-Evergrey Signs With Steamhammer/SPV

Following intense and very constructive discussions, Steamhammer/SPV
have announced their future collaboration with Swedish dark melodic
metal act, Evergrey. The deal includes not only the group's brand-new
studio album, TORN, which will arrive at the stores at the beginning
of September, but also Evergrey's complete back catalogue. Evergrey
mastermind Tom S. Englund is looking forward to a productive
cooperation with Steamhammer, explaining: "After long and intense
negotiations, we feel that we have arrived at optimum conditions for
everybody involved. We are confident that Evergrey will continue to
grow artistically under the terms of this contract, that SPV will
enjoy our cooperation and -- this is definitely the most important
aspect -- that our fans will thoroughly benefit from the new deal."

The first stage of this ambitious target will see the release of
Evergrey's new studio album, TORN, at the beginning of September,
featuring eleven compositions, described by Englund as a "modern mix
of IN SEARCH OF TRUTH and RECREATION DAY. The tracks are all
guitar-oriented and very atmospheric. They have exactly the sound that
our fans expect from us." According to Englund, the slightly more
experimental direction of Evergrey's previous release, MONDAY MORNING
APOCALYPSE, has given way again to old strengths and virtues. "Two
years ago we needed an album with a slightly different approach and an
expensive producer, just to find out how that sort of thing works. It
was the right album at the time, but now we have returned to our
typical trademarks." This is one of the reasons why the tracks on TORN
were self-produced by Englund together with drummer Jonas Ekdahl. In
addition, the band has a new bassist, Fredrik Larsson having been
replaced by former Stratovarius musician Jari Kainulainen.

Since the band arrived on the scene in 1998, Evergrey have brought out
six studio albums and one live cut. All of them made the top 20 in
their native Sweden and the last two made the top 10 (no. 6 and 3,
respectively). On top of that, their DVD was #1 for four weeks and
nominated for a Grammy in Sweden. The band has toured around the globe
several times, together with In Flames, Nevermore, Throwdown, Arch
Enemy, Children Of Bodom and Iced Earth, among others. Along with
TORN, their new contract with Steamhammer/SPV includes the band's
complete back catalogue, so top-quality reissues featuring a selection
of bonus tracks are likely in future. "There is so much additional
material for each album that we could theoretically re-release it on
an extra DVD. Whatever we manage to do -- premium reissues are
certainly a possibility."

-The Stript Come Undone On Debut Release

LAS VEGAS, NV -- Fast rising Las Vegas hard rock merchants The Stript
have released their self-titled debut six-song EP through the already
defunct Iffiym label. Yes, you read that correctly. Front man Mike
Lorenzo explains, "Iffiym was a local label who had released a couple
of albums and as they were getting ready to put our EP out they went
bust so they gave us the copies that had been manufactured and we
basically called it even."

Watching their record label dissolve before their eyes didn't put off
the determined quartet, rather it invigorated them and they started
hitting the local clubs hard with the intensity of a sledgehammer and
made several trips out of town. Lorenzo elaborates, "We just said
screw it and booked ourselves two tours up and down the west coast,
playing anywhere and everywhere. We went out for three weeks, came
home for a bit and went back out for five more weeks. Who says you
can't do it on your own?"

Attitude infused tracks such as opener "Come Undone," "Runnin' N'
Screamin'" and the EP's focus track "Where Will You Go" call to mind
the likes of Sunset Strip heroes such as Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns
and Bang Tango as well as contemporary "glamsters" such as Sweden's
Backyard Babies and Hardcore Superstar among others.

-Carmine Appice's SLAMM USA

SLAMM USA is a band/theatrical experience that only Carmine Appice
could have put together. Why? It features five drummers and one
guitarist, and combines elements of the Blue Man Group, Home Depot,
NASCAR, and melodic hard rock.

The troupe will be performing its over-the-edge music at a variety of
events -- a fundraiser for the Hartford Children's Medical Center at
Foxwoods next week, in June with Paul Green's School of Rock, and with
a drum line at Washington State College this fall.

