Just a quick Ex-Rental update while we're busy working on the album...
Sean's been helping Richard X (aka Girls On Top, producer of the Sugababes'
recent chart-topper "Freak Like Me", etc) to compile a weird and wonderful
20-track CD of unreleased recordings from the 1970s by electronic legends
The Human League.
Sean's also written the sleeve notes for the album, which should be released
on Richard's Black Melody label in late September, preceded by a limited
edition 12" at the end of August. More details in the Rock 'N' Roll section
at http://blindyouth.com if you like the sound of this...
Also, it looks as though we'll be releasing "Lovesick" on a new Toyracer 7"
EP later this year, which should co-star synthpop duo Vic Twenty and two
other bands.
Both Ex-Rental and Vic Twenty will also appear on a new compilation CD soon,
along with other up-and-coming groups, including Schmoof, Riviera, Meanwhile
Back In Communist Russia, Motormark and Ciccone. Our contribution to the CD
will be a slightly improved mix of "Sophie's Audition", so watch this space
- it should be a good compilation...
Finally, if you live anywhere near Winchester in Hampshire, keep Saturday
28th September free! More details soon...
