The band boosters will hold a special meeting on Monday, May 11 at 7:00 pm in the band room. The purpose of this meeting is to install officers in the positions of President, Vice President and Secretary. A treasurer has been selected for the 2009-10 school year.
As a parent run booster organization we are tasked with maintaining officers in key roles to effectively support the needs of the marching band program. We provide financial support and manpower where the band staff has requested our assistance. Without parents supporting the program, the marching band will be at a loss. Please, don't think if you don't say yes to helping that someone else will step up. We really do need YOUR help and your child will appreciate what you do to support them and provide in a way that takes some of the burden off the students and staff.
Families with a marching band member currently in 9th, 10th or 11th grade should have received a letter at home this week about our current needs for volunteers due to the number of parent volunteers leaving with their graduating seniors. Please take the time to read the letter and contact Mr. Williams to participate as a parent volunteer this fall.
