Another fine show opening with Jason Wilber, who acompanied throughout.
Greg was in good spirits and voice, in spite of claiming to have a head
cold. As he said, though, with his voice it's pretty hard to tell
whether he has a cold or not. He played a longer set than the previous
night to a fairly sedate audience - not a single person called out a
request that I could hear. I had placed a piece of paper on the stage
in front of his chair earlier with a song request, and he played it. He
used the same Walnut Sunburst Gibson (if that's the correct name)

Fashion: wiser - or stodgier counsels - must have prevailed with him,
and he left off the purple leopard welder's hat, though I spotted it on
him in the street pre-show. He wore the cowboy formal jacket with a
black tank top and cargo pants. He had an untied red tie around his
neck about which he commented that he didn't mind the formality of a
tie, he just didn't go for the the strangling feeling of having it tied
around his neck. At the end of the show he tossed it into the audience,
backed up and did a little shimmy.