Described as "'Stomp' on steroids" the lineup includes Carmine Appice
(Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck, etc.) and also
Z Man, Mad Matty, Veronica and Marcus VooDoo, all playing drums and
props. The guitarist is Artie D.

This dynamic, explosive physical drum show presents Appice and four
young drummers ruling the stage and making rock music playing buckets,
sticks, oil cans, drain pipes, even Dixie cups, as well as drums. The
cast of four vibrant, young guys and girls have been relentlessly
coached and rehearsed by the cool, rock star veteran, creating a
flawless, electrifying theatrical show. SLAMM performed seven packed
shows to delighted audiences in New York City, as special preview
performances before they expanded the show nationally, to include such
venues at the Dunkin Donuts Arena, and the Providence Performing Arts
Center.

SLAMM currently stars in a big budget promotional video for ESPN, in
which the SLAMM cast plays the NASCAR garage, beating the hood of a
multi-million dollar NASCAR car to a custom SLAMM-composed Nascar
theme song. Notes Appice, "I'm glad NASCAR didn't make us pay for
playing the garage!" This video is played every week on ESPN's NASCAR
television broadcasts and is seen by over three million people per
week.

SLAMM shows:

May 23 - Hard Rock Cafe, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Ledyard, CT
benefit for Hartford Childrens Medical Center

with Paul Green's School of Rock and Devo

September 6 - University of Washington with the Drum line

-Bruce Kulick's KKB

(Vintage '70s recording has modern appeal, and is now available)

Before Bruce Kulick became a fixture on the speed dial of legendary
rockers like Kiss (who proudly called him their lead guitarist for 12
years), Meat Loaf (Kulick was a member of Meat's BAT OUT OF HELL
touring troupe), or Grand Funk Railroad (with whom he has toured the
country for most of the last decade)... Before he became one of the
most sought-after guest musicians in the world... Before he garnered
praise from press the world over as a Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp
counselor to be both respected and feared...

Before all of that, Bruce Kulick was a fan of great rock music...
Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Yes, The Who... You
name it, Kulick knew it.

"I always tell people, when they ask me how to get better at their
instrument, that the best way to do that is find other players in your
neighborhood," says Kulick. "To that end, after I'd been playing a
while, I found a guy who lived in the next building over from me, in
the Jackson Heights area of Queens, New York. His name was Mike Katz,
and he was a bass player who loved all of the same bands I did. We
started jamming, and, because we already spoke the same language
musically, it was just magical. We found a drummer named Guy Bois who
rounded out the picture, and we formed a group that we envisioned as a
cross between Cream and Yes."

After months of rehearsal in the Bois family basement, the band
(which, although called "KKB" today never really had an official name)
entered New York's Sudden Rush recording studio in September of 1974
armed with a handful of songs. As with many young, upstart bands,
things didn't progress from there as the three members had hoped, and
eventually Kulick, Katz, and Bois went their separate ways. The reel-
to-reel tape of those sessions sat gathering dust, until a garage sale
find in 2006 (a TEAC reel-to-reel player in great condition, and a
steal at $35.00) lead to its rediscovery...

"I put that tape on, and I was blown away," says Kulick with a smile
today. "It was like a time capsule, but at the same time, there was
such passion and fury in the music. It was funny, too, how I
recognized so many elements in that tape from almost 35 years ago that
are still in my guitar playing today."

As enjoyable as it was for Bruce to journey down memory lane, it was
playing the tape for friends and other musicians that led him to
consider releasing it to the public at large. "Everyone I played it
for said the same thing, which is that I needed to put this stuff out.
Mike and I talked about it, and he was all for it as well, so I began
the process of getting this old tape transferred into a digital
format."

While there was a bit of repair work and mastering done by Bruce and
producer/engineer Jeremy Rubolino to the tape to get it up to digital
standards, no overdubs or new music were recorded. The "KKB" sessions
appear on the CD exactly as they were recorded.

"Oddly enough, even though this was recorded in 1974, it's right in
line with some of the more 'analog' music that's come out in the last
few years...bands like Wolfmother and the White Stripes who go for
that vintage sound and feel," marvels Kulick. "But, beyond all of
that, I just felt, after talking to everyone who heard it, that this
music still had relevance, and it stands on its own."

