Just recently joined this group. I have been using a DX7IIFD since 1989, also an SY77 since 1991. I had several 4 op units before that, DX21, FB01, and TX81z....

If your old HP has USB ports (it should, my PC is even older than that!), then I can recommend the Midiman 2x2, which I am using with Sonar 2, it's very cheap...
