The Dixie Chicks among the performers participating in
SHELTER FROM THE STORM: A CONCERT FOR THE GULF COAST last
night, which was televised on multiple networks all across
the world. The Chicks performed a single anti-war song,
called "I Hope." Although not announced anywhere, it
appears to have been written by the Chicks.
Strangely enough, only Emily played an instrument, which
was a Telecaster electric guitar. They were accompanied
by what appeared to be (in the dark shadows) a three piece
band of drums, electric bass, and pedal steel guitar.
Lloyd Maines did not accompany them, as New Jersey gospel
musician Robert Randolph was brought in for the job.
Video of the performance, as well as multiple video
