freda and the flos being at sunset junction brought me to silver lake
and saved me.  i am usually the type of person who always rides out
the hurricanes - meaning i stay until they blow over.  but because i
always wanted to see my freda, i came here.

Hi,

Freda will performing at The Pier in Redondo Beach on Sunday, August
14th at 6 pm.  Later on in the month, on Saturday, August 27th, she'll
be at the Sunset Junction Street Fair.  Freda will go on at 6:30 that
evening.

After Freda's show, the Former Ladies Of The Supremes will come on at
7:30.  Capping the night will be former Temptation Richard Street at
9:00.

To all you Freda fans I just ran across a new bio on her at
www.marstalent.com.  They mention her upcoming cd titled On the
Inside that is being produced by Preston Glass who did her Come See
About Me masterpiece.  It doesn't say when its supposed to be
released
but they have a really good write up on the gorgeous and talented
Freda. Check it out!

Freda's website is back up at (www.fredapayne.com).  It seems the
problems that knocked the site off have been taken care of.

WOW!  The promo photo you have of Freda is fantastic!!  I am a serious
collector of Freda Payne memorabillia (I was lucky enough to meet both
her and Jayne Kennedy a few years ago and interviewed them both for an
upcoming project).  I was interested in knowing whether you would be
interested in selling a copy of that photo?  If this is something you
wouldn't mind doing, just have a copy made at your local walgreens or
rite-aid or photo guy, and I would pay for the cost plus any added
profit you would like to make for your self.  Please let me know.

the 2-28-05 issue of Jet has a color photo of Freda & Scherrie,
taken at the Hollywood History Museum at a Black History Month
Celebration - pic posted in the Random Photos folder.  & thanks to
the person who posted all the other new pics there :-)

Uploaded a 1977 magazine interview with Freda, to the Files
section.

Invictus.  It's Your to Have from the very sexy album cover Payne and
Pleasure and Love Magnet charted on the R&B charts.  Also a few of
her songs were club hits.  Her two albums on Capital were more disco
orientated.  Also she charted on the R&B with In Motion in 1982 from
Sutra Records.  I wish they would put her albums after Invictus on
CD's one of these days.  She is my absoulute favorite singer.

Not fair!!! That'll be a wonderful show as the church is incredible.
Any idea if she is doing anything around august 20-30? as I'll be in town for
the street fair. Also Kevin, how is miguel? I have not heard from him in about 2
months, I just keep getting his answer machine.

I would love to put word out, Would anyone love see other music
artist do a tribute to the fabulous Freda Payne. I would to see
Scherrie Payne, Thelma Houston, Martha Reeves, to name a few singers
to sing the music of Freda to her as a tribute?.
I will definetely try to look into this. This Lady is awesome, she is
and has always been a phenomenal performer.
