Minoru Niihara

New release coming to North America via Nightmare Records / Koch

Street Date: March 4th, 2008

As the founding vocalist of Loudness, Minoru Niihara is well-known as
one of Japan's top heavy metal exports. Through tours with the likes
of AC/DC and Motley Crue, Loudness stood out from the metal masses
with unforgettable MTV hits like "Crazy Nights" and "Let It Go."
Niihara left the band in the late 1980s to pursue a new sound,
eventually winding up in X.Y.Z.->A with legendary Japanese guitarist
Fumihiko Kitsutaka.

Re-titled Asian Typhoon for the North American market, Niihara and
Kitsutaka are joined in X.Y.Z.->A by virtuoso bassist Tatsuhiko Wasada
and acclaimed drummer/producer Funky Sueyoshi. The quartet formed in
1999 and has since put out six albums, six singles, and two DVDs.
Featuring heavy-hitters like "Heavy Road" and "For Whom The Bell
Tolls," WINGS is the band's first North American release. WINGS shows
the band at its heaviest yet also its most melodic with Kitsutaka's
shredding still on full display.

In addition to his work with Kitsutaka and crew, Niihara recently
released ASHES TO GLORY -- his first solo album -- as produced by Wynn
Davis of Guns N' Roses fame. He also re-joined Loudness, who in 2006
did their first U.S. tour in more than 15 years. Although it would be
impossible to predict the future, one can only assume that Minoru
Niihara will continue to sing his trademark high-pitched wails for
many years to come.

Dear Friends,

It's hard to believe that it's the time of year again when we are
sending out our seasonal wishes and New Year greetings. 2007 has been
an exciting year for Lion Music, with (in our opinion) many of our
best releases to date, we have seen the launch of a visually more
pleasing Web site, an ever increasing MySpace portfolio of friends
(who have found us) and some truly stunning press.

2007 saw Lion Music release the world's first triple pack release in
the guise of Mind's Eye – A GENTLEMAN'S HURRICANE which was has been
met with simply mind blowing reviews from all over the world (and they
are still coming in!).

Yet we are sad to report that the musical landscape for a small
independent label likes ours is getting worse with each month, illegal
downloads are ever increasing from bit torrent sites and for a labels
like ourselves we are having to amend or in some cases remove some
operations to remain viable. This is something we aim to see through
and would like to believe that things will be all right in the end but
if you really care about these things then please think before you
download for free (illegally) -- thank you.

2008 looks like being another strong year on the release front;
January 2008 sees a new album from '80s Swedish metallers Overdrive
who return after a layoff of over 20 years in fine style with LET THE
METAL DO THE TALKING, along with a limited edition CD/DVD from the
Cyril Achard Trio. Other releases lined up include albums from
Tomorrow's Eve, Iron Mask, Shadrane, Mattsson, George Bellas, Emir Hot
(with John West and Mike Terrana), Astra, some reissues from House Of
Shakira and a special release for Mind's Eye fans (info to follow on
this soon). We also have a few other rather exciting things up our
sleeves which we will reveal further into 2008.

Holy friends, we give you: "Slaves For Life"!

This is the opening track from our first part of a Trilogy recounting
the Bible story of Moses and the Exodus from Egypt.

On the first album of the trilogy we pick up the story right from the
slavery period in Egypt when the new Pharaoh enslaves and oppresses
the Israelites with forced labour. This is what we tried to emphasize
on this song, the cruelty and ruthless power of the cold hearted
Pharaoh and on the other hand the Israeli slaves desperate cry for
deliverance!

The song features Mats Leven (ex-Therion, Krux) on lead vocals, Kobi
Farhi (Orphaned Land) on lead oriental singing and Erez Yohanan as the
Narrator.

The art work was hand drawn by Mattias Noren. As stated before, each
and every track on the album will be presented with his own unique
hand drawn illustration, this meant to capture the moment and vision
for the songs.

No release date is yet set for the album. As soon as we find ourselves
a record label we will announce it, so as we see it the release is a
few months away from us.

The singer talked about the Shadowside career, the success of the
THEATRE OF SHADOWS album released on Chavis Records, the current U.S

Recently, Dani Nolden has issued the following message about the start
of their U.S. tour on MySpace:

"Metalheads worlwide, the Devastating The Theatre Tour has finally
begun and best of all, in great style! We arrived in Vegas on Tuesday,
a few days before the concert. With a time difference of six hours it
just made sense to get there in advance to adjust to it and -- OF
COURSE -- we took the opportunity to see the Sin City. Impressive
place, DAMN COLD and amazing people. We even risked gambling a little
bit, just to find out we suck at it!

"(...) It was even more fun than the sightseeing! After Indianapolis
Metal Fest, we were looking forward to come back to U.S. again and it
was great seeing everyone enjoying themselves at the venue. We got on
stage quite late, at around midnight and still the crowd was rocking.
It was a short set list unfortunately but we'll definitely go back for
a longer concert. Huge thanks to Leah and Aaron for the pictures and
everyone who supported us and helped make it happen.

"So we are now in Huntington, West Virginia and the tour goes on from
here to the world... we can't wait to play EVERYWHERE and will show
our stupid faces again soon with more pictures and reports and even
more ROCK!" she said.

Nifelheim
