-Michael Kiske And Place Vendome Unveil STREETS OF FIRE

TRENTON, N.J. -- Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release
of the highly anticipated second album from Place Vendome entitled
STREETS OF FIRE.

During the winter of 2004 former Helloween singer Michael Kiske, whose
voice is still regarded as one of the most fascinating of the whole of
rock, accepted an invitation to be part of a melodic rock concept by
Frontiers Records' President Serafino Perugino. The resulting Place
Vendome debut album brought Kiske back to a more straight-ahead and
rock sound, still very accessible and melodic and far from the heavy
metal stereotypes of blood, violence, and hate from which Kiske
decided to move away. He collaborated for the first time with Pink
Cream 69's Dennis Ward, Kosta Zafiriou, and Uwe Reitenauer, with
Gunther Werno (Vanden Plas) on keyboards.

In Kiske's view, "Without Serafino Perugino offering me this Place
Vendome project, I would probably never have sung a few of the musical
styles on there up to this day (also in terms of lyrics), because my
own songwriting is different. But I have found it interesting to do
exactly because of that reason. It's like playing roles or testing
possibilities. To sing songs you did not write has its own quality:
you can learn something you otherwise probably wouldn't and get a
chance to look beyond your own borders. AOR won't 'revolutionize' our
music-world these days, but it is certainly fun to sing and people
seemed to have enjoyed the first Place Vendome a lot. It did pretty
well and also received surprisingly good reviews all over the world."

The very favorable reviews of the first Place Vendome album planted
the seeds for a second recording, which was recorded during 2008. The
songs this time were supplied by different songwriters, particularly
motivated and enthusiastic to be part of this new album. Torsti Spoof
(Leverage) offered "Dancer," "Changes," "Believer," and the title
track "Streets Of Fire." Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon and
songwriter for Primal Fear) wrote "Surrender Your Soul," "Completely
Breathless," and "A Scene in Replay," while Robert Sall (Work of Art,
W.E.T) supplied "Follow Me" and "Valerie." The production and the
musicians' team have remained unchanged with Ward, Zafiriou,
Reitenauer, and Werno supplying all the necessary musicianship and
skill to make this new album a success.

"This second one appears to be even more AOR for my ears," said Kiske.
"It was also (again) very interesting for me to see how different a
song sounded after I did the vocals. When Serafino sent me the songs
one by one as demos, I sometimes secretly thought, 'OK, nice tune,
painless and sweet, but it could also be a bit better.' But after I
did the vocals and Dennis Ward produced it in his own way with his
guys, that impression changed and I am always surprised at how good it
actually turns out in the end! This shows once more the importance of
'HOW' we do things."

A promo video clip for the song "My Guardian Angel" (written by Magnus
Karlsson) is included as a special interactive bonus on the album and
marks Kiske's visual return on the scene after years of a self-imposed
exile.

STREETS OF FIRE final track listing includes: "Streets Of Fire," "My
Guardian Angel," "Completely Breathless," "Follow Me," "Set Me Free,"
"Believer," "Valerie," "A Scene In Replay," "Changes," "Surrender Your
Soul," "Dancer," "I'd Die For You," "My Guardian Angel" (bonus video).

-Sunstorm Builds A HOUSE OF DREAMS On New Frontiers Release

TRENTON, N.J. -- Frontiers Records is proud to announce the release
for the second Sunstorm album, HOUSE OF DREAMS.

This AOR masterpiece, featuring former Rainbow, Malmsteen, and Deep
Purple vocalist Joe Lynn Turner, will be out in America on May 19 via
Frontiers/Super D and in Japan on King Records.

The first Sunstorm album saw the light of day in 2006 when Turner
accepted Frontiers President Serafino Perugino's concept to blow the
dust off from some potential AOR hit songs that Turner had writtern
for the aborted follow-up to his 1985 solo debut RESCUE YOU. It turned
out to be one of the most successful, straight-ahead melodic rock
releases of 2006. Jim Peterik (ex-Survivor, Pride Of Lions) supplied
additional tracks and the album was rounded off with some other AOR
classics picked by Turner and Perugino.

The stunning production, courtesy of Pink Cream 69's studio wizard
Dennis Ward, was hailed as one of the highlights and key factors to
the album's success. When the second release was being planned, it was
a natural choice to ask Ward to be a part of the project again. This
time, he played bass and sang background vocals. He also enlisted Uwe
Reitenauer and Thorsten Koehne on guitars, Chris Schmidt on drums, and
Gunter Werno on keyboards.

Once again, Turner dug deep into the archives and found some classy
melodic rock gems to resurrect. One of the highlights that might sound
familiar to fans is "I Found Love," a song that Turner often used to
open up his concerts on the RESCUE YOU tour. There's also "Forever
Now" and "Save A Place In Your Heart," where another AOR cult hero,
Paul Sabu, appears among the writing credits.

