-Yes, we are *extremely* late this week. It's about as late as you can
be and still call it "this week," but I will say that when I drove in
to work this morning I passed a house that still had Christmas lights
on. At least we're not *that* late. - Tim

Moonlight Comedy were formed in 1998 in Italy and immediately started

MARTONE - WHEN THE ALIENS COME

Released February 23rd 2007
LMC198
EAN6419922001981

If you thought that Canadian rock started and ended with Rush, Saga or
Triumph, think again. Canadian guitar virtuoso, Dave Martone is a
force to be reckoned with. Dave has recorded several excellent albums
with influences which range from straight-ahead rock and progressive
metal to more experimental tones, something that has brought him a
considerable amount of attention from fans worldwide.

Dave has performed in countless cities in the world, given clinics and
taught at Berklee College Of Music and the National Guitar Workshop.
He has written instructional columns for the likes of Guitarpalooza
Records, the Guitar 9 Web site, Italy's Guitar2001 as well as being
featured in one of the world's largest guitar magazines -- Guitar One
-- being profiled as one of four underground "shred gods" in the
January 2006 issue. This illustrious background shows the reputation
that comes with the Martone name and Lion Music is proud to introduce
Dave's new solo album Martone - WHEN THE ALIENS COME.

The new album is 13 tracks full of crunching guitars with the song
writing emphasis on maintaining an element of the future. Dave
comments, "My goal was first off complete it. I did a DVD in the
middle and that took some time. The main concept of the album is
trying to envision what music of the future might be. Trying to
imagine that I could hop in some alien space ship 400 years from now
and see what was playing on their I-pod equivalent!" Dave used
everyday life as inspiration for the album, "There are so many things
we go through on a day to day basis. Being able to capture them
sonically is quite challenging. Sometimes it is quite easy."

WHEN THE ALIENS COME showcases what the guitar is capable of in the
right hands in 2007 and may just show where the guitar is heading in
the future.

SUN CAGED - ARTEMISIA
Released March 23rd 2007
LMC200
EAN6419922002001

Artemisia is a metaphorical place. In some ways it's akin to
Neverland, and in other ways, its opposite. People we've lost and
dreams we've let go find themselves here. There's sadness about the
place, and yet a warm glow as we stroll among memories of what
might've been. The music paints the landscape, and the lyrics serve as
our guide as we tour this place. The classical metaphors and
allegories are stripped of their pretence and rejoined with their
humanistic origins. Pain and loss are recurring themes, as is the
never-ending quest for the understanding, strength and humility that
living in the real world demands.

Back with a virtually new lineup, yet a musical nod to the past, Sun
Caged return with ARTEMISIA, their second album and four years after
their self-titled debut (LMC070).

Since the debut the band have seen almost wholesale changes in
personnel with only guitarist and band founder Marcel Coenen remaining
from the debut. Yet the typical Sun Caged sound is still present, if
anything even richer with even more different sounds and styles than
heard on the debut. The new band members and Coenen have delved deep
to deliver an album that acts on creative impulses, without limiting
themselves to the standard bag of tricks often heard in the
progressive genre. ARTEMISIA delivers an album full of unstoppable
vocal melody, virtuoso guitar work, odd time signatures and complex
chord sequences all topped off with an ultra powerful production.

Track Listing
01. Lyre's Harmony
02. A Fair Trade
03. Unborn
04. Bloodline
05. Painted Eyes
06. Engelbert The Inchworm
07. Afraid To Fly

FRANCESCO FARERI - SECRETS WITHIN

Released March 23rd 2007
LMC202
EAN6419922002025

Italian guitar blazer Francesco Fareri will release his second album
on Lion Music on March 23rd 2007, entitled SECRETS WITHIN. The new
album contains two contrasting sides of Francesco's musical vision and
is quite different from Francesco's previous release FORBIDDEN
DIMENSION (LMC147) in his playing, ideas and approach to music in
general.

SECRETS WITHIN is divided into two movements, one heavy and one
acoustic to better show all of Francesco's ideas, feelings and the way
he considers music. Francesco simply comments, "I believe this album
to be the best material I've ever released and the one that best
represents me. This album is really introspective and very important
for me, it was inspired from the experience of the impossible things
happened in the last years and from everyday stuff. This isn't a
guitar album, as I wanted all the instruments to have the same
importance in every song. I really care recording all music in general
with particular attention."

SECRETS WITHIN two movements are subtitled. "Into The Dark Line" is
the heavy part of the album and is more into shred and progressive
metal yet with a lot of themes, melodies and unison passages, whilst
the second movement of the album "Out Of The Dark Line" is acoustic
and is only guitar and piano/keyboards with more delicate melodies and
some really introspective moments.

