DEAR MARC, ANDREW, and LIST:
I agree with ANDREW'S comments.
I will search here in the NE to try and locate info.
I have seen the "FORMAT err" code usually applies on the DX7IIFD E! LCD
when the cart is damaged or the internal code is corrupted, also when
trying to write to a dx7 ram which can't be loaded from the DX7IIFD, the
ADP-1 only allows reading the smaller cart.
MARC, I don't have any mk1 aftermarket rams left. I sold the smaller
carts. Sorry you acquired a ram that might be faulty.
I believe you have the YAMAHA DX7II model synthesizer also.
I do have DX7II larger size ram carts, an MSI aftermarket 256K, 4 bank
RAM left, all tested. It's not a 10 bank, but if it will help I would be
happy to send it out to you. You constantly do so much to help us, we
would like to return the favor.
FYI: I know I also have a SYNTHTRONICS, 4 bank 256K RAM and a
SYNTHTRONICS 64K one bank RAM.
Hope you all are well, and VERY BEST WISHES,
Pete
