I just seen a wonderful picture of Freda Payne aged 13 when she won a
talent competition.....

The clipping states that Freada (sic) went to Hutchins Junior High
and she had been singing for 3 years.

Freda was 13 when she recorded 3 songs for Berry Gordy at United
Studios in Detroit....Save Me A Star, The Moon Rock, Applications For
Love (the DITS programme tells). (I seem to have a note of 4 titles!)

I am hoping to see Freda in Manchester on May 17 and I want to try
and show her this picture. I will post it after that date cos I
first need to show it to Freda and give her a message that goes with
the provider of the picture

Freda and Scherrie are two of my all time favourite
singers...everything that they do, I really enjoy.
