other unique dynamic of this extreme metal band is their female
lead guitarist Laura Christine. The extreme metal genre has yet to see
a female out front handling all rhythm and lead guitar duties single
handedly as well as writing and producing. Metal Curse Magazine
declared that "Warface is something that you don't see every day:
Brutal Death Metal with not only a female guitarist, but in fact a
female guitar hero!"

Warface is not trying to reinvent metal, but simply carry on the
tradition of bringing quality metal music to the masses. INSANITY OF
THE OBSESSED was written and performed to honor the great legends
before them. INSANITY OF THE OBSESSED is available in stores and the
web August 15th, 2006.

suburbs of L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. In an era where major labels
refused to consider American punk groups, Brett Gurewitz formed
Epitaph Records as a medium for the band's message. Their religious
and political questioning is so thought provoking the many who look
into each establishment themselves and wonder, "Who really has the
control in today's world?"

what to do with a sing-along chorus. Except stab it in the face,

scything intensity and superhuman kick-drum violence are their stock
in trade, but the songs are shrewdly written and arranged too..." –
Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles

"BLOODLUST can only be described as premeditated musical warfare" -
AMP magazine

"Call them death, metalcore or even deathcore, it doesn't alter the
fact that these guys know exactly what it takes to make a brutal

-All That Remains Front Man To Hit The Airwaves At Sirius Satellite
Radio

All That Remains front man Phil Labonte will take a break from the
band's busy touring schedule to hang with his good friend and Hard
Attack host Mario inside the Sirius satellite radio studios Aug. 16.
Labonte holds nothing back, and will be talking about past band
troubles, vocal influences, the band's spot on the second stage of
OZZfest, the band's new record, and of course some of his favorite
bands. Make sure to tune in Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 9 p.m. (Eastern) to
hear tracks from All That Remains record, THE FALL OF IDEALS,
alongside hand-picked music from some of Labonte's favorite bands, new
and old. The interview will also be re-broadcast Sunday, Aug 20 at 12
p.m. (Eastern) for those that can't catch it the first time.

Scanning nearly 13,000 copies first week, THE FALL OF IDEALS was
Prosthetic Records' most successful first week sales debut in the
label's nearly ten years of existence. Upon completion of OZZfest
earlier this week and having already stormed Europe as part of Sounds
Of The Underground earlier this year, All That Remains will head back
out on the road in September across the United States. More
information on those dates will be available shortly. THE FALL OF
IDEALS was recorded with producer Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage)
and engineer Peter Wichers (ex-Soilwork). The album marks the recorded
debuts of new bassist Jeanne Sagan and drummer Shannon Lucas, the
result being an album Revolver magazine dubs, "Both brutal and
beautiful. Scary good."

Additionally, the lead single/video from THE FALL OF IDEALS, "This
Calling," can currently be seen on Fuse's "Uranium" as well as MTV2's
"Headbanger's Ball." The video can also be found at on-line on the
band's Web site at http://www.allthatremainsonline.com/ .

-Napalm Records will release "two slabs of MEGA-f'n-DOOM" on October
10: Ahab's THE CALL OF THE WRETCHED SEA and Draconian's THE BURNING
HALO. Germany's Ahab is comprised of Midnattsol members Christian
Hector and Daniel Droste and Endzeit's Stephan Adolf. Label hype:
"Bowel-emptying heaviness combined with coiling, hypnotic melodies,
Ahab's debut is forlorn funeral-doom that should place the project
well within the ranks of Thergothon, Unholy, Skepticism, Morgion, and
even Catacombs." The new release from Sweden's Draconian is a "bonus
album" meant to fill the gap between the band's second and upcoming
third albums. THE BURNING HALO features new songs, re-recorded old
demo tracks, and covers of songs by Pentagram and Ekseption. Hype:
"Draconian locate that elusive balance between doom/death chunder and
sweeping goth grandeur." See http://www.napalmrecords.com/ for more.
