I subscribed about a month ago and I totally forgot about it!! I was
going to post something here last week but I never got around to it.

Duncan Sheik is one of the most fascinating artists I've ever known. I
don't know any other artist who even sounds remotely like him. The way
he just seems to be right there in the room having a conversation with
you when you play his music is nothing short of amazing. That is why,
for three years straight, I have put his CD's on to put myself to sleep
at night, because his voice is very comforting to me. I put the CD on
random play mode so I never know what song's going to play next! I
usually fall asleep after about three songs...but it's three different
ones every night so it's a real thrill. I thought my CD player was
possessed at one point when, four nights straight in a row, it started
with "Days Go By".

When Humming came along, I got it immediately, and I only gave myself
one listen to it during the daytime, just to slightly familiarize myself
with each track...after that, I would put the CD away and only play it
at night...so not only did I rarely even know which track number was
even playing, but I didn't know the titles of the songs either. This
helped me a lot in recognizing each song's individual beauty, without
having an actual "label" for it. Straight from the beginning, though, I
never forgot that the fourth song was "Alibi"..cuz that is one amazing
song right there. It's already a catchy little number, but those
strings dancing along in the background just add a total hypnotic feel
to it and if that song plays first at night, I'm usually asleep before
it even gets to the last chorus.

Oh well, I've jabbered on long enough. I don't know a whole lot in the
way of tours and new albums...but seeing Sheik in concert would be a
dream come true.

Hi Timothy, Well it's really nice to hear from someone else who loves D.S.'s music. I discovered "Humming" quite by accident and soon fell in love with (most...
