FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE...

In September 1995, the music world lost promising new band, For
Squirrels.

Jack Vigliatura, Bill White, and Tim Bender lost their lives in a van
accident while traveling back to their Gainesville, FL homes from a
gig at New York City's famed CBGB's. They were survived by
band
members Travis Tooke and Jack Greigo as well as by their families and
countless friends and fans. This tragedy happened on the eve of the
release of their 550/Sony Music debut. That CD, Example, went on to
Soundscan over 117,000 units and spawned the college radio hit,
Mighty KC.

Seven years later, the web is still a meeting place for fans of the
band. Burns of the first For Squirrels disc, Baypath Rd, have been
available on-line for a donation to a music charity. And now, a
tribute CD called Milk From A Fountain is in the works. The title is
part of a lyric from Example track, Disenchanted.

This project has been organized by fan and friend Scott Williams with
the help of the fansite www.forsquirrels.net . What began as a web-
only project is growing, by word-of-mouth, into a much larger
proposition. Submissions of cover versions from both For
Squirrels'
albums as well as non-album tracks are being accepted in any format.

Initially, the CD was intended to be available only on the internet
but Williams feels that with the right support from submitting bands
that it would not be out of the question to approach several indie
labels with the finished product. It is for this very reason that
press is now being sought for the project. Williams assumes there are
many fans who will contribute a track, it is only a matter of
reaching and informing them of the project. Awareness is the key to
this heartfelt tribute to a band that not many people people knew but
a lot of people loved.
