I think Elby Designs already has something like this in development ->

Doepfer would add a module to the A-100 module list with the functionality of

hi all,

many people may have been given the wrong impression that i have abandoned my
Doepfer A100 modular, because i now have a Buchla 200e and a Serge....

that is totally wrong!

i still value my A100 as much as i did 11 years ago when i first started
building it! (that's why i still have more than 180 modules of A100...)

it is a fine system with very useful modules and has its own sound and
combines/works well with the Serge and Buchla. i use it in combi with all my
other modulars and use all my modulars as one big modular system.

the value of a modular system is only defined by the skill of the programmer and
by how much it fits the working style of this specific musician/programmer.

the A100 is a great value of money system that still have its own special
character!

thanks,
best regards,    :-)
Bakis.

Hi all,

Based on the stock of an on-line vendor (yes, of course we do have the A-197-2
in stock) I bought the Velleman VPS10 oscilloscoop. After six weeks and several
requests about the status of my order, I finally got the bad news today. Sorry,
we made an error. We didn't have it in stock, so we ordered at Doepfer. They
don't seem to make them anymore (yeah, I could have them that myself), so sorry,
we can't deliver. Have a nice day.
So now I have the scope, but no A-197-2...
If someone has one and is not using it, I would love to buy it.

Kind regards,

Ton

I took a look at our stock. We have one last A-197-2 kit left. Please ask
your dealer to order the unit for you.

Dear Dieter,

You absolutely made my day!
I'll ask my dealer,

He seems a bit unresponsive at the moment though (holidays perhaps) so I hope
you'll keep it in reservation for me. I'll ask him to put name (Ton Akveld) on
the order.

Thanks very much!

Hi there

I'd like to add reset/sync and maybe CV input jack sockets to my beloved A-143-3
quad LFO.
Could anyone please let me know where to connect these inputs on the PCBs, or
maybe supply me with schematics ?
It would help me saving investigation time.

Many thanks in advance for the help.

The A-143-3 circuit is very simple and based on the well-known
integrator/Schmitt trigger combo. It is not very easy to add a reset/sync to
this circuit and more complex than the main LFO circuit. One has to
discharge the capacitor very fast and to give the LFO a kick into a certain
direction (otherwise it would continue with the latest direction). And to
have available voltage control a totally different circuit is required.

But we are working on such a module (A-143-4 Quad VCLFO/VCO) but I don't
know when it will be available.

Best wishes

you need a voltage controlled gate delay. set the time to 1 step manually or
with a CV offset, then CV from either anothr row of the 155 or wherever.

No, It can't.

First possibility: VC Triggerdelay. You need an A-171 VC slew limiter
followed by an A-167 comparator (maybe the A-163 in OR-mode would work
as replacement for the A-167 too).

Second possibility: unsymetric (more than 50%) pulse wave with trigger
conversion.
Either: Use a A-110 or A-111 at very low frequency as clock and set the
pulsewidth not symmetric. Send this pulse through an A-165 trigger modifier.
Or: Use any LFO saw wave, send it through an A-167 comparator, and set
this to create an unsymetric pulse wave; again send this pulse wave
through an A-165 trigger modifier.

Third possibility: The A-154 would do everything you want.

How? Ok, it provides a voltage controlled gate length. But trigger
delay? The inverted out would provide always a gate with length until
the next straight note on... and that would be not wanted too.

use the inverted gate out of the a142 and then pass it thru an a165 trigger

Hi Florian,

one would need two A-142. Then you obtain the same functions a the A-162 but
with voltage control.

We are also working on a "real" voltage controlled gate delay module, i.e.
the complete gate signal (rising and falling edge) is delayed. A bit like an
audio delay but for gate signals. And as an option we think about an
independend delay time for the rising and falling edge of the gate signal.
The module is in a very early development state as we have to finish some
other modules (A-143-4 Quad VCLFO/VCO with Sync/Reset, A-192-2
CV/Gate-to-Midi/USB interface, A-190-5 polyphonic Midi/USB-to-CV/Gate
interface, 8x16 trigger sequencer, touch sensor module and some more).

Best wishes
Dieter

In any case a A-165 would convert the rising and the falling slope of a
Gate into single triggers. You do not have to use the inverted out.
So if the gate length is varied (by CV), then the distance of the two
triggers will vary with the gate length.

But I have to admit, that I don't like spending a sequencer row for
adjusting the swing.

Two other possibilities for getting swing without using the second row
of the A-155 come to my mind:

Feed the clock out of a A-154 into a A-160. Use the /2-output of the
A-160 and feed it back into the Clock-CV-input of the A-154. The CV
amount at the A-154 will control the swing factor.