KKB - 1974 is available on Compact Disc directly from Bruce Kulick in
a strictly limited hand-signed and numbered edition.

-Saint: CRIME SCENE EARTH

Saint plowed into the world of metal in the mid '80s with their debut
independent EP WARRIORS OF THE SON. Their next two international
releases put out on Pure Metal, TIMES END ('86) and TOO LATE FOR
LIVING ('88), although quite underground it set them up to becoming a
foundational name in the world of metal. Influenced by Judas Priest,
Black Sabbath, MSG, Dokken and Accept, Saint became a band known for
its gutsy true metal. The Seattle band released another more
commercial CD called THE PERFECT LIFE after a break. In 2004 Saint
made a true comeback putting out a project which reached deep into
their roots called THE MARK. The CD, based on the book of Revelations,
was hailed by many as one of the best in the band's history.

Now what you are about to hold in your hand is the accumulation of
almost 25 years of playing, performing and recording -- the 2008 CD
CRIME SCENE EARTH. The band is currently made up of original bass
player Richard Lynch and vocalist Josh Kramer. Dee Harrington, the
prominent guitar player from some of the best years joined them here
as well. Also playing on CRIME SCENE EARTH are Larry London on drums
and Jerry Johnson on guitar. The theme is simple: "Humanity has fallen
short over and over again throughout history." The music: well over an
hour of everything we love about real metal including a highly intense
and remarkable remake of the Judas Priest classic "Invader." Saint
proves once again they have what it takes!!!

-New Stuff From Radiant!

Hi there!

How are you doing? We at Radiant hope you are well and extremely
blessed this day.

NEW INNER CIRCLE DVD

We want to let you know about Neal's current Inner Circle release
titled, Neal Morse - FROM THE VIDEO VAULT DVD. This is incredible!
It's an hour and 40 minutes long and features Mike Portnoy, Nick D'
Virgilio and Alan Morse.

Here's what Neal said about it:

"I'm really excited about this new IC DVD. I sent a bunch of old video
tapes (and I mean old...like one from 1981!) to your fellow IC member
Martin Kornick and he put together a great DVD for you all. It's got
some really good stuff on it, as well as some hilarious things. It
starts with the whole first set of the TESTIMONY gig in Metuchen NJ
shot by Martin from the side of the stage. The next bit is a song with
a band that my brother Al and I were in from 1981. We sound terrible
but you gotta see me with my skin tight pants and Leif Garrett hair!
Most people would bury that thing and never let anyone get anywhere
near it. Me, I send it out to you! Then there is a video of me lip
syncing the song 'Since I Let You Go' in 1985. After that the Neal
Morse band with horn section playing a few tunes in Santa Monica in
'86. The funniest part for me is the Burlesque promo video. This is
unbelievable. I was in a cover band called Burlesque in Orange County,
CA for many years and this is the video we made in '89 to try and get
more gigs. Get a load of the Elvis impersonator. Incredible. At the
end there is footage from the IT'S NOT TOO LATE sessions that I had
never seen. I'm not even sure where Martin found it. Really cool
footage of Nick and I tracking 'The Change' and 'Oh Angie' in the
studio. I hope you enjoy it."

The only way to get this rare DVD is to sign up for the Inner Circle
by May 15th. SIGN UP NOW! To sign up, just go to
http://www.nealmorse.com/ , click on the Inner Circle banner and
follow the instructions.

THE SOLA SCRIPTURA AND BEYOND DVD IS COMING!

The release date is June 24 so pre-sales will start soon. Special

-Jethro Tull Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary

The 40th Anniversary of Jethro Tull is upon us this year -- 2008. The
group, which is made up of front man/flutist/guitarist Ian Anderson,
guitarist Martin Barre, drummer Doane Perry, keyboardist John O'Hara,
and bassist David Goodier is in the midst of a variety of tour dates
that include Europe, the U.K., the Middle East and North America...

