Meditation and exercise transcendence activities ( ie META ) is my daily mix of affirmations: physical exercises; weightlifting; prayer and others forms of self-development.
Our mornings are already hectic so it makes sense, at least to me, to combine worship with working out.
I've always sought the ways to integrate the best of my spiritual-mental-and physical selves into upgraded unity.
Too much focus on any one part of our being, I contend, can impede growth elsewhere.
META is non-denominational so no ones spirtual toes should feel stepped upon nor is it a sales pitch for a partciular fitness device or practice.
You the reader provide daily META formats:
Your META may involve singing gospel songs and performing Yoga asanas ( postures ); Her META could wed Buddhist chanting with Afro-Brazilian martial arts... get the picture.
It's a totally open-ended daily experience.
Total self evolvement is a recipe written by the individual in different ways to address all of him/herself.
META is my daily menu. Its order changes according to inspiration while its goal, integration, remains unchanged. One sample META is:
Pushups on the front stairs ( 25 reps); Lifting 20 lb weights ( 20 reps ); Tibetian Manifestation claps ( 30 sec. min. ); Pushups; Lifting 20 lb weights; Tibetian Manifestation claps; Pushups; Lifting 20 lb weights; Tibetian Manifestation claps; Prayer ( various Islamic and other styles ); Quadraceps stretch; Arm stretch...
This META, like all others, engaged Spirit-Mind-Body separately to form ( hopefully, lol ) a better whole.
You deserve MORE of you! Please give yourself more of yourself, for all our sakes!!