Perugino also asked Turner to finally release "his" version of the
amazing ballad "Walk On" that Turner co-wrote with Desmond Child
(Kiss, Bon Jovi, etc.) for the Jimmy Barnes album FREIGHT TRAIN HEART
in 1987. Additionally, Jim Peterik was called in to offer his talents
to Sunstorm once again. The results include "Tears On The Pages" -- a
tune co-written by Jon Lind and Russ Ballard. Peterik also contributed
"Say You Will" and "Gutters Of Gold." Brothers Tom and James Martin
(House Of Lords, Khymera) wrote the remaining tracks and were able to
capture the spirit and quality of songs expected from the Sunstorm
project.

Turner, who recently returned from a tour of Russia with Over The
Rainbow, is excited about the release of HOUSE OF DREAMS. "Once again,
Serafino and the staff at Frontiers have proved that they know how to
cater to melodic rock fans," he said. "I am glad that they believed in
the Sunstorm concept enough to get behind the release of a second
album. There are plenty of people all over the world that love this
genre of music and I still enjoy making it. It's also invigorating and
rewarding to be able to sing some of these songs that I co-wrote or
performed in the '80s that never had a chance to be released properly.
Jim Peterik came through again with incredible tracks -- well
structured with compelling lyrics and melody changes. The Martin
brothers also brought in some songs that will probably translate
great, live, and that the fans will really enjoy."

Sunstorm's HOUSE OF DREAMS is a real "must have" for all JLT lovers
and a stunning release for all melodic rock fans.

Final track listing includes: "Divided," "Don't Give Up," "The Spirit
Inside," "I Found Love," "Say You Will," Gutters Of Gold," "Save A
Place In Your Heart," "Forever Now," "Tears On The Pages," "House Of
Dreams," and "Walk On."

-Doro: FEAR NO EVIL Tour In December Of 2009

Exclusive early-bird-rebate at Metaltix

For about 25 years Doro is rocking through the world of Rock and still
hasn't lost her passion about music which is proven by her anniversary
show last year in Düsseldorf or by her latest 10th album from this
year. And now she is going to be back on stage to present her new opus
FEAR NO EVIL at the end of the year.

When Dorothee Pesch made the decision to become a female rock-singer
in the early '80s she entered a male-sphere. As one of the first women
ever she dares the step in a genre, where the role of women was
limited on idolizing the male rock stars up to that point. And of
course many men are convinced that this is the right thing. But Doro
isn't irritated by that fact, founds her own band and goes her way.
Step by step she fights herself through prejudices and barriers and
because of her convincingly character she reaps the first respect.
With her band Warlock she is an internationally successfull and well
noticed act at the end of the '80s. A lot of women model themselves on
Doro and also become singers in a rock band. Rock music with female
vocals has become presentable because of Doro. And of course it is not
a men-only world anymore. Until today Doro savors vast respect --
since the early '90s she makes music under the name of Doro. She has
made a pretty self-confident career, without loosing her cordiality.

Militancy was very important for her at all times, likewise her
modesty. Doro never was in need of getting attention by scandals. On a
healthy way she lives her tour-life, she makes work-outs and she keeps
herself in form with Thai-Kickboxing. Also she likes to get involved
with weak people. In 2005 she stood up against the suffering of fur
bearing animals in a PETA campaign. Doro is a strong woman, and also
many strong women belong to her circle of friends, for example Regina
Halmich, Boxing world champion. In spite of her power, Doro is a
pretty emotional human being. The death of her father 10 years ago
still makes her sad. Until today she is writing pretty personal songs
about that topic. And even more: Because of Doro also the hard Rock
fans have learned that showing emotions doesn't mean weakness.

In December Doro is on tour with her band across Germany and
Switzerland for 8 shows:

FRI 11.12.2009 - GER - Hamburg Große Freiheit 36
SAT 12.12.2009 - GER - Berlin Postbahnhof
SUN 13.12.2009 - GER - Dortmund FZW
TUE 15.12.2009 - GER - München Backstage Werk
WED 16.12.2009 - GER - Stuttgart Longhorn

Exclusively for her fans there will be an early-bird rebate of 20 %*
at Metaltix.

Tickets for only 22.30 € dues inclusive will be available for you
between May the 18th and May the 25th by phone at: 04627-183880 or at:

-Hardline "Leaves The End Open" On New Frontiers Release

TRENTON, N.J. -- Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release
of the long awaited new Hardline album entitled LEAVING THE END OPEN.

Hardline was formed when brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitar)
Gioeli, originally from the band Brunette, teamed with guitarist Neal
Schon (Journey). Signed by MCA as soon as Schon left Bad English, with
the addition of Todd Jensen (David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper) on bass and
Deen Castronovo (also coming from Bad English and later on with
Journey) on drums, the band went on to record their debut DOUBLE
ECLIPSE for MCA in 1992 and then went on the tour circuit with such
heavy hitters as Van Halen and Mr. Big.