Anderson says the group will choose its set list, "to a large extent
from the first few albums but with a some representative songs from
the '80s and the '90s, too. Songs and tunes which defined the early
Jethro Tull from blues band to eclectic, pre-prog inventiveness."

But he says that this year he plans "to visit a few less places than
last year. I already have some time set aside for studio work and
lazing about in the garden."

The 90 shows between April and December, with which will include 11 in
the United States, will be updated on the band's Web site,
http://www.jethrotull.com/ .

While there are no new recordings available in 2008, there are a few
historical releases scheduled over the next months, including a live
DVD collection of perfomances in Germany, a newly produced DVD
documentary and history of Jethro Tull, which Anderson says will
feature the contributions of most past band members, friends and
associates as well as live performances from a multitude of sources
over the years. Contributions include reference information from many
fans and liner notes from the group's original bassist Jeffrey
Hammond-Hammond. The artwork features a painting by Jeffrey depicting
Blackpool, the town where Anderson, Hammond, drummer Barriemore Barlow
and keyboard player John Evan formed a band in 1964.

On June 10, Capitol/EMI Records is re-releasing the group's first
album, THIS WAS as a two-CD and digital release of a re-mastered and
expanded Collectors' Edition of the Tull's 1968 debut album, THIS WAS.
This release presents, for the first time on CD, the album's original
mono mix as well as a new stereo mix of the album. Also featured are
nine related 1968 recordings for John Peel's BBC Radio program, "Top
Gear," plus four rare 1968 U.K. singles: "Sunshine Day," "Song For
John Gee," "Love Story" and "A Christmas Song." The commemorative
package includes 35 tracks in all, as well as package notes and
anecdotes from Jethro Tull's members.

On May 20, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Jethro Tull's JACK IN
THE GREEN: LIVE IN GERMANY, an enticing DVD compendium of in-concert
rarities [running time: 96 minutes] spanning the years 1970 to 1993.

Jethro Tull have carved out a musical niche all their own with a
career that has spanned over three decades. Selling over 60 million
albums including AQUALUNG, THICK AS A BRICK and STAND UP; albums which
have offered up Classic Rock radio staples "Locomotive Breath" and
"Aqualung." The band has played over 2,500 concerts around the world
and helped define a unique blend of acoustic and electric music that
draws influences from the world's music, including Asian, Jazz,
Classical and Folk.

As live performers, Jethro Tull are unparalleled. Famous for
instrumental virtuosity and theatrical flair, Jethro Tull live is an
event that welcomes longtime fans and new converts alike.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- On their debut full-length album, GENERATION Y ME,
Oklahoma City's theSyndikut deliver a power pop masterpiece that
crosses the likes of Cheap Trick, Hedley and The Marvelous 3 (Butch
Walker even gets a namecheck on "Live My Life").

The band was formed in 2006 by three animated characters going by the
names The Boliep, Pierce and Smackey (a.k.a. Billy Stevens, Mike
Pierce and Kyle St. Clair from OKC glam kings Erotic Suicide), and the
goal was "to write 'hit songs' and nothing but," says The Boliep. "By
'hit songs' I mean catchy as f*ck, in your face, over the top melodic
pop songs. If they actually become hits then all the better! My
writing is heavily influenced by Butch Walker in his M3 and debut solo
album period so if you like that you'll probably like us."

Not historically known for being a rock hotbed Oklahoma has exploded
in recent years with the likes of the All American Rejects and Hinder
and theSyndikut look set to keep things rolling with GENERATION Y ME.
Songs such as "The Other Side," "Soundtrack Of Your Life," first
single "Innernet Luvin" and the title track all provide an escape from
everyday life as well as a bit of lighthearted humour and, of course,
the undeniable songwriting.

GENERATION Y ME is out now and available on iTunes and other download
sites through WTO Records / Zero Music Group.

