| Dear Friends, We wish you a hearty NEW YEAR from the Bushwackers. May it be your best year yet and... May you find that you CAN always get what you want. If there is one thing I'd like that would be for you to consider coming to the Floyd King the Bushwackers Wild West Show at Trinity House Theatre on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 8 pm. You might wonder why it is the 'Wild West' show? Is it because the Campfire Compadres are kicking off the show with songs and stories from old west days? Maybe. Is it because Bob Marshall will be there with his songs about small towns and small-town folk and cowboys and horses? Maybe that's part of the reason. Is it because we're all wearing chaps? No. Not all of us. (you can though) Is it because we will have real live bison on stage? No, we are not ZZ Top. ( If you listen closely you will hear some ZZ in a lot of my songs so maybe we ARE the ZZ Top of folk music. Minus the beards and bison.) Is it because Bob Marshall, Jack Ferguson of the Compadres and yours truly all are men of the earth and all have worked with horses? That's another part of the reason. (I was just old enough to walk when my father took me for one round of the field on the horse-drawn planter.) Maybe the operative word is "show." Because that is what we're bringing to the Trinity House Theatre on January 7.