While never popular in the mainstream, Hardline's album became
immediately very popular among the hard rock fraternity and is still
today regarded as one of the finest efforts of the decade. However, by
that time grunge and alternative styles had already taken over and
melodic rock was being pushed aside. Tension among band members, the
record company, and perhaps certain egos, got in the way of an
immediate follow-up album, despite the band having written more than
enough material.

Years later Johnny (who meanwhile gathered vast recognition signing
for the German axe hero Axel Rudi Pell) and his brother Joey decided
to give it another go with Hardline after the call of Frontiers
Records, and with an all new lineup they produced the awesome return
album II in 2002, with Josh Ramos (of The Storm and Two Fires fame)
taking Neal Schon's place on lead guitar.

Hailed by critics and fans alike as a top-class return, the band
returned on stage headlining the Gods Festival in Bradford in June
2002. Since then all band members worked on different projects.
"Everyday life can sometimes step in and throw you off balance," said
Johnny Gioeli. "This was the case for the big delay. I just had to put
it aside and make sure I was ready for the task at hand. I'm not sure
of where the future will bring me, hence the title LEAVING THE END
OPEN. I don't want to plan anymore, I just want to see where life
takes me."

Johnny and Josh Ramos started to work on new Hardline songs in 2006.
With a renewed lineup now featuring Johnny Gioeli on vocals and Josh
Ramos on all guitars, with Michael T. Ross on keyboards, Jamie Brown
on bass, and Atma Anur on drums, Hardline are now back where they left
off, producing a killer new album LEAVING THE END OPEN, chock full of
killer guitar riffs, amazing hook lines and heartfelt ballad sealed
with Gioeli's incredible vocals and the band's instrumental prowess.
In Johnny Gioeli's words, "LEAVING THE END OPEN has a nice mix of
flavors. Take 'Voices,' its power, its positive feeling, it puts me in
an 'I can do anything mood.' Or 'Start Again,' purely radio. Everyone
on this record shines!"

Final track listing for LEAVING THE END OPEN includes: "Voices,"
"Falling Free," "Start Again," "Pieces Of Puzzles," "Bittersweet,"
"She Sleeps In Madness," "In This Moment," "Give In To This Love,"
"Before This," "Hole In My Head," and "Leaving The End Open."

"Today's worldwide economy has made it so difficult for artists to get
out on the road and share the music with the fans," Johnny said. "Our
fans do not go unnoticed...we will do everything possible to play
shows and demonstrate the power this lineup has."

-Sweden Rock Festival: Another Attendance Record!

3-4-5-6 June 2009 Solvesborg

For the ninth consecutive year, Sweden Rock Festival makes an
attendance record! Last year's festival turned out to be the biggest
in Swedish history with 33,200 visitors. With two weeks left until the
festival of 2009, beginning on the June 3, it is now definitive that
this year's event will be even bigger!

Sweden Rock Festival started out under the name Summer Festival in
Olofström, Blekinge as early as 1992, moved to Karlshamn in 1993 and
then assumed the name Karlshamn Rock Festival. When the festival
outgrew its residence in Folkets Park (People's Park), Karlshamn we
moved it further to the small village of Norje in the county of
Solvesborg, and renamed it Sweden Rock Festival. Since 2001 the
festival has broke its own attendance record every year, and our
amazing and devoted audience has thus proven once again that hard
rock, in all its shapes and forms, is bigger than ever.

There are still some 3-day tickets left, and a limited number of 1-day
tickets for June 5, but after that all tickets are out.

Milan Polak - MURPHY'S LAW
Released June 19th 2009
LMC265
EAN6419922002650

Check out the new album teaser video clip at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV07o3YAPZ0 .

Lion Music is pleased to announce the release of the new Milan Polak
album MURPHY'S LAW.

After two instrumental releases Milan Polak released his first vocal
album STRAIGHT in 2007. Now two years on MURPHY'S LAW is the perfect
extension of its predecessor with a more modern sound, heavier, less
bluesy, more guitar (e.g. "Murphy's Law"), more progressive (e.g.
"Sheeple," "The Mystery Of Life"), more choirs & backing vocals (e.g.
"Inner Truth") and even some oriental sounds (e.g. "No God," "Inner
Truth") and a great representation of an artist that is delivering
music true to his soul and ideals in life.

MURPHY'S LAW is an accessible album full of strong vocal hooks, great
guitar work and mature song writing from one of Europe's most in
demand session musicians who is now forging his own fan base.

Lyrically the album deals with social issues, mass media manipulation
and other issues of modern day life (e.g. "Wannabes," "Alien Nation,"
"Sheeple") being the main overriding factor influencing Milan's work.
On his aim with the album Milan comments, "The goal was to create a
killer album with melodic, heavy modern songs that appeal to both
consumers of that genre and musicians."

On his fellow band mates on the release Milan beams, "Fabio Trentini
who played all the basses this time also co-produced the album. He has
several platinum & gold records and added his knowledge & experience.
Simon Michael (drummer of Subway To Sally) added the right mix of
technical & musical modern drumming, it's a great band and I'm
delighted to be playing with them."