-Mongrel Marks Its Territory With FEAR, LIES, AND PROPAGANDA

Rock n' roll circa 2008 is becoming an increasingly predictable
affair. So whenever a new band comes along that refuses to be aligned
to a single style, it certainly makes the ears perk up. Case in point,
the eastern Massachusetts-based quintet, Mongrel. Freshly signed to
Screaming Ferret Wreckords, the lads -- which includes singer Drew
Barker, guitarists Adam Savage and Andrew X, bassist Rev, and drummer
Ed Loguercio -- are aiming to leave their mark with a newly re-
released version of their debut full-length, FEAR, LIES, AND
PROPAGANDA.

"Recording FEAR, LIES, AND PROPAGANDA was a very busy but rewarding
time," recalls the group's leader and main songwriter, Savage.
"Mongrel doesn't really know how to take time off, so during the
period of time we were recording, mixing, mastering, we were also
playing 6-10 shows a month as well. Our nights off from shows more
often than not meant an afternoon and/or evening in the studio to do
some tracking, over-dubs, or mixing whenever the studio was available
over a couple months time. The great thing was that despite the busy
schedule, no matter who was at the studio on a given night doing some
work we always were productive and had a lot of fun and a lot of
laughs, including our engineer."

Balancing old school punk intensity and energy with hard rock hooks
and riffs (and also including elements of grunge and metal), FEAR,
LIES, AND PROPAGANDA captures a hungry, young rock band ready to take
on the world, as evidenced by such standout tracks as "Bound To
Crash," "Dyslexic Alchemist (F*cked It All Away)," "No Gods, No
Masters," and especially "West Memphis Hell," the latter of which
focuses on the highly controversial West Memphis 3 case (on which the
"Paradise Lost" documentaries were based).

But the album is only part of the equation, as a Mongrel concert is
certainly an unforgettable experience, admits Savage. "Once we're on
stage, it's no holds barred with the always possible risk of injury
with four people up front in near constant motion. It's high energy,
intense, and fun, interactive with the crowd, we love it when the
crowd sings along and allows us to feed off that energy between the
performance and the people up front. Fans can expect a band that is
always willing to hang out and chat because we're all music fans too
and are always eager to talk to the bands that we love so it is very
important for us to interact with anyone who wants to at our shows."

Despite FEAR, LIES, AND PROPAGANDA causing some major waves, Mongrel
is already keeping an eye on their future. "We are looking to tour
more extensively both here in the U.S. and with any luck in Europe as
well. We are looking to record and release our next full-length album
within the next year, with most of it already written and tested out
live. Continuing to build upon our strong work ethic and strong
connection with our fans, spreading the word, getting more media
exposure, and hopefully never resorting to using the cliché 'Our new
album is heavier yet more melodic.'"

-Mess Änger: Daisy Berkowitz (Marilyn Manson) To Debut As New
Guitarist For Mess Änger At NYC Showcase At Arlene's Grocery May 22

With "Angry Little Angel," The Debut Single From Mess' Upcoming Debut
BLACK HOUSE MESS, Getting Big Spins At Active Rock Radio, The
Spiritual, Makeup Wearing Warrior Puts South Florida Back On The
Raging Hard Rock Map

Back in the early to mid-90s, South Florida was rockin' heavy with the
rage of Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids, a vibe that ultimately
infected the whole Sunshine State as bands like Creed, Matchbox Twenty
and underground favorites The Genitorturers were making waves.

The scene around Miami has been kinda tame on the rock side in the
2000s with the dominance of dance, Latin and reggaeton music, but
glam/goth rocker Mess Änger ( http://www.myspace.com/messangerrock )
is blasting through the fluff with a cathartic tour through the
darkness on his mission to "put a nice big scar" on the map of the
Southeastern U.S. Well known already for his explosive performances
throughout Miami and in New York and New Orleans, the deeply
spiritual, makeup wearing singer/songwriter -- whose debut album BLACK
HOUSE MESS is set for an August release -- now has another secret
weapon at his disposal: guitarist Scott Putesky, a.k.a. Daisy
Berkowitz, founding guitarist of Marilyn Manson who left that band
under mysterious circumstances during the recording of the famed
ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR album.

