Bar staff at venue didn't even know about fire and were quite
un-apologetic about cancellation...........
Met other lovely Devanties though and had a good larf in downstairs

not good news as people will be turning up but I couldnt make it in the end
due to overspending at the fleadh and having to keep money for glasto so im
glad i'm not missing out. hope it is rescheduled and I will hopefully make

Grrrr - I'm quite annoyed, as I've just realised that my band is playing on
tuesday on our only gig until September - hence I can't go and see David Devant,
despite it being really easy for me to get to (for once)!

Same happens to me.. last couple of Gigs I've hung out with Mr
Peekaboo, Steph and Magenta from the www.devant.info messageboard,

Gutted!  I'm from Oxford but live oop north in warrington now and can't make
it!  Wheatsheaf and Chequers were my old hang outs (used to work in Chequers
10 years ago - eek!) can't believe Oxford Tuve costs £11, used to be £3 when
it first started, but it got me home from many a London gig when I couldn't
afford to stay in the smoke.  Really gutted I can't make the gig, but anyone
who's going, please have a drink on my behalf (and no, I'm not paying lol!)!

but i thought i'd be brave as I would love to go see DD&HSW when they play in
Oxford but all my mates are rubbish & won't come with me, so it would be ace to
meet up with people on the list so I don't look like a complete loner!

there is a really good bus company www.megabus.com & you can get to Oxford for

My friends and I went to the last oxford show - very
good i must say, bit sad they didnt do Cookie, but
'Thie Is For Real' was ace. Really wanted em to play
'Germaine greer'...but they didn't. Ho Hum. Gonna come