The creative process behind MURPHY'S LAW began 18 months ago with
Milan recording the basic guitar tracks in his home studio before
sending them to Fabio Trentini. The pair then went about furbishing
the songs in Fabio's studio. By this time Milan had a detailed picture
of each and every song resulting in the recording of guitars and
vocals happening in a productive three-week period. Schedules of the
albums other personnel meant the album took longer to complete than
originally planned, but the freshness of the main creative process of
the album is readily apparent for all to hear on MURPHY'S LAW.

Z Rock 09: All Pre-show Work Done And More

Well we've reached the point where only a few small things are left to
take care of and they will be done this week. All the bands are happy,
we've even decided to bring in extra fx and lighting and we are flying
in our top notch sound engineer so this will be a show to remember.

This year also sees the return of our Z Rock Merch; we will have a
festival shirt and Z Records baseball shirts available at the event.

Tickets are still available so if you haven't got yours don't
delay!!!!!

Sadly Lec Zorn won't be with us. Part of the deal was that he got
himself to England [English backing band] but right now Lec does not
have a flight so two or three days ago he bowed out as the costs where
through the roof. Obviously we added Dan Reed when we thought there
was a problem with Von Groove -- who are as everyone knows still with
us and looking forward to the show -- so a stronger eight-band bill is
all in stone, settled and ready to rock in two weeks time. :O) We wish
Lec well and he knows the doors open in the future.

This year's show is as follows:

Tickets are priced at £30 day 1 [£33 in door] and £47.50 day 2 [£55 on

-AFM Records Update

The New Black - THE NEW BLACK
Release Date: June 2, 2009

Recently signed to AFM, The New Black will release their self-titled
debut this June. Featuring former members of Sinner, Runamok,
Abandoned or MCF, The New Black plays rock. Real rock; real heavy with
all the requisite hooks, leads and riffs galore. Singer Fludid has
been compared to "Zakk Wylde, James Hetfield and Phil Anselmo" (Rock
Hard) and "sometimes even Mike Patton in a 'sane' state of mind"
(Metal Hammer). The screams, the roaring, the harmonies, they're all
there, but most importantly, the guy can actually sing. Add to this
shredding guitars, a well-developed sense of melody and a professional
work ethic, and you get a solid piece of metallic rock. Fans of Thin
Lizzy and Black Label Society, beware. Said Canada's BW&BK magazine:
"[This is] The Real Thing as opposed to the often disposable Next Big
Thing. The New Black makes it on sheer over-the-top delivery and very
obvious love for the simple rock-driven life." Germany's Guitar took
note of the "assured sense of style and passion," while Metal Hammer
simply stated: "Whoever said that bands can't form their own sound
anymore these days, should listen to this -- and then shut up!"

In Related News: Various U.S. and European radio stations picked up on
The New Black, and the band -- unsigned at the time -- was asked to
write the title track for an American road movie called "Ballad Of
Broken Angels." (Check out the video of the same name here:

Ram - LIGHTBRINGER
Release Date: June 19, 2009

AFM is proud to announce the signing of Gothenburg, Sweden-based
traditional heavy metal troupe Ram. Featuring Morgan Pettersson, a
former member of Swedish crossover metallers B-Thong, the band's
second album, LIGHTBRINGER, is scheduled for release on June 19. A
darker, more concept-oriented record than their more straightforward
debut, LIGHTBRINGER features guest vocals from E of Swedish black
metal overlords Watain, Mexican poet Adelaida Caballero and and the
band's longest song ever in "Suomussalmi (The Few Of Iron)," a Ram-
epic based on the 1939 battle at Suomussalmi during the Finnish Winter
War. The 10-track disc was produced by Johan Reivén (Transport
League). Check out "Awakening The Chimaera," (featuring Watain's E) on

OUT NOW!

Shakra - EVEREST

The follow-up to 2007's critically-acclaimed INFECTED offering, Swiss
hard-rockers Shakra unleash EVEREST. Featuring 12 tracks of powerful,
passionate hard rock anthems that sound modern without denying
tradition. Said Lords Of Metal, "EVEREST is a logical step in Shakra's
path, but more than that an appealing and honest hard rock album...
Those who have a heart for melodic hard rock and heavy metal and the
ones who can't get enough of Edguy's last album, should definitely
give this album a shot." Check out the video for "Why" at the band's
MySpace page.

