Cool. I will have to check it out. I don't dare check it out at the same
time I'm in my mail. Computer is too slow. My connection would probably
end. hehe.

Got it this time. Relaxing the Undertow is the other comp, it has Van Gogh
and Kill the Birds (cover) on it. One foot in the grove has Burning Coals.

One foot in the Grove is just a compilation I think. And it has either Van
Gogh on it and a cover of Kill the Birds by Mary Karlzen or it has Burning

Woo! I just got a copy of Plymouth in the mail.
The great thing is that I was able to just pop it in my CD player and
just absorb it. Although Jack V.'s voice sounds a little younger
than what I'm used to in Example, it still sounds great.
This will have to hold over my For Squirrels fix until I get Baypath
Road mailed to me in June.
I'm still trying to get the FS discography straighten out. As far as
I know, the only albums that there are, aside from show recordings,
are Baypath Road, Plymouth, One Foot in the Grove, and Example in
that order. Can anyone confirm this? Thanx...

Max Mooney (maxmooney@...) is willing to burn you a copy of
Baypath Rd for free in exchange for a donation to Sweet Relief
(www.sweetrelief.com), which is an non-profit organization that helps
out musicians during troubled times.....email him about it, as it is
not only for a good cause, its a lot cheaper than $100 on eBay :)
Or you can just post your comments/requests here and Max will read
it...

This site was spammed on a FS msg board. I went there and there is not
much. Just one clip of music. It is not labeled at all. It is an 80's
sounding song that is all lead guitar and no vocals. I'm asuming that since
it was spammed on a FS msg board that it may have something to do with them.
If anyone has any info, lemme know. Thanks -Josh

Yes, Max is completely trustworthy. I know that if any of you are like

Okay, here's the deal... I have lots of FS rarities including their first
demos and a recording of their first "real" live show... however, at present
I am willing to burn CD copies of Baypath Road with two bonus tracks for a
$10 donation to Sweet Relief (which is an organization that helps pay
medical bills for musicians)...
As I am moving in 6 days you can either, rush mail me a blank CD and a check
or money order for $10 made out to Sweet Relief... I pay the shipping back
to you...
if I receive it before Saturday, May 5, it will go out on Monday... if I
receive it after, the burn will not be done until May 31... but it will get
done...
As I was good friends with the band, I have never attempted to make money
off their stuff but have offered Baypath up with the knowledge that the
donations go to a charity they themselves would have supported... I, of
course, have no control over what someone then does with that copy but I
guess I hoped they would pass along my info to anyone else who wanted a copy
instead of using it for personal gain...
my e-mail is maxmooney@....
my mailing address (for now) is:

feel free to pass this info along to anyone that might be interested as well
as to all on the list...
thanks and sorry for being so huffy :)

I don't know how much of a For Squirrels fan I can be if I don't have Baypath Road or have ever heard it.
Does anyone all the tracks to it on mp3? I search on Napster every other day, but don't have much luck finding it. One day I found one person with all the tracks, but 2 of the tracks refused to transfer over :( If I'm lucky, I might be able to scrounge all the tracks together, but I would rather get them all from one source. Call me crazy, but I'd rather listen to a album that has tracks that are all the same volume :)
I've even tried getting the original on eBay, which usually winds up ending between $80 and $150....a little steep for me, but would be a really cool collector's piece for me :) ...but there hasn't been any up for auction for the past 2 months or so...
If anyone can get it for me, I'll be more than happy to put them up on a web site for everyone as well as Example and Never Bet the Devil Your Head.

Hey Max...
I had no idea there even was something like this. I would be more
than happy to make a donation, whether it be in exchange of a Baypath
Road CD or not.
I would like to bring it to your attention though, that the only
reason I requested this is because it is very difficult to obtain,
legally or not. I have been searching for about 2 years now in every
rare music shop I can find in the new york tri-state area. I can't
afford to put up $100 for an original on eBay, and I felt that
shouldn't be a reason why I couldn't enjoy this music. I suppose I
could have contacted Sony/550, but I don't think they could have
helped. Its been very frustrating trying to locate it. Anyway, it
doesn't matter...
My point is, if I knew about this, I wouldn't be asking for mp3s :)
Tell us what you are asking for a copy (if thats cool). I am more
than interested.
If you still want to unsubscribe, send a blank mail to ForSquirrels-
Subrosa-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. I regret seeing you go....Keep
the music alive :)
Sincerely,
Spamboy

The posting/emailing isn't that complex. When you write a post (as
you would a normal message board) or reply to an email that came from
the group, it goes to ForSquirrels-Subrosa@yahoogroups.com. From
there, the message gets added to the web-based board and gets emailed
out to everyone in this group....its a little quirky, but it works
good....little note: when writing a reply to a post through the web-
based interface, you have the choice of pointing the message privatly
to me (ForSquirrels-Subrosa-owner@yahoogroups.com), or privatly to
the person who wrote the mail, or publicly to the msg board itself
hope this helps...feel free to ask about anything else

Hmmm, Josh....something about that name I like...oh yeah! thats my
name too! whats funnier, is that when looking around other subrosa
sites, I came across "Talk is a Waste" (which is in the bookmarks)

me :)....anyways, which links don't work? this is the bookmarks
section, right? and yeah, this was started on the 25th(2 days ago).
I seemed to have started it out of some form of frustration. It was
while i was listening to Never Bet the Devil Your Head and something
made me feel like I should do something....something to contribute to
the community of fans of these two great bands. I'm not sure what I
intend to do, but doing this so far has made me happier already :)

Hey everyone! Welcome to this group thing I made! :)
I'm a big time fan of For Squirrels and Subrosa and I'm hoping that
this can become a hub for anyone looking for info, MP3s, pic, and
stuff like that. I'm new to this kinda thing, so suggestions are
more than welcome.
I've already added some bookmarks to some FS and Subrosa sites that
are worth visiting. I made some areas for MP3s, but i'm sure it'll
fill up quick, as they only give me 20 megs to play with. Guess I'll
have to find some hosting space somewhere that has more room to play
with.
So please, come in, and share what you will with everyone else. I
like them too much to let this thing go to waste. K, have fun!
