Then you are restricted to making sounds stright from the front panel of
your instrument, which is not too bad! I did that for a long time on my
DX7!!The only thing is what to do when you create a new sound, but have no
memory locations to store it into because it will overwrite a good sound you
want to keep! AAAGGHH!
Another alternitive is to get a cheap "hardware data storage" device like
the Alesis Data disc ( available used for less then 75.00) which will allow
you to store sounds.
However, I strongly urge you to look into getting your present computer to
where your music is. It will open new worlds. There is a large amount of
freeware/shareware to keep you going for a long time. Sequencers,
algorithmic generators, Sound editors, Tons of patches , ect ect
Another alternitive is to find a cheap ATARI 1040ST/ Ste/ Falcon/ TT030
computer ( goodwill, Ebay, ect) and use it just for MIDI work. Tons of free
software avilaible for it now.Winess my site:
