A list devoted to discussing all kinds of MUSIC that make you feel something. That special something on the inside that makes you happy, melancholy, horny. Makes you want to dance. Makes you want to cry. So I guess it's rather subjective. It will depend on what the listener/poster finds stimulating. Could be electronic like Aphex Twin, IDM, Warp Rephlex Skam Records. Could be house music, DJ tapes or going to clubs, raves, parties - whatever you want to call them. Grateful Dead (or JamBands like Phish & Dave Matthews Band). Movie scores. I am rather partial to the Conan The Barbarian soundtrack-have you heard it? Then don't laugh, it's very emotional. Maybe it's a great John Coltrane solo. Jazz, of any kind. Free, Bop, Swing, Standard. Does a great classical piece give you chills? Really, this list could be about almost any kind of music.
But I am sure some will be less appreciated than others. I am hoping that people reading this will understand and "feel" what I am getting at with this list. Richard D. James (The Aphex Twin and co-founder of Rephlex records) calls it "Braindance". Whatever YOU call it. I'd like to hear about it.
