Hello again...

According to certain calendars, Saturday 21st June is the first day of
summer, which sounds like a good reason to follow the advice of T.Rex's
final single, "Celebrate Summer"...

So, to celebrate, Ex-Rental will be playing a short live set at Rough
Trade's "RoTa" event at Notting Hill Arts Club this Saturday... and
admission is completely free!

I'll be accompanied by keyboard player/vocalist Jess Simonon and we should
be onstage at around 6pm, just before the rather wonderful headliners Now
(http://www.nownow.info). The event runs from 4pm to 8pm, and there'll be
further live music from Electric Bubblegum Arkestra and Yuhi Nakano, plus DJ
sets from Leon of Radio 9 and Kosmische.

The Ex-Rental set could be a little shambolic (we only found out about the
show this week and we've barely rehearsed together!)... but hey, that's rock
'n' roll! Or just plain foolishness... anyway, you can find more details

After the show, you're all invited to the re-launch of the super-eclectic
"Woofers 'N' Tweeters" night at The Net Bar, 38 Hanway Street (near
Tottenham Court Road tube station). Doors are from 9pm-3am, admission is a
mere £3 and I'll be DJ-ing with former Ex-Rentalist Lucy from around 11pm.