Tankard - THIRST

Beer-soaked German thrash legends Tankard recently released THIRST
stateside to riotous applause. The album was produced again by band
friend Andy Classen at his Stage One Studio. A video clip for "Stay
Thirsty" will appear on the limited edition of the record. Formed in
1982 in the boiler room of the Matthäus Church, Frankfurt/Main,
Tankard first took the stage in 1983. In 1984 they released the first
demo and two years later cult record ZOMBIE ATTACK (Noise). The self-
proclaimed "most ugly band in Germany" would move on to a worldwide
musical crusade to implement the German Purity Law of 1516. James
Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are said to have commented on the band
following a bar-hopping mission through Manhattan (and before deciding
on an official name): "Hey, you guys sound like a mix of Tank and
Discharge." Later, German language magazine Stern, in an article about
the subculture of heavy metal wrote, "their music sounds like a train
laden with beer tankards... derailed!" Whatever the case, and from
whomever the quote, there's little doubt that Tankard are indeed the
founders of "Alcoholic Metal" and for that they are proud. Said
Decibel magazine in a recent review of THIRST: "These Krauts love beer
and fart jokes and zombies and they beat Municipal Waste to he whole
'party thrash' thing by a good 20 years AND they do it well..."

Elvenking - TWO TRAGEDY POETS (...AND A CARAVAN OF WEIRD FIGURES)

TWO TRAGEDY POETS (...AND A CARAVAN OF WEIRD FIGURES) is the latest
acoustic album from Italian power/folk metallers Elvenking. Said the
band in a statement: "The [making of] the acoustic album... was a hell
of a ride... but in the end we reached the goal and we're here... You
can expect something unique, that's for sure! This album is an
experiment for us; a journey in a world that was waiting to be
explored." Since 1997, Elvenking have been an active part of the
European scene and have built a rapidly growing and cult fan-base
which has seen them perform with ex Skyclad/Sabbat singer Martin
Walkyier in the U.K. at Bloodstock Festival (in 2002) and around
Europe in both their home country and Budapest where a strong set at
the Sziget gathering one year had people talking for months. The band
release the excellent HEATHENREEL debut in 2001, but this was only the
beginning. Spreading mystic tales of fantasy and imagination to a
wider audience, this album was awarded Album Of The Month in many
magazines and proved that their mixture of epic power metal and frisky
folk was capable of instantly grabbing attention. The band would
release three more records, each more exceptional than the last. TWO
TRAGEDY POETS (...AND A CARAVAN OF WEIRD FIGURES) finds Elvenking
exploring uncharted waters in a way only Elvenking can.

Magica - WOLVES & WITCHES

Romanian female-fronted symphonic metallers Magica are back with the
stunning WOLVES & WITCHES. Their fourth full-length and second release
for AFM, Magica continue to transcend the boundaries of melodic power
metal with poise and precision. Classically trained vocalist Ana
Mladinovici -- whose impressive resume includes time with the Marea
Neagra philharmonic orchestra -- dominates the record with her
enchanting words while remaining bandmates -- guitarist Bogdan Costea,
keyboardist 6 Fingers, bassist Sorin and drummer Hertz -- provide the
complimentary headbanging brawn to bring it all to life. For fans of
Nightwish, Edenbridge and After Forever.

Exilia - MY OWN ARMY

Newly signed to AFM, female-fronted Italian modern metal act Exilia
recently released fourth full-length MY OWN ARMY to North American
shores. "This album is the heaviest record since the birth of Exilia,"
said striking front woman Masha Mismane, in a statement. "We managed
to unleash even more hidden talents of our great guitarist Alien and
with the return of our great drummer Ale, there is no lack of power!
After a lot of hard work on melodies and lyrics, I'm also very pleased
with the outcome of my vocals. There are definitely unique elements
within every song. I wanted to give them an edge whilst maintaining
the original and true characteristics of Exilia. Rock on!" The album
was produced by Dave Chavarri (Ill Nino, Sepultura) and Masha Mysmane,
mixed at Temple Studios in L.A. by Jeremy Blair (Fear Factory, Coal
Chamber, Guns N' Roses) and Jeff Hannanh (Black Light Burns) and
mastered at Sterling Sound in N.Y. by UE Nastasi (Walls Of Jericho,
Pantera).

Ektomorf - WHAT DOESN'T KILL ME...

Hungarian modern metallers Ektomorf's latest studio album WHAT DOESN'T
KILL ME... is the first Ektomorf release on AFM Records. "This signing
is a great new chapter in the band's career and we are very happy
about it," said founder/front man Zoltán Farkas. Ektomorf formed in
1993 in Mezökovacsházak, Hungary, a small city near the Romanian
border, by Zoltán "Zoli" Farkas. Today, Zoli is the sole original
member. The band is completed by guitarist Tamás Schrottner, bassist
Szabolcs Murvai and drummer Jozsef Szakács. In 2003, the band joined
forces with Danish producer Tue Madsen who helped the band find its
sound. Ektomorf's cutting lyrics revolve around Zoli's gypsy
background and explore the horrors of discrimination, pain and anger.
Their music combines the tenets of primal gypsy music with modern
metal elements: Groovy, down-tuned guitar riffs and aggressive drums,
supplemented by raw screaming vocals. Three years after their
fantastic 2006 OUTCAST album (lauded on European soil as one of the
most important neo thrash/hardcore releases of the year), Ektomorf
return with an album more potent than anything prior. Walls will fall,
borders will crash and once again under the guidance of producer Tue
Madsen.

