Tx81z Service Manual and V1.6 of the Tx81z ROM.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #744 of 1199 |
Dear Fellow FM and YBB users,

As many of you know, I have a long history of buying service manuals, scanning them, and sharing the out, for free, to all my friends in the field of FM Synthesis.

Unlike many vendors online, I have never asked for money for providing these documents, except for people who have wanted the Dx7IIFD master schematic, which is very large, and I've asked for the money to get it plan photocopied and posted to them, rounding up to the nearest dollar or two to at least cover my bus fare across to the place where I have to get that done.

I have ordered the Tx81z service manual, this has cost me 36 Australian dollars (that's about $30US at the moment). A few people have expressed in the past that they would be happy to one day chip in a few dollars for service manuals. In the past, I have not accepted these offers, because it hasn't cost me that much to get them. However, I've said that there may one day be a time .....

 Now is that time!

If you'd like to help, If you've ever acquired one of my scans of service manuals (noted with tags either ReverseEngineers or Koba no Gomi or similar), Please paypal me a few dollars to loscha@...

In return, you get nothing special. I will be sharing these document with everyone for free, the same as always. I will be sharing out the most updated version of the operating system, 1.6 for free, the same as always.

I am happy to pitch in a few dollars of my own -- but, I don't even own a Tx81z. I'm paying, up front, for all you guys out there that have expressed they wished they had the service manual for this fine machine.

I haven't been well the last few days, which is why I haven't had time to get back home and read the Tx81z rom into a chip reader and share that around.

So, please, don't make me feel like a public service announcement asking for money. If I don't get money for the Tx81z schematic, well, I'll still be sharing it around, but, it's going to make money very tight for me for the next few weeks. I'm on sickness benefits from the government, and that doesn't go as far as it should.
I only need a few people to donate 2 or 3 dollars each to make this happen.

Please, paypal to Loscha@...

(if I get more than $36, I will be listing what other service manuals I can order and we'll work towards that next -- if i get lots of money, I'll buy an A3 scanner!)

 Yours in Frequency Modulated friendship
Edward r Jones [aka Loscha]