SECRETS WITHIN sees Francesco team up with a wealth of virtuoso
musicians in Kyle Honea on Bass and Lucrezio De Seta on Drums. On
these musicians contribution Francesco states, "The experience and
confidence of players like Kyle Honea and Lucrezio De Seta improved
the songs because they understood exactly what I wanted to record and
they played with their style but focusing on my main idea. They are
the best rhythm section ever heard!"

SECRETS WITHIN also features guest keyboard/piano solos from Vitalij
Kuprij (Artension, ex-Ring Of Fire, solo) and Bob Katsionis
(Imaginery, Firewind, solo).

The CD also contains extra material with photos, transcriptions,
videos, a diary of the making of SECRETS WITHIN and much more.

new single "Daydreams."

The hard-hitting rock trio from Finland have returned. Their style of
playing is very honest in-your-face-heavy-rock. Yet to balance the
edge and immediacy of their style there is clearly also a melodic
aspect in their music.

The themes on their songs vary from the joy of love to the feelings of
loneliness and abandonment, from partying and living it up to more
profound reflections on the meaningfulness of life itself. You can

-Temple Of Brutality Hit The Road With First Headline Tour

TRENTON, NJ -- Florida metal band Temple Of Brutality are preparing
for its first headline tour beginning on March 7 in West Palm Beach,
Florida, in support of their debut album LETHAL AGENDA, which will be
released on February 27 by Demolition Records.

Last year, Temple Of Brutality (Peter Scheithauer - guitar, Todd
Barnes - vocals, Dave Ellefson - bass, and Stet Howland - drums)
played several high-profile shows on the Jagermeister tour with Arch
Enemy as well as a few dates with Disturbed. The band is looking
forward to playing headline shows throughout the U.S., especially
since the album will be released before the first date of the tour.

"One of the biggest tests for any band is to play your music to an
audience who has never heard your material before," said bassist David
Ellefson. "Our first shows were incredible and they let us know we
were on the right track transitioning from the studio on to the stage.
The mosh pits and the aggressive fervor from the fans was exactly what
you'd expect from a band with our name -- pure brutality! The shows
will only get better now that the album is releasing and people can
actually hear the music before seeing the band live."

Todd Barnes' lyrics are a huge part of Temple Of Brutality. The raw
intensity of the music is the perfect platform for Barnes' words about
government corruption, secret societies, and media manipulation, to
travel upon.

"We live in times of extreme political conflict and tension," said
Ellefson. "Todd's lyrics do an excellent job of drawing unsympathetic
attention to the oppressive authorities that try to rule and control
the very people they are supposed to serve. He metaphorically paints a
great picture of the ultimate Temple Of Brutality; a supposed safe
haven run amok with officials who use their political arena as a
playground for their own lethal agendas."

Temple Of Brutality's plans to tour the U.S. throughout the spring
with Midwest and Southern legs in April and May and a West coast leg
in June.

-Bay Area Rock Fest

[Note: This is a compilation of two separate releases. - Tim]

Bay Area Rock Promotions is pleased to announce the inaugural Bay Area
Rock Fest with Spock's Beard and Jon Oliva's Pain as the headlining
acts for a two-day progressive rock and metal festival in San
Francisco.

Legendary progressive rockers Spock's Beard come back to the Bay Area
with their unique mix of progressive rock with their latest album
SPOCK'S BEARD -- the third effort to feature the vocal stylings of
drummer Nick D'Virgilio. SPOCK'S BEARD capitalizes on the quartet's
polished and expansive take on progressive rock, all the while adding
new flavors and layers.

Jon Oliva's Pain, the solo act of legendary Savatage singer and Trans-
Siberian Orchestra composer Jon Oliva, tours on their new album
MANIACAL RENDERINGS. The Mountain King has promised a unique set which
will feature songs of his new album plus many Savatage classics and
songs never performed live as well as some stories on Savatage and the
late, great Criss Oliva.

Crimson Glory To Co-headline Bay Area Rock Fest; Mob Rules And Balance
Of Power Added To Lineup

Bay Area Rock Promotions is pleased to announce the return of Crimson
Glory as a co-headliner in the inaugural Bay Area Rock Fest in San
Francisco. Crimson Glory marks the return of ASTRONOMICA vocalist Wade
Black by playing for the first time in 16 years as a U.S. headliner
with the original lineup of Jon Drenning, Jeff Lords, Ben Jackson and
Dana Burnell, as well as Jessie Rojas.

"I am excited to have Crimson Glory mark our 25th anniversary by
headlining the Bay Area Rock Fest," comments guitarist/songwriter Jon
Drenning. "We promise to make our fans attending the show from San
Francisco and around the world bleed Crimson Glory!"

U.K.-based Balance Of Power returns to the United States for the first
time in six years with new lead vocalist Corey Brown from Magnitude 9
and Section 16. Corey's soulful pipes add a whole new dimension to the
strong songwriting and rhythmic foundation anchored by Tony Ritchie,
Pete Southern and Lionel Hicks. They will be performing a variety of
songs from their 12-year career, plus a few new songs.