-Robert Berry's THE DIVIDING LINE Out Today In America

TRENTON, N.J. -- Frontiers Records is excited to announce the
beginning of the cooperation with multi-talented artist Robert Berry
with the release of his brand new solo album THE DIVIDING LINE, out
today in America.

Berry's abilities came into prominence in 1988, when he teamed with
Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer (of ELP fame) and formed the band Three,
releasing the album TO THE POWER OF THREE for Geffen Records. He was,
however, one of the most well known musical talents in the San
Francisco area and was previously involved with the band Hush, and
later with another '80s super group GTR. Together with former Yes
guitarist Steve Howe (taking the place of none other than ex-Genesis
guitarist Steve Hackett), he wrote and recorded several tracks that
sadly have never been officially released by the band, which split
before the recording of the second album (one of those songs appears
for the first time on this new album).

During the '90s Berry kept busy composing, arranging, and performing
either as a solo artist (he has released three solo albums, with
PILGRIMAGE TO A POINT particularly being considered a true melodic
prog rock masterpiece of its era) or as a producer-session player. He
also toured for years with the band Ambrosia, where he took the place
of another rock giant, David Pack.

In 2008 his band Alliance (together with members of Boston, Sammy
Hagar, and Night Ranger) released its critically acclaimed third
album, ROAD TO HEAVEN. "There is a difference between the music I
create on my own and the music that I do with Alliance," Berry said.
"The Alliance lyrics are mostly about life and relationships. And the
music is classic American rock. But my solo efforts are based more on
my years spent in Europe. They have a more intricate structure and
production."

An award winning producer and multi-instrumentalist, Berry has always
displayed an uncanny knack for great melodies and exquisite playing,
either in the classic progressive rock style or in a more melodic rock
oriented musical environment.

"It has been some time since I put my self out to the public with a
solo effort," said Berry. "I have grown, I have matured musically and
lyrically. I am so honored for the chance to do what I love and share
it with the listeners."

Recorded during the year 2008, THE DIVIDING LINE stylistically leans
towards timeless melodic rock, in the vein of what Berry has been
playing and composing for Three and GTR. "I wrote this note to myself
as to what I would like this album to be," said Berry. "The note was,
'Music with vision, power, intensity, integrity and hope. About
healing from the inside out. THE DIVIDING LINE.' THE DIVIDING LINE
based on my inner hope that I remain the person I have set out to be.
Also, musically this album is based on the style I love most. And as I
listen back, that is exactly how it came out."

The song themes deal with life, love, and human relationships and show
the most personal side of Berry's artistry and vision. All in all an
exciting and revealing release that should not be missed by any
serious rock music fan.

THE DIVIDING LINE track listing includes: "The Dividing Line," "One
Good Man," "Listen To The People," "Faith," "This Life," "A Life Worth
Livin'," "Can't Let Go," "I Gave You The Best Of Me," "Young Hearts,"
"Wait," and "Life Is On Fire."

-Music Manager Andy Gould Of Spectacle Entertainment Signs On
Atlanta-Based Rock Band Death On Two Wheels

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Atlanta-based rock band Death On Two Wheels --
featuring Trae Vedder - lead vocals, guitar, Andrew Knox - organ,
piano, Paul Doss - lead guitar, David Fountain - bass, Greg Neel -
drums -- have been scouted and signed by the celebrated music industry
veteran Andy Gould, best known for working with Pantera, Rob Zombie,
Guns N' Roses, and Morrissey.

Death On Two Wheels first caught Gould's attention, while they were
lighting up the south with a series of breakout shows. Blown away by
the band's un-ignorable live performance, he immediately signed them.
"We are so excited to be representing Death On Two Wheels," states
Gould. "It's exciting to once again be working with a rockin', hard
working indie band that is ready for their moment in the spotlight --
Reminds me of the days when you'd sign crowd-winning, budding
superstars out of tiny clubs, instead of out of rehearsal studios and
off TV talent shows."

The band has opened for a number of notable acts including Janelle
Monae, Butch Walker, Norma Jean and Manchester Orchestra. They took
SXSW by storm this year, playing four showcases and getting noticed by
mainstream media. The band is now busy gearing up for the release of
SEPARATION OF CHURCH & FATE -- produced and mixed by Matt Malpass
(Manchester Orchestra, Reliant K) and John Travis (Kid Rock, Social
Distortion).

Death On Two Wheels is a diverse rock group blasting through the
membrane of trendiness on the way to something truly audacious and
authentic. The songs alone have quickly driven this band to "next big
thing out of Atlanta" status. Given the talent, ambition and
resourcefulness of Death On Two Wheels you ain't heard nothin' yet!