If anyone can give Florida rock a much needed resurrection, it's the
combination of the blistering newcomer Mess and the legendary rocker
named after Daisy Duke and serial killer David Berkowitz. Mess is
currently enjoying significant success on Active Rock radio stations
across the U.S. with his hard-charging debut single "Angry Little
Angel"; the song's video is a popular view on his MySpace page as
well.

Putesky makes his debut with Mess Änger's band, which also includes
longtime members Edward Ona (bass) and Spyder Monky (drums) on
Thursday, May 22 at Arlene's Grocery in New York City. The Arlene's
Grocery showcase will be streamed live at http://www.musikville.com/
on May 22 at 11 p.m. ET. They're also scheduled to play Miami's
Cultura Festival on May 30.

In 2004, Putesky caused a stir when he released LUNCH BOXES & CHOKLIT
COWS, a collection of early Spooky Kids recordings he won the rights
to after a much publicized lawsuit he won against former partner in
crime Marilyn Manson. The recording was released by Empire MusicWerks/
Universal.

"This is a good chance for Daisy and I to help each other and bring
South Florida back into the game," says Mess. "We met through my
manager John Tovar who used to manage Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids
back in the day. I'd been auditioning a series of psycho guitar
players with no luck and was excited that he wanted to join us and
play some jamming stuff. I thought I was going to be overpowered by
his presence, but he's just a mellow, nice guy under that hard image.
Together, we want to bring back rock the way it used to be, and win
over kids who can appreciate real music and not just what the major
labels tell them is cool."

-Date Change: Urban Gothic Recording Artist Eternal Descent Teams With
David Chang, Jason Metcalf & Javier Tartaglia To Release Limited
Edition Disc

Multi-talented musician Llexi Leon to release "Phantom Of The Opera"
single with bonus tracks June 10

LONDON, U.K. -- Eternal Descent's Llexi Leon will collaborate with
David Chang (Stamping Ground, Earthtone9, Gorretted, Panic Cell) on
co-production/mixing, and Jason Metcalf (DC Comics) on pencils and
inks along with Javier Tartaglia on colors for the artwork, to release
a Limited Edition of the single "Phantom Of The Opera" on June 10,
2008 through Incendium Records. The single will also feature
previously unreleased instrumental bonus tracks. The "Phantom" single
artwork depicts Eternal Descent characters Loki and Lyra taking on the
roles of the Phantom and Christine. The release will contain bonus
tracks which will be available with the artwork via digital download
once physical stocks are depleted. The title track will also be
distributed freely as a stand alone MP3 for a short period of time.

The "Phantom Of The Opera" single is a taste of things to come from
the new Eternal Descent album and comic slated for an August, 2008
release, and will be the first time characters other than Lyra are
given vocal parts on an album.

Eternal Descent's 2007 release LOSING FAITH continues to see
significant success with the media and has been hailed as one of the
best concept albums on the market. WCH Radio named the track "Our Own
Devils" from LOSING FAITH as one of the Top 30 songs of 2007.

Eternal Descent's sound weaves elements of metal, industrial, ambient
and experimental music fused with romantic filmscore arrangements.
Using cutting edge cinematic sound effects, narrative lyrics and
fusions of styles from ethereal soundscapes to crushing metal, the aim
of this project is to integrate comic book visuals and animation
within an album style series of releases. LOSING FAITH is the first in
this series. Going one step further than simply creating a soundtrack
to the comic, the audio will include narrative style lyrics and quotes
from the scripts, along with dynamic sound effects and orchestration
to accurately portray events and atmospheres within the story. Each
track represents a comic book, and the album is split into three
chapters of four tracks. Each chapter will be released as a four-issue
mini-series in comic book format. The first comic to be released will
be an issue #0 preview, giving depth to the main characters and
providing a backstory and timeline for the album. Music videos are
also being created in animation format to bring pivotal events of the
story to life in an anime style.

Character explanation:

Lyra: Main female character as depicted on the album cover. The lyrics
of the CD narrate the story from her point of view. Lyra is an
entirely fictional character. While vocalist Elysha West performs her
parts "in character," Lyra is not actually based on Elysha; however,
there is a cameo character in the comic book that is.

