Hi all,

Someone who is not on this List recently asked me to name DFD's top 5
recordings, and frankly, I didn't know how to answer. What would you
consider to be DFD's most significant recordings? I don't necessarily
mean favorites, but rather the recordings that he made that are most
important. These can be Lieder, opera, or concert.

Tell you what-- If you reply, give me two lists: your 5 favorite
recordings and the 5 that you consider to be most significant. That
would be both interesting and helpful. I'll post my own lists as soon
as I have had a chance to think about it.

Celia