-Hibria: New Album, Video And Asian Tour

The Brazilian metallers of Hibria released their second album,
entitled THE SKULL COLLECTORS. The effort, released in Asian territory
by Spiritual Beast and in Europe by Remedy Records, was mixed and
mastered by Achim Köhler, producer who already worked with metal acts

responsible of the classic Primal Fear's DEVIL'S GROUND.

On this album Hibria presents lyrics that explore the path crossed by
a man who achieves his dream on becoming an air force pilot but later
on, leaded by his ambition and vanity, joins a mercenary group. He
then loses a partner in a trap set up by a rival group and becomes
charged for that. Dominated by his wish for revenge, he falls into
self-destruction meanwhile he is confined in a bunker with his past
remembrances.

"Cruise Ship Terror," the new video from New Jersey's thrashing
pirates Swashbuckle, can be viewed here:

The track comes off the band's Nuclear Blast debut, BACK TO THE NOOSE,
which is scheduled for release on July 24, 2009 (Europe) and on August
11, 2009 (North America).

Commented the band: "Arrg, legendary metal music video director David
Brodsky (Kataklysm, Arsis, The Black Dahlia Murder) by chance caught
us pirates in the act of looting and pillaging a fine vessel along the
seas of the Atlantic. With nary a chance of escape, David bartered

our nautical pilferings."

-Spider Rockets' Newest Release Unleashed Digitally On May 19th,
N.Y.C. Date Supporting Duff McKagan The Same Day!

Crafting a sound that pushes the line between elegance and aggression,
New Jersey-based Spider Rockets has completed work on a self-titled
release that is a follow-up to 2007's buzz-worthy EVER AFTER.
Comprised of band members Helena Cos on vocals, Johnny Nap on lead
guitar, Bones Hackett on bass guitar and Dan Prestup on drums, Spider
Rockets has built a large and loyal fan base on the strength of a
must-see live show which has seen the group open for many renowned
national acts.

SPIDER ROCKETS will be released on Tuesday, May 19th digitally through
iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, emusic, Amazon, Best Buy, Puretracks, FYE
and other digital portals. The same day, the group will open for Duff
McKagan's Loaded at the Gramercy Theater in N.Y.C. (the Spider
Rockets' set time is 8:00 - 8:30 p.m.).

"We recorded with Eric Rachel at Trax East in New Jersey," explains
Helena about the sessions that comprise SPIDER ROCKETS. "It was pretty
stressful as we knew we had a lot to accomplish and were on the clock
for all of it with a lot of concentration on every instrument and each
layer of sound." The result is an impressively consistent release from
beginning to end, which showcases the quartet's trademark modern rock
sound that manages to be both melodic and muscular. "This one has been
well planned and thought out as collaboration between the musicians
and the engineer," adds Bones. "Every song can hook you in just as
much as the last. I don't feel like there is any filler content at all
on this album." Johnny adds "I think the quality of the recording and
the music on this CD has taken us to a new place as a band and I'm
very excited about it." Dan agrees "it was a phenomenal experience
working with Eric. I feel between us and him in the studio, some great
stuff happened."

But according to Helena, there are already some new tracks that are
her favorites. "I really like the chorus on the song 'Kiss You Dead.'
It's strong and the subject: love and hate makes it compelling.
'Disease' has a catchy main riff -- how it starts at beginning of the
song, launches into the chorus and the energy that builds up to the
end. 'Let It Go' has a twisting, flowing feel that pulls you in -- it
shows a different side of us, the guitar and bass bring this song to a
different place with a cool Middle Eastern vibe." Johnny adds, "yeah,
I really like 'Predator' -- it has a such a hypnotic verse that
propels the song really well into a driving chorus." Dan includes,
"one of my favorites is 'Everything.' It has such a cool dark energy
to it and I love the melody."

As with their past releases, the group plan to tour heavily behind
SPIDER ROCKETS, with Bones confirming that "fans can always expect a
tight energetic show from us. Simply put, we are in our element when
on stage." With the new album already quite an impressive
accomplishment, somehow, even greater things seem in store for Spider
Rockets.

-GG Allin And Tesco Vee Limited-Edition Figures To Be Released By
Aggronautix

Aggronautix is set to release limited-edition figures of GG Allin
"1991" (2,000 numbered) and Tesco Vee of the Meatmen (1,000 numbered).
Each "Throbblehead" figure stands at 7 inches tall, is made of a
lightweight polyresin, and will be displayed in a tri-windowed box.

Both figures will be distributed by MVD Entertainment Group -- a
company specializing in music-related distribution since 1986 -- and
DKE Toys -- a wholesale distributor of urban / vinyl / designer art /
objects / toys / figurines.

"We normally don't carry bobbleheads but I was floored that the folks
at Aggronautix would attempt this project," said Dov Kelemer CEO of
DKE Toys. "I figured that if I broke down and made an exception to
actually put this (anti-)bobblehead in my collection that others would
feel the same. GG Allin... WTF!?!?!?!"