Sirian: Main male character as depicted on the album back cover/on the
disc itself. "Sirian is somewhat based on myself," remarks Llexi Leon,
the creator of Eternal Descent. "He has a similar fashion sense,
build, and wields an accurate rendition of the main guitar used for
the Eternal Descent recordings. If I could be a hero, I would be
Sirian. His guitar solos are all very different, and are performed
with his actions and the storyline in mind."

Loki: Sirian's nemesis and the main villain character, also based on
Llexi Leon, and in the original designs, looked very much like him.
"As the saying goes, 'I am my own worst enemy,'" adds Leon. "He is a
manifestation of my negativity and my darker sense of humour." On the
CD, Loki is represented by raw and dissonant guitar parts, which give
a sense of eerie unease or aggression, depending on the situation.

Musicians:

Llexi Leon: Main instrument; Guitar, secondary; Piano/Violin. Writes &
performs all instruments on record; also writes vocal melodies/lyrics.

Elysha West: Vocalist (performs improvised vocal solos as well as pre-
written material)

Keefe West: programming drums/bass and coproducer

Artists:

Llexi Leon: Basic concept artwork, storyboards, character design/
creation

Jason Metcalf: Pencils + Inks on Eternal Descent comics and "Phantom"
single artwork. Talented and versatile artist has worked on Image
comics titles such as "The Darkness" and "Magdelena"

Javier Tartaglia: Eternal Descent colourist, has provided stunning
colouring work for many top Marvel comics titles.

Alp Altiner: Concept art collaboration. Award-winning visual effects
artist, has worked on all the "Fantastic 4," "Spider-Man" and "X-Men"
movies, and has worked as a pencil artist for Marvel, DC and Image
comics.

"Blond": Concept art collaboration, has provided stunning colouring
work for many top titles, such as "Ghost Rider," "X-Men," "City Of
Heroes," and "Witchblade"

LOSING FAITH is available at Amazon.com, CD Baby, and iTunes.

-Mediaskare Signs Endwell, To Release EP REVENGE IS A HEALTHY MOTIVE
May 27th

Mediaskare is proud to announce the addition of Queens, NY's Endwell
to its ever-growing roster of genre pushing bands. The first release
from the band through Mediaskare will be a five-song EP titled REVENGE
IS A HEALTHY MOTIVE, which will be available exclusively via iTunes
and specialty shops on May 27th and at the band's live shows beginning
May 25th. The tracks "Mike Tyson" and "Sympathy For All Sufferers"
from the EP can be listened to on the band's MySpace page located at
http://www.myspace.com/endwell .

The band had the following to say about signing with Mediaskare:

"WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE CHOICE WEVE MADE! We originally met
Baron in L.A. when we were recording our last album and have kept in
touch with him since...we got an all around great feeling for the
label while we were on tour with our boys in As Blood Runs Black and
there is no one we would rather be family with! Once we had these
songs written and had started thinking of labels to shop to we knew we
needed a solid label with a dedication to hardcore and underground
music...cuz face it, we've changed. When you're playing a style of
music for a few years and then a main songwriter decided to leave, it
gives you many options to explore. Basically we just wanted to make a
record that was hard emotionally and musically. We wanted to write an
album that we could enjoy and that made us feel like we did when we
started playing hardcore when we were little kids. When we wrote
HOMELAND it was as if that was our job, we got the call that we were
going to be in the studio with a big time producer in four weeks and
bang! We had a mission to accomplish and we were in Danny's garage
seven days a week for almost four full weeks just writing as many
riffs and melodies as we could, there was really no 'passion' behind
it except for the fact that we had just gotten signed and we knew we
had to write an album. All in all it was an amazing experience we
wouldn't trade for the world. BUT shortly after HOMELAND came out we
were sick of it, nobody wanted to play the songs, they just didn't
have enough balls so the whole thing became stale. This time around we
had months...and some of us had actual jobs and we wrote because it
was fun, not because someone was waving an advance and a deadline in
our faces. we would get together jam out all get in the same mindset
and the riffs and songs just came out... so we want to thank Baron &
Mediaskare for taking us under his wing and standing behind our
passion 110%"

The band is currently preparing to hit the road beginning May 25th as
a part of the "Mosh Lives Tour" with Emmure, On Broken Wings, Recon,
and After The Burial. Following that, they will team up with Means for
a tour through Canada. Also recently confirmed is a trek with label
mates The Ghost Inside and friends Stray From The Path. Dates for that
tour will be announced shortly.