Mob Rules from Germany makes their debut appearance in the United
States after five critically acclaimed albums. After establishing
themselves in Europe playing with acts like the Scorpions, Dio,
Symphony X, Savatage and Helloween as well as the legendary Wacken
Open Air festival, their blend of melodic and progressive metal is
destined to make a huge impact in the U.S.A. These elements are
featured prominently in the 25-minute opus "Ethnolution" off their new
album ETHNOLUTION AD" available on SPV Records.

Other bands appearing on the bill include Bay Area bands Enchant, Zero
Hour and Timeline as well as Odin's Court from Maryland. Making their
appearance for the first time in the United States is Australia's new
progressive power metal masters Eyefear.

"I am excited to bring this mix of top acts in the progressive rock
and progressive metal genre," comments David Hatchell, the festival
organizer. "The Bay Area has always had a strong rock and metal scene,
but also a history of audiences appreciating a great diversity in
music from the days of Bill Graham. I am confident that all fans of
rock and metal will enjoy seeing the best of the local and
international bands that focus on the best melodic, progressive and
hard-charging rock and roll on the planet!"

Due to visa issues, Angra will not be performing at the festival as
previously announced.

Bay Area Rock Fest will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 4th and
5th at The Independent in San Francisco. Other acts on the bill that
have been previously announced are Jon Oliva's Pain, Spock's Beard,
Enchant, Zero Hour, Eyefear, Timeline and Odin's Court. Tickets will

-Skeletonwitch Signs With Prosthetic Records

Cleveland thrashers Skeletonwitch have officially inked a deal with
Prosthetic Records. Fresh off self-releasing the WORSHIP THE WITCH EP,
the band will now join the Prosthetic roster having already shared
stage with the likes of High On Fire, Bleeding Through, Overkill and
label mates Kylesa earlier this month.

Tentatively scheduled for a fall 2007, the forthcoming Skeletonwitch
release will be produced by Cory Smoot (Municipal Waste, Gwar) in June
and comes off the heels of a previous full-length and an EP in
addition to persistent touring. The band, regarding their sound,
declares, "Imagine a young Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Exodus
slamming beers and cranking up Immortal records at a rager in 1985.
Just when you think the keg is killed, Judas Priest joins the party
with a fresh case of beer."

To preview current Skeletonwitch material, visit
http://www.myspace.com/skeletonwitch . The band is currently working
on touring plans for the spring of 2007.

"Skeletonwitch is underground gold." - www.MetalCrypt.com

"It just has the feel of an '80s thrash record in every department...
If you're a fan of the era than you want this." - www.DeadTide.com

"WORSHIP THE WITCH should be quite appealing to fans of '80s thrash
metal as well as those just looking for something new to throw some
horns up to." - Lambgoat.com

"I have to say the opening of the first track really surprised me, I
was expecting some ultra heavy detuned extreme black metal. Instead I
got this great 1986 feeling of hearing some great thrash metal along
the lines of Kreator, Testament, and Overkill. The riffs are well-
constructed and have a great melody to them. Then there are the
vocals, which remind me of some bestial creature being suffocated by
its own regurgitated bile." - www.PeaceDogMan.com

"I guess you could call it blackened death thrash... a force to be
reckoned with." - www.UnboundZine.com

"Birthed from the loins of Satanic frenzy; forged in Metal and spit
out of Ohio like venom, Skeletonwitch puts a new twist on old school
by combining traditional NWOBHM arrangements with modern Melodic Death
Metal aesthetic. Top it off with throat-grinding vocals and you got
the Metal juggernaut that is the 'Witch." - www.HellRidemusic.com

-It's been reported everywhere that the Van Halen summer reunion tour
with David Lee Roth has been called off. Folks are also whispering the
band now might not even perform at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
induction ceremony when it's inducted. Sheesh... This now may become a
collector's item: a photo of the Dave/Eddie/Wolfgang/Alex lineup was
posted at

by Tim Wadzinski (tsw512@...)

-I hope I don't burn for this but it's kind of funny so I feel the
need to share... This past Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, and I went to
church in the morning to receive ashes. If you've never seen this, a
priest rubs dark ashes on your forehead in the shape of a cross.
Sometimes you really get a big ol' "plus sign" mark on your forehead.
This happened to me on Wednesday. Over the course of the day, while
you're at work, it's hard to remember you have this on your head. This
also happened to me. I absent-mindedly rubbed my forehead at one
point, and some of the bottom part of the mark came off. I didn't
realize what happened, but later on when I looked in a mirror I saw
it. Now, I kind of wear my hair short and "slicked back," and with
part of the cross missing I looked a tad bit like King Diamond.

-Now in my current playlist: Intense - AS OUR ARMY GROWS (Napalm
Records), Temple Of Brutality - LETHAL AGENDA (Demolition Records),
Crown The Lost - REVERANCE DIES WITHIN (indie).