The idea first surfaced two years ago when Aggronautix pitched the GG
figure idea to Merle Allin, GG's brother.

"I had been thinking about doing a GG figure for a while, so when the
guys came to me with the idea, I was into it," said Allin. "The
proofing process took a long time, but we got it right. The doll looks
really good and I'm happy with it."

Aggronautix soon discovered another likely personality to
polyresinate, Tesco Vee. He states, "As a toy collector of two
decades, and classic bobble head collector, imagine just how geeked I
became, when informed that yours truly would enter the pantheon of
'Throbblehead' punk rock losers, along with poopy soulmate GG Allin!"

The figures are now available for purchase on
http://www.aggronautix.com/ and http://www.seeofsound.com/ will soon
be available at many independent retailers, comic shops, tattoo
parlors, etc.

Aggronautix is currently working on a Dwarves "Two-Headed Throbble" to
be released this summer.

-Gasp! Shock!! OMG!!! Adam "The Rock God" Lambert DIDN'T win "American
Idol" last night. Yawn. Actually, I was surprised because of *all* the
hype the guy had going. In case you somehow missed hearing about it,
during last night's finale Lambert sang Kiss' "Beth" solo and then the
band emerged in full makeup and stage show to perform a duet with him
on a "Detroit Rock City"/"Rock And Roll All Nite" medley. It was darn
cool seeing all the sparks, pyro, and smoke on that stage, along with
Gene Simmons sporting the always-awesome axe bass and Paul Stanley
smashing up a guitar. Elsewhere in the show various contestants sang
with Carlos Santana on "Black Magic Woman" and Queen on "We Are The
Champions." The show had some genuinely funny moments, too. But back
to Lambert... I saw a bit in the Chicago Tribune last week about Queen
possibly needing a new singer now that Paul Rodgers is gone, and the
author jokingly(?) suggested Lambert. Then last night Lambert did a
pretty good job with his part of "We Are The Champions." Hmm... Oh
yeah, one more funny "Idol" thing -- they briefly showed actor Anthony
"Hannibal Lecter" Hopkins in the crowd, and then this morning I saw
this newspaper headline: "Silence Of The Lambert." Good stuff.

-Be sure to check out that Ace Frehley site, and particularly
http://www.acefrehley.com/rocket-rides/ . It's got several video
clips, including some solo band live footage from '92, guitar solos
from the Kiss reunion era, and -- surprisingly (to me anyway) -- a
two-part segment on the making of Frehley's Comet delightfully cheesy
"Insane" video. Vintage.

-Bittersweet... I was very happy to get that e-mail about Enertia's
return from bassist Joe Paciolla, but it sucks to hear the next album
will also be the band's last. <sigh>

-Okay, *one* last "Idol" bit... One random crowd shot showed Heather
Locklear in the audience. She still looks fabulous. <double sigh>

-In my current playlist: Alestorm - BLACK SAILS AT MIDNIGHT (Napalm
Records), UFO - THE VISITOR (SPV/Steamhammer), Spheric Universe
Experience - UNREAL (Sensory), Slough Feg - APE UPRISING! (Cruz Del
Sur Music).

JUDGE JACKSON (B-) Curtis Joe Records, 2007
10 tracks, RT: 37:12
[ judgejacksonband@... ]
Los Angeles-based Judge Jackson has been around since 1995, and they
have a lot to show for 13 years of work, including an award from All
Access Magazine's Music Awards. They have a strong fan base and busy
tour schedule, traveling as far east as Indiana. The band played the
annual Sturgis bike rally in 2006 and plays the Laughlin River Run
this year. People will be taking notice of Judge Jackson soon if they
haven't already; this band's music is playing nationwide on NBC ("My
Name Is Earl") and a version of their song "King" is now played by
Speed Channel ("Victory Lane"). A visit to the band's MySpace page
will give you the opportunity to listen to songs with a heavier beat
and a slightly different style. However, Judge Jackson's self-titled,
2007 release has a very southern-rock flavor much like .38 Special
with an edge. In an online interview, lead singer Todd McTavish
mentions Lynyrd Skynyrd as an influence, which is also evident on this
CD. Along with McTavish, bassist Ryan Rogers and lead guitarist Lee
Jackson formed the band, and currently J.J. Garcia is banging drums.
Late on the CD is the standout track, "Rock N' Roll" with the best
beat and lyrics, followed by the ballad of the release "With You,"
which is a very mellow, sleepy track. The opener, "Stand Up" and
"Bandit" are also great tunes. The second track, "Grin," seems out of
place with the rest of the songs, with McTavish channeling a little
bit of Jesse James Dupree (Jackyl) with the sarcasm and vocal style.
My vote for weakest track would be "Hold My Hand," but I'm not a fan
of the harmonica used in this style. I might change my mind on that if
they chose to cut it from the song. This is the type of CD that will
grow on you as you listen, so if you are a fan of southern rock, check
out Judge Jackson.