-I got a Borders e-mail coupon (40% off all CDs) and made the rash
decision to actually *attempt* to buy the new Dokken disc, LIGHTNING
STRIKES AGAIN, at my local Borders on Tuesday night. It was the first
time I went shopping on "opening day" for an album in quite a while.
So I dragged the family with me in the car, and of course the store
didn't have any copies of the disc. I was quite shocked, though, when
I asked the late teens/early 20s clerk for help and she not only knew
of Dokken, but she actually said "they're a great band!" Then it was
off to the nearby Best Buy, and of course they didn't have it in stock
either. The guy looked it up on the computer -- after I had to spell
out D-O-K-K-E-N for him -- and determined that of the dozen or so Best
Buys within a 30-mile radius of my area, only like three of them even
had ONE copy in stock. Sulking away with my tail between my legs, I
was determined to buy SOMETHING, dammit. I saw the new Def Leppard
disc in the "new release" section and grabbed it, despite the $12.99
price tag. It's good and all (though a tad short at under 40 minutes),
but I can't get past the cringe-inducing title -- SONGS FROM THE
SPARKLE LOUNGE -- and the fact that I really wanted some new Dokken. I
even had my 3-year-old saying "rockin' with Dokken" all night. Oh
well. Disappointing.

-My friends Bill, Jeff, and Brian alerted me to some fun 'net stuff:

-Okay, so it's not as cool as the Ronnie the dillweed one, but have
you seen the AT&T commercial with Meat Loaf? It goofs on his song
"Paradise By The Dashboard Light" and even features a cameo by '80s
teen queen Tiffany, as Meat's leg of lamb-toting wife. And the kid
playing his son almost steals the show with some great "heavy metal
faces."

-Now in my current playlist: Def Leppard - SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE
LOUNGE (Bludgeon Riffola/Island), Helloween - KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS
- THE LEGACY WORLD TOUR 2005/2006 - LIVE IN SAO PAULO (SPV), Heart Of
Sun - s/t (Nightmare Records), Emir Hot - SEVDAH METAL (Lion Music).

DOMINICI - O3 A TRILOGY - PART 3 (A-) Inside Out Music, 2008

Original Dream Theater vocalist Charlie Dominici has been fronting his
own band since 2005 when the first part of the TRILOGY series was
released, now completed with the excellent O3 A TRILOGY - PART 3. One
of the things frequently off-putting about prog metal (including
Charlie's old outfit) is their tendency to cram too much into the
arrangements, the pieces often too clever for their own good. O3 A
TRILOGY - PART 3 is a great example of how to keep things interesting
by knowing what to leave out. Almost from start to finish we get
powerful metal along with the expected musical chops. Mr. Dominici
certainly knew what he was doing when he assembled his band, as it
would be difficult to find a tighter outfit. Drummer Yan Maillard gets
to show his considerable talents often, as does brother Brian Maillard
on guitar, bassist Riccardo Atzeni and keyboardist Americo Rigoldi. So
good are these guys that I would actually have enjoyed hearing more of
their virtuoso displays, although I think you'll find they are hardly
restrained on this killer offering. Crank up "King Of Terror," "Liquid
Lightning," "Revelation," or "Genesis" to hear some of the best riffs,
solos and songwriting from any melodic/traditional/prog metal unit
currently making the rounds. Charlie has a unique voice that I
personally like quite a bit, but I must say for some it may take
awhile to warm up to. O3 A TRILOGY - PART 3 took me several good spins
to thoroughly get into but I have found that these are often the best
albums in the long run. I know I'll be listening to this one all
summer, and I recommend it highly to those who prefer plenty of metal
along with those adroit progressive elements...
