NEW MUSIC FROM THE DIXIE CHICKS ONLINE
If you're wondering where the Dixie Chicks have been, the
answer is, in the studio. They've been working with
producer Rick Rubin (best known in country circles for his
work with the late great Johnny Cash), on a new album.
And, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, they've offered up
a sneak peek of their sound, with a new song called "I
Hope." They debuted it during the recent multi-network
telethon, "Shelter From the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf
Coast." Now you can get a copy of the song, while also
helping Katrina victims. "I Hope" is available online as
an exclusive digital download, at Sony Connect, Rhapsody,
Yahoo!, Music Unlimited, SonyMusicStore.com, iTunes, MSN
and Napster. Co-written by the Dixie Chicks and blues
artist Keb' Mo', "I Hope" was recorded the night before
the September 9 telethon and features special guests
Robert Randolph on pedal steel guitar; and guitarist Mike
Campbell and keyboard player Benmont Tench, both of whom
are members of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
